My husband's TV was $600 so including that- around $2000. I have two kids and 3 dogs. I also buy for my 3 nieces and nephew, sister, MIL, BIL, and my parents.

I absolutely LOVE National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! I bought it on Amazon this year for $5. Not shipped as yet, but will be watching it tonight!

No school still for my kids today... I think I will start wrapping more this week. I have about 25% done. Which is slow for me. I usually try to wrap as I buy. I got my stocking stuffers done this week end so I'm officially DONE shopping. Of course I just bought two more gifts for my kids... Oops. lol. Miley cyrus book for my daughter I forgot she wanted and the Family Guy seasons 1-7 DVD boxes set for my son. Gotta watch my impulse buying from here on out. lol

This year my 15 yr old came with my to TRU. It was a mess. Over 1000++ people there. I would say over 150+ were trying to rush the doors. TRU wouldn't open the doors until 12:20am. Cops showed up. Blocked doors with their cars. I didn't see it, but on the radio and newspaper reported almost a dozen arrested. (2 fights broke out). Now my son is 15, but 6' tall and 200lbs. He is as big as any adult. He actually put me behind him. LOL. He asked me if BF was usually like this. I said no, but he is done with shopping on BF now. lol

I've never done the parental block, but my husband knows how to do it. Its a permanent mute so your child cannot actually participate in conversations. So far my 15 yr old is pretty good. He will get in some arguments with people and we have to go in the game room to tell him to calm down but it usually stops when we tell him we will make him get off it continues. He's on it right now actually. He love it as he goes on with a bunch of friends from school.

yes you can totally mute conversations if you want. there is also parental block available.

My 15 yr old has all the games you listed plus some. Halo 3/Left 4 Dead 2 is gore. Some language, but its mainly the content... Blood and graphic scenes. He also goes on XBox live. yes you get idiots swearing. You are talking to adults/kids all over the world. Sometimes I hear my son yelling at someone and go into his room (game room) to stop it. But for the most part its not bad at all. You can mute people so you can't hear them (if they are foul or bothering anyone). My son uses that feature all the time. He also loves the game Borderlands.

Well my count was off. According to our paper over 1000 in line! Guess when you are at the beginning of the line you can't really tell how far back the line was! Apparently it didn't end where I thought it did... It went around the next business over and then some. 4 business to be exact. Here I said 300+ lol. Add 700 apparently. lol. CRAZY! over a dozen arrested per our paper (radio said 5). Must have happened after I went in. I thought when the police showed up they got it under control. Apparently not.

I got one. We were allowed to take anything from pallets and put it in our carts. Just couldn't check out until 5am. (Only ticketed items you had to wait in line).

Got it for my sister. I bought it on Thanksgiving Day. Love the free shipping too

The one item that my sister wanted that started at 5am still rang up the 9.98 price. It was the bulls eye baseball game. So she got it and didn't have to wait for it!

Just got back from TRU... Heading back out in a half hour or so. NEVER AGAIN will I go to my TRU. So unorganized. Not inside, but outside. I got there by 8:45pm. I was roughly 50th in line. First people there at 2pm for the zhu zhu's. By 11pm there was over 300++ people in line. By 11:30pm they were parking across the street at the Great Escape and walking over. Police at the entrance directing traffice. Line at this point was stretching around 3 buildings. OVER 150 people trying to line jump. They actually lined up in front of the doors. A riot practically broke out. People yelling/swearing/ 2 guys starting fightiing. Police called. They were breaking everything up. At this point TRU wouldn't open because of safety reasons. FINALLY police cars pulled in front of the doors. We were allowed in by 12:20am! Ridiculous. Over an hour and 20 minutes to check out. UGH.

As long as it doesn't say Friday 5am then you can get it at midnight. That is the way I understood it.

So has everyone decided what time they are heading to TRU?

Got 3 video games and got FREE shipping.

Luckily everything we need starts at midnight, but one item (says 5am). My TRU has self checkers for prices. I'll cross my fingers my one item rings up the BF price. We'll see. If not, I will buy and price adjust later after my other stores. Per manager I talked to they will price adjust.

LOVE national Lampoon's christmas vacation and of course The Christmas story. (we went to the house located in cleveland, ohio 2 years ago... It was so much fun)

Then at midnight when the sale starts at TRU... Start price matching at Walmart!

Does Walmart close on Thanksgiving or is it open?

They usually always keep the video games in the ad in the R Zone. Never on the floor. In recent years (at least at my TRU) you have to buy them in the R Zone too. OR they offer to hold them for you behind the desk until you are done shopping on the floor.

Talking to an assistant manager at my Target.. We've gotten friends so to speak seeing how I'm there all the time. Not first name basis, but talk all the same. Anyhoo, I asked about price adjustments (buy now and adjust on Friday morning). She said they have no problem with it and people have been doing it since the store opened, so why stop it now? Either way we get their business (love her attitude). I asked about the TV (don't need it though) and she said people have been buying them all day! She told me she had to hold at least 10 for Friday though. I think they had over 50 of them. Back stock person was to call her when it got down to 10 then they would cut it off.

Not on my list, but this will make it ridiculously CRAZY. UGH. May have to rethink my line up time
