Last week Brad posted the "One Day In-Store Specials" on Monday, 11/2 for the Saturday, 11/7 sale. While the cell phone/toy ad says "in-store special only", the Blackberry cell phones are a week long sale. At the bottom of the ad it says: "Event Dates: 11/14/09 to 11/20/09 starting Sat. Nov 14th at 8:00am." Still have fingers crossed that maybe later today, or tomorrow we'll see some more one day in-store specials...

The ad did say 256mb. But from what I have read, the newer Arcade units *should* ship with the new Jasper 512mb processor, even though the box says 256mb. According to folks over on Amazon, the way to check, without opening the box, is to look through the viewing window in the box's cover. If it says "12 V DC, 12.1 A" then the processor is a 512mb Jasper. I don't have an Xbox, so I can't verify this method of checking firsthand... Hope this helps! :)

IMO, this netbook isn't something I'd buy for my kids. The CPU speed is only 400MHz, so it's going to be *very* slow by todays standards. It might be ok for email, but it's not going to handle web browsing & online games very well, if at all. There should be much better netbooks to come...

Plus the screen size is only 7". I agree, not much of a deal at all...

This only works for me if the limo takes me to all the *rest* of the stores I need to shop on BF... Guess BB opening time will be 5am, as the contest winners get to go in at 4:30am. Was wondering if they'd be opening earlier as some of the other stores are.

The BB where we BF shop absolutely will not allow connections to their network. Being a long time BF shopper there (as well as other times of the year) some management and many employees know us. While they would like to oblige us, they consider it a security risk. I can understand that, as I won't run my home router unsecured. I now borrow my SO's brothers Sprint wireless card for BF so I don't worry about locating an unsecured network.

I don't think that BB will have the incentive to offer any exceptional DB or ad pricing, as they have done in the past, with CC out of the picture. And the BB prices last BF weren't anything to write home about... BB BF lines will probably be longer, as well. Lose a major 'tech' competitor and some retailer(s) will benefit from the loss. C'mon BB. Make a liar out of me and have some great prices this year. I dare ya! :eyepoppin:eyepoppin

Three years ago we were 2nd in line at BB. First person in line was this young fellow. It was his first BB BF. He decided he was gonna be the self appointed 'line cop' and proceded to start a list, write down what each person wanted, and pass out numbers to people. Tried to explain to him that BB won't even look at his list, but he was sure they would. Sure kept him busy all night, as when new folks showed up he was right there with his list and numbers. And being 1st in line got him on the evening news, where he explained 'his' system! Of course, when the BB employee came out @ 3am to pass out the doorbuster tickets our 'line cop' was right there and handed him his list. The BB employee laughed, handed the list back and said, "we don't use lists." :D:D

I emailed [email protected] yesterday and received a reply today with the information that price adjustment is valid on the 2-day sale ad. I signed the email with my name and Target used my name in their email reply.

The BF Fri/Sat ad price for the 2GB PNY Secure Digital (SD) card is $14.99. I went to order online, for store pickup, and was suprised to see the F&F/VIP online price is $12.49. They deduct the 10% discount of $1.25 for a net price of $11.24. That beats the OM price of $12.99 for the 2GB Sandisk SD cards. I was able to order at 6:30pm EST.

I received my combo pack and I'm very pleased. Thanks for the fast shipping, Brad! :)
