  1. ahhhh, no. you didn't mention that part
  2. bakugan!
  3. ebay, craigslist, garage sale, donate it to a charity, donate it to an auction, regift it... Target has no obligation. The giver has no obligation (though you could ask for their assistance - as others have mentioned - for them to do a look-up). there is a twisted saying: don't kick a gift horse in the mouth. It applies here.
  4. I will be out of town upholding family obligations - does some one want to log in and chat on my behalf?
  5. we have cider all year, too. I won't pay grocery store prices for it though... If I am going to pay that much I'll buy it straight from the orchard.
  6. ok, it is a good deal.... but who in their right mind pays over 100 dollars for a can opener? If I had that kind of spare money I would just get a personal cook - let them open the cans!
  7. my membership ends on friday
  8. http://www.biglots.com/dealoftheday/about.aspx
  9. thanks for the heads up
  10. the problem is by celebrating Christmas as a religious holiday (and it is a *legal* holiday as well) it is interfering with others pursuit (or lack there of) of other religions... hence the issue. OPs concern is not the ban of the holiday, so much as her co-workers not embracing the season.
  11. I have lots of coke caps...
  12. doesn't sound like you'll miss her much. probably the kids won't either.
  13. just ordered 50$ of stuff from Oriental Trading... :)
  14. I feel your pain, and they are not the only one. too make it worse my physical address and my PO box are not in the same town. I've been to the PO, and explained the problem and here is how I solve it - works some of the time.... Conj 123 Main St Apt B593 East No Where, blah blag the 123 is the physical st address and the apt is my box #.... there are only 3 people that work in the PO ... they know me... assuming the mail makes it that far. 123 Main St apt b569 is not in the postal data base... so some things don't make it this far. it sux.
  15. Yay! I brought the coupon with me and got DD a new dresser! I saved 60 bucks.
  16. the question was - is it legal - not without proper paperwork. What if you call it donation instead of cost - nope, still not legal. especially if the donation amount is mandatory and set
  17. to do it legally - depending on the State, you would need the proper permits and tax accounts (to collect meals tax) and .... the permission of the place you're selling it at.
  18. NH is tax free...
  19. I am far away from many stores. JC Penneys and walmart are nearby. Kmart, Sears, Kohls, Childrens Place and Old Navy are an hour away. Target is 2.5. I'll have to search Osh Kosh to see... Online is most helpful - if I know how the sizes run - that's why I love Children's Place ooo - there is an Osh Kosh outlet about 1.5 hr away... hmmm.....
  20. I usually get a pair or two for each child from children's place. they are 20 bucks before any sale, and I can usually walk out w/ 30% off... BUT this year I can not find boys jeans - and how do you buy for just one? So, DS refuses to give up his old ones even though they are too small! he can't even snap them any more! I know LL Bean offers some, but I'd like 20$ or less. Boys size 6 and/or 7 Girls size 7 and/or 8 TY!
  21. if stores wanted to stop ticket selling they would stamp your hand. no stamp, no product.

    Bringing the kid?

    how old is he?
  23. port-a-potties! security, so standing outside felt safer. Have the cashiers trained before BF. Forget tickets - stamp their hands, that way there are no scalping fights. you want to hawk the item - Ebay.
  24. I agree being PC sux. it is taken too far. the problem with this is I can sing you plenty of christmas carols, even though I am Jewish... they were taught in school, they are on the radio, they are in the mall... But the only Chanukah song I ever heard (before Adam Sandler) was Dreidle dreidle dreidle. As a bigger kid, and as an adult, I could hear the whining of both kids and adult who didn't know why they were being forced to sing this. It is a lousy way to react, but it is the way it is. Unfortunately left to their own devices people (in large groups, anyway) forget to be open minded. Holidays are meant to be together with family and friends. for kids, their friends are at school. they should not be forbidden their holiday, but should not be forced into another. (peer pressure is force too) OP, your co-workers are talking about the commercialization ( I suspect) and the responsibilities, instead of the joy. Joy can be found every day. if you can not share it with them, share it with the kids.
