  1. From what I understand from my son and dil one of two of our TRU was horrible. They was first in line. Everytime they asked an employee where something was they replied "I don't know" or if this was the correct item, "you'll have to check it out at the regrister. Very rude and not helpful at all. They forced my son to check out ahead of his wife (who didn't have the checkbook) they did not give him the train what was free with the train table. When he wanted to return to table they told him he would have to wait until 1 pm after the blist to return anything. There was a guy there (he worked at TRU) told my son that all of the blists items were in a trailer behind the store and was told NOT to unload the trailer. Sounds like they didn't want to sell the items. they also had a problem with the DSi that was advertised. Appearently there was a sleeve that was advertised to come with the DSi, but they was told it was an OR not and. They talked to the manager at the other TRU store who told them that was incorrect about the sleeve and they needed to tell the other store manager and he/she should honor the ad. They was also told that the train and table was together at their store. The zhu zhu pets.....yeah they had tickets but didnt get them. and wouldn't have gotten the FREE crayola had they not asked for them. Glad to hear that this was not a single store problem but several. Makes me not want to go there.
  2. I talked to one of the ass't managers at one of the two walmarts in my town. She told me that things would probably be scattered around the store as usual. Only thing is that there would be NO black strink wrap around them and the police would be everywhere guarding it. The store is open 24 hours and sale of course starts at 5 am.
  3. I also talked to a WM employee. She was unaware of the Saturday secret dales. Suggested that I bring the ad in with me. Which I printed out and will take with me in the morning. The ad clearly states that this is "In Store Only". Sale startes at 8 am.
  4. Thank you Countingcrow. I appreciate it!!
  5. For Best Buy I am usually in line Thanksgiving morning. And even then I'm not first in line. But the line grows very fast. Good luck!
  6. My question is, in looking at BB GPS ad. They have a 205W on front page for 99.99. A 255wt for 129.99 and a 205 for 119.99. When I go to the shopping list for BB, the list has a 255w for 99.99 and a 255wt for 129.99. Is the 205w or the 255w the doorbuster sale item? Thanks for the response. Also can you tell me the difference? :)
  7. Angeleyes28 - The lazer zero gravity that is this saturday is that--Lazer. The one on BF is (a) Mirco and ( radio controlled. I think the lazer is the better of the two.
  8. I saw the laser zero gravity on the CBS Early show. It was pretty cool, go up the wall and ceiling. They are $29 right now, so $19 is great. I'll try getting a price adjustment Sat.
  9. Cool beanz on the lazer hog. I just bought one for $29. Gonna get my price adjustment Sat. Thanks for the post
  10. The very nice thing about Kohl's is that you can shop on line after midnight. You get the BF pricing, the discount (15%), usually free shipping and NO long line to stand in. My kind of store!!! Thanks Brad for ALL your hard work for us! And the rest of you Mods!!!
  11. Ok Brad I ordered my reuseable bags. I hope I get to use them this year. LOL Me not go Black Friday Shopping. Only if I'm dead.
  12. For those who shop Kohls....remember that at midnight (EST I think) you can order online and get the BF prices. Not sure how the Target 5am opening will effect me, we are usually at BB, but Target and Kohls are in the same parking lot.
  13. I got to our store at 8:30 am line already to the edge of the parking lot. before the doors opened at 9 a.m. the line was all the way to back of parking lot. There was several sizes and colors for everyone. They did NOT impose the 5 pair limit. It took me 2 hours to get thru the checkout line. ON employees enticed ppl to fill out credit appt to get to the front of line. Funny thing is that line was long also. LOL I ended up with 67 pair. 12 were for my DIL and her aunt. the rest is for our church camp. I guess I didn't get enough b/c I went back later this afternoon (around 4:30). There was still some on the shelf. Pick up 14 more pairs. This was definately worse than BF. LOL
  14. gulliam, It may be possible that with the salmonella-tainted peanut butter your candy bar my not be available right now.
  15. DLP (Digital Light Projector) - Yes they have lamps which depending upon how much you watch or listen to the tv various on life of lamp. Power surges when the set is on can shorten the life of the lamp. Lamps run appr $250, the extended warranty will only pay for 1 replacement or could even NOT pay at all. The Mitsubishi DLP like any DLP have their problems. Thermal sensor and one os the sandwich boards. DLP has acolor wheel which spins all the time when unit is on. This motor can and will go bad. Sometimes the color wheel can be purchased separately and sometimes part of the light engine. The light engine being the most expensive part in the set. The LCD rear projection simular to the DLP, except instead of a color wheel the LCD rear projection has a 3 chip color panel (no moving parts). Lamps run roughly the same. The Optic block assembly (light engine) is still the most expensive part of the set. LCD flat panels - depending upon brands, I since LESS breakdowns on the SonyLCD flat panels. Philips (now Funai) small signal boards going bad. Good luck getting a good part first time around from Philips. Samsung main boards failing, LCD panels failing. Whatever you buy, do yourself a favor and buy the extended warranty. The new technology will breakdown in and out of warranty. They are board level repairs and expensive. Boards start out around at least $300 and go up. I've been told....If the room that you are planning on putting the tv in has a LOT of light go for the LCD flat panel. If it does't have a lot of light then Plasma. Because of the glass on the plasma, a lot of light will cause a glare on the glass, where the LCD flat panel has a matte type finish. I hope this helps. Good luck

  19. My family in Arkansas when we get together we buy for the small kids. And the adults we have been doing 'Dirty Santa" and have different themes each year. My family in Texas I buy for the younger nieces and nephew.
