Most of the time I do..for instance this year I am getting a new video recorder.(any suggestions welcome) but he does my stocking (usually a last minute trip to walgreens on christmas eve) He has surprised me a time or two though and took my little one to the glass blowing shop to make me an ornament.

I am lucky..I hide Zoe's gifts in my father in laws office basement. She goes to the office sometimes but never down there. It is only 5 minutes away so my hubby picks them up after she goes to sleep on Christmas Eve and I wrap them.

they are great!!! they stay warm for a long time and do keep you toasty...you just have to watch it..the first year my mom wore hers she got blisters (very sensitive skin) so now she wears it over her undershirt.

no camping for me..but I do wear a thermacare heat wrap, bring handwarmers, a hairtie, money, gc, binder with ads, list and coupons, my mamma, and debit cards also my phone for coordinating if need be..also emergency migraine medicine

My little girl asked why Santa didn't get the little girl that we had anything last year. We were doing clothes for the angel tree..so I told her that Santa gets the wants and we were helping out with the needs. It worked for me because Santa has always given her the fun toys and such and if there is a necessity in the pile it is from mommy and daddy.

i save the little stuff I get for free through the year..chapstick, lotions and such and then add what I need to..usually not a lot of candy.

That's kinda what I was thinking..lol. In a word..yes. I try to enjoy the fall and halloween..but come Black Friday it is all Christmas all the time..makes my hubby crazy!!

Yuck, this just reminded me that I am going to have to pay full price (gasp) for my cards this year as we lost most of our Christmas stuff in flooding.. Maybe I will just do a letter on pretty Christmas paper!

I am trying to get creative this year and not go crazy with toys...my little girl had a birthday in sept. and still has toys that are not opened up. I don't know how this happens..I next to never buy her a toys...but she has huge birthday parties and is the only grandchild/niece on one side and the last on the other..it is so out of control!! This year I have gotten her the target clearance video recorder and digital picture frame and the hello kitty camera (she feels she is getting too old for the fisher price one). Last year I got her a yearly pass to the zoo/science center (which we have gotten every year anyway) and wrapped it up with a pair of animal and a pair of space socks from us (Santa gets all the good stuff) I plan to get stuff to do this year (ballet, movies, plays, etc) rather than stuff to have.

i have actually shared this before..but like to remind myself to be more responsible on bf. anyway, my mom and I got to walmart at 4 to pricematch stuff before the doorbusters at 5 (so glad I can go to target this year) we got in, grabbed everything that we needed...went to pay for our stuff and I didn't have my wallet!!!! Freaked out, went outside to see if it was in the car and found it laying right by the car on the ground!!! Everything was in it, cash, cc, gift cards, everything!!! I couldn't believe it had been there for an hour and a half and remained untouched!! I am much more careful now on black friday!!

got my little one a hello kitty camera and disney video camera today without her noticing!! she is 7 now so it is hard. she was engrossed in the ads running on the tv's behind her though and I told her that I had to ask the guy at the counter something. she was like 3 feet from me!!! i took her back home and scored one of the digital picture frames too!! i am trying for non toy gifts this year as much as possible. also picked up one of each of the pirates for my nephew! and to think I almost skipped target today!

Has anyone noticed the solid color tableware on clearance yet? The 50 packs? We are having a carnival party for my little one's bday and these would be perfect..not till september though so I can wait it out!!
