No children here, but my SIL has a son from a previous relationship and he is just as much part of the family as my other nephew. I spend the same amount on him as my biological nephews with the same love.

Personally I think most stores have their own way of obtaining ads of competitors, and that way is not by going to Black Friday sites. (Of course I am sure they go to these sites to get customer reaction to the ads.)

I buy myself at least one Christmas present each year!

I would like to get one for my sister and my mother. My sister loves to take pictures of her son and I think this would be a wonderful way for her to view her favorites while she at work.

I have 3 nephews and I hope I have been extra careful when picking out toys for them. I do have to admit they are getting far less toys from me this year than last year. I have been getting books and board games for them mostly. I think I will take follow Shopping Mom's lead and get a few puzzles. I had a ball with the board games and books when Amazon.com had their deal.

I was hoping to do this year. Last year I was on the clean up crew after our Thanksgiving dinner and didn't get home until well after midnight. So I just stayed up until it was time to leave for shopping. This year I hope to be home by 10pm and get a nap in before leaving around 4am.

It is stock up time for me again. Funny how that works. I usually run out right before Thanksgiving or just in time for their annual sale. I have gift cards to use and my friend just sent me an email letting me know she had a 10 off 30 coupon for me! I am going to feel like a spoiled kid on Christmas morning! Anyone know what time they open on BF? Last year it was the last store we went to and I didn't even think to ask what time they had opened.

Thank you! My DVD of Christmas Vacation was destroyed and I love that movie! I can watch it over and over. I also want Click and Monk season 4. (I love Monk!) Several DVD's on the list that I could watch over and over.

Yep YMMV I posted my post because I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something. I happen to feel the same way about electronics that you do on tools lol. I am sure the ads to come will have some nicer deals for those looking for them.

Those placing additional information as to why you are disappointed in the ads, thank you. From what I can see most are looking for electronics and I guess that is the one thing I tend to not look for on BF. So many other deals to be had on electronics during the year without the hassle of limited buys and camping overnight. (Limited buys on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.) Thanks again for the comments I realize I am not missing out, since electronics are not on my BF shopping lists.

I wonder that myself. Maybe it's because I have usually finished my gift shopping by BF and so far, each year, I find things I want for myself or to get a job on gift giving during the next year. I know a few will list why they are disappointed, but a lot don't they just say they don't like the ads. I want to know what I am missing out on, what type of deals are people looking to get?
