  1. Ya, I'm glad to hear they are coming USPS also. I ordered that before I knew we were moving, but such a small package I hope they forward it.
  2. My mother never wrote on packages and our stockings never had names. My kids stockings have names, but I still refuse to write on the packages. Each kid gets a pile or stack and I put an ornament or decoration with their name done on it on top.
  3. My neighbor was 11 and I was 5 and she told me that Santa wasn't real, Michael Jackson was white, the colors black and white aren't really colors AND that a little girl froze to death that winter when she had to go outside to pee because they didn't have plumbing. She was thorough, but the funny thing was our water got turned off that winter and I refused to go outside to pee until the sun was up. I did still believe in Santa though since we went out to eat dinner on Christmas eve that year and when we got home Santa had brought presents, let the dog in and put a bow on her. LOL It was actually THE most perfect Christmas ever. We also had snow drifts the next day to the top of the doors! I just hope my kids can look back and have at least one great Santa Christmas.
  4. Don't they always have something for the new year? Last year it was no sign up fee and maybe even a discount on your first few mths. I would go to the free meeting in your town and then when the New Years comes ask again. I sometimes get them so I'll keep my eyes open for one. Sorry that I'm no help at the moment.
  5. We moved and I stuck a scooter in a hall closet thinking there was no way my 5 year old was going to go looking for presents. We were getting ready to go ride bikes and he told me, "I really wish I could ride my star wars scooter." Needless to say I called hubby while we were out and he rehid the rest the presents. Otherwise when I order online I send them to Grandmas house where we'll be.
  6. Masilke if they try those discounts at mine I'll laugh. Christmas stuff was 50% off when I was in there this week and most of it was gone. I don't think I'll go to this one. Old bx was half as small but had way better toy section and selection overall. I'm sad for this bx.
  7. They were in stock at my mall yesterday starting at $399 and going up from there. They had a pyramid of them so like 6 or more. It was one of those gaming places and btw it was the mall in Mary Esther, FL. I just don't see these going out of stock where I am. I even saw that walmart and circuit city had some more.
  8. My hubby has to buy a gift for a secret santa in his new shop. We're new here so we don't know the guy. He asked someone what he likes and they told him that all he does is piddle around in his lawn and drink whiskey. So, I said we should get him a Lowe's card. We have to spend at least $15, but I don't know if it's weird to give just a gift card or what we should do. I don't want hubby to look like a fool so I'm hoping you all can help. Thanks.
  9. I was in my BX and there was an associate on the phone saying that they were holding stuff in the back for Thursdays Midnight Madness. That's good for my BX since there was nothing there when I was there yesterday. BTW I'm talking about Hurlburt Field BX.
  10. There are some mp3 players in the Toys R US ad as 50% off this week. We bought an cheap one and it's held together excellent. Just look for one with nice size buttons to control it. It's a pain when you are trying to skip a song while running and can't get it to change.
  11. QVC has Dell's XPS 400 desktop and wireless laptop for a really great price. I've had my eye on a very similar XPS 400 desktop for hubby for much more. If you're looking for a laptop or desktop for more then just surfing (online gaming etc) this one looks good. http://www.qvc.com/
  12. My sister had a bunch of packages stolen in Kansas City, MO. I think they were even baby gifts for her new baby. I like to get to know my delivery people. Then I can tell them not to leave packages or whatever. I have problems with apartment complexes signing for your packages and not telling you that you have a package. We lost some holiday cookies our first year away from family.
  13. Akuma I had the 6000 and loved it (We payed more then 750). It actually got broke by my husband and we upgraded to the 8600. We bought our 6000 for road trip dvd playing and surfing. We upgraded the memory and hard drive and it was even great for online gaming. We love all our dells that we own and are plan on purchasing again very soon.
  14. I am at a loss for what to get my MIL. I want to get her a great gift. The catch is she doesn't like designer items, she won't spend a gift card on herself, and she has 4 grandkids living with her. I'm willing to put some money into it if it is a really great gift. Please someone help me, I only have a few more days. Thanks
  15. Do you have to be a cardmember? I saw these last year and forgot to check in when the items change.
