  1. If anyone is military with Aafes.com access you can get $10 off a Gamezone purchase of $25 Nov 11-19 by using the code 9290enewsgz1. It doesn't include preorders or gift cards, but some good games for kids are released the 17th that I am waiting on so hope it helps someone else. https://shop.aafes.com/shop/default.aspx?loc=b2b/redirect.asp~VendorID=21343112 <-- link to site sign in :)
  2. We love all the lego games, but as a family we play de Blob and we got a new inexpensive one called squeeballs. It's okay depending on your view of violence....they are stuffed animals that you are testing. We ordered the new Super Mario Bros for xmas and I'm super excited to play it.
  3. I am making the pop bottle gifts with two of five dollar gift tokens from target, small toys for the treasure box and the little 1.00 hand sanitizer from bbw. I thought it was classroom oriented enough.
  4. I'm really hoping they put some of this online. I have skipped Target the last couple of years completely, but they have 3 or 4 of the midpriced items I need. Of course this year hubby is deployed so I'm home with the kids BF morning.
  5. Thanks, Brad for everything you do. We appreciate it all year round.
  6. I have seen them in our Old Navy store in girls sizes and here online. http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=6115
  7. My MIL gave me an inexpensive mens sweater for my first xmas with DH's family. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wouldn't have said that she bought it for me cuz she doesn't like the way girls now think they should wear low cut, tight clothing. Needless to say I was sitting there in a lowcut, formfitting sweater and have always worn formfitting, but appropriate things.
  8. We bought a reduced one that didn't have the wireless and were really not impressed. It needed to be updated and you had to get a thumb drive and move the update to it from the thumb drive. We returned it and got a netflix/wifi one and it's much better.
  9. Peaceful time with family and another year of health and happiness
  10. That's important for everyone. I learned this one the hard way.
  11. I let my boys believe whatever they believe as did my mother. I think they will believe even with the discouraging evidence and others saying he's not real. It's fun just to play along and I know I did until I was a teen. I wouldn't go out of your way to continue the illusion by buying them more gifts though. Oh, and btw my sister and I were excellent rewrappers so I would becareful with even those from you and your hubby.
  12. Great topic, I was considering something for my son this year as well. He's 9 so I don't know where to start, but I will watch this thread for ideas.
  13. I think you are reffering to the amex/MC etc gift cards that you put money on and they charge you a few bucks? I would call up your bank and ask them about getting a debit card for the acct. Otherwise, budget, budget, budget and use cash. I'm actually using a CC and I am going to pay it off when I get home with my checking acct. Like I said though, budgeting is the key here.
  14. Yep, my boys buy a toy that they would like and I pick up sheets on clearance when I see them during the year and "wrap" the toy in it. A local childrens home here gives them to children in transition through the foster home system. I like the idea for the older people though.
  15. That's nice. Casket shopping from the comfort of my home. I half expected to find it under "storage" Btw go read the comments/ratings, they are hilarious. Oh, and gift options aren't available either for those of you shopping for your mother in law.
  16. To Kill a Mockingbird I still want to have a little girl and name her Scout.
  17. I've gotten good deals at Tires plus, but I don't konw if they do an official Black Friday deal.
  18. This is solely responsible for my ten lb weight gain last xmas. Well, that and the crazy guests at my family xmas stressing me out. Better then *everything* cake 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 jar caramel, butterscotch or fudge ice cream topping 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip 1 Heath candy bar crumbled Bake cake as directed on package (9 x 13 inch pan) and let cool. With a wooden spoon handle, punch holes about one inch apart over entire cake. Pour whole can of sweet milk into holes. Pour entire jar of topping over cake. Pour entire container of Cool Whip over the topping. Spread crumbled Heath bar over all. Allshoppedout - I would cut and paste each recipe into a word document and print it. Then cut and paste each onto cards. GL
  19. I don't have personal experience with this, but this video about a home shopping network selling them made me laugh. The guy didn't snap them on completly.... I'll save you some time and boredom....the good stuff is at 5:05.
  20. I shop alone. I'm a control freak so my hubby won't shop with me when I'm on a mission and I'm easily annoyed by my friends wandering and slowpoking. hehe I like to get in and get out.
  21. Excludes preorders I'll wait on this one since I don't even need the three I will end up buying. lol
  22. We did have a problem with Dell and their delivery time. We ordered over a week before Black Friday and they took over 4 weeks preparing our order. It was extremely frustrating.
  23. I just want to see fall here. It's 86 outside right now. I like looking at the pics of snow though. It makes me happy and feel like it really is getting close to BF. Maybe it will snow when we go North for the holidays.
