  1. You didn't miss anything. Brad posted that prior to the release of the 2007 McDonald's Monopoly game rules. Best Buy isn't participating this year. McDonald's 2007 game partners are Toys R Us and Foot Locker. Best Buy will still have some great prices on TV's on BF. I'm in the market for a 37" LCD HD...
  2. Last year we were at BB at 9am on Thursday (2nd and 3rd in line so there was 1 person more nuts than us. He had arrived Wednesday night and slept in his van!). We're usually out until 2-3pm on BF. Then we pass out...
  3. We started in 2002 and I have been with GD since 2004.
  4. My SO and I go. Family thinks we're nuts (and they may be right) but they sure don't complain about their holiday gifts!
  5. I have last years Sears F&F .pdf and the sale included Sears, Sears Essentials & Sears Hardware.
  6. It's not nice to fight with an old lady (me), especially an old lady using a metal cane (me, again)! They might get it out of my hands, but I'll be darned if they avoid the cane...
  7. BB, CC and such are like 'adult' TRU's... stuff for us really big kids
  8. Cabbage Patch Kids, in '83. DD had to have one. She was 5. Was on a wait list but just before Xmas there were still hundreds of people ahead of me. I came up with this story that I had talked to Santa and there hadn't been any rain at the cabbage patch. Santa would have to wait for rain until the cabbage patch could produce more kids but he would bring hers as soon as he was able. Guess I got the call from TRU in Jan or early Feb. Wrapped it in Xmas paper and put it on her dresser so she'd see it when she woke up in the morning. She came screaming out of her bedroom saying Santa hadn't forgotten her. Amazing the stories you can sell a 5 year old :)
  9. Heh. You'd have folks lining up in WM on Wednesday. Maybe earlier... I think stationchief got 'Frieked' out...
  10. But does renting a kid violate child labor laws???
  11. My SO and I have dinner with his family. Might have to request a 'take out' depending on the time we need to get in the BF line, though...
  12. I'm still stuck in the yo-yo and hula hoop craze And I did see the new Barbie with dog that poops. Scary thing is it will sell....
  13. I'm still trying to figure out the 14 year old boy who was in line behind us at BB. Wouldn't say what he was planning to get and didn't take a ticket for the doorbusters. But he made numerous phone calls overnight, asking people to bring him things... something to eat, then a jacket, then a 6 pack of soda. And different people actually brought them! Last time I saw him he was wandering through the video game section with empty hands...
  14. Gee, Ross. Glad to see the surgery has done wonders (ie: your avatar)
  15. Central Florida here. Welcome new GottaDeal'ers & welcome back to us 'old timers' :)
  16. I think you'll find LCD/Plasma TV's and LCD computer monitors at really great prices this year.
  17. I've accumulated a few things so far but wait for BF to get the really big deals on electronics.
  18. My adult daughter gets money. For my SO's daughter (15) we have a few PS2 games, pajamas & slippers, and shoes so far.
  19. I had a Little Tykes box for my daughter many years ago. Lasted forever and was handed down to my cousin's kids.
  20. No cards here. I do send a few email xmas greetings, though...
  21. No theme here. Just an assortment of mostly handmade ornaments over the many years. This year I did some plastic canvas ornaments for our tree, and to give as gifts. Having some ornament sets to spare comes in handy if I need a last minute gift for someone.
  22. I'm usually done by the first, second week of December. My SO, on the other hand, is usually out Xmas eve picking up some stuff. He says he likes those last minute markdowns.
  23. Yes, they had a 1 page flyer. And a free breakfast until 9 or 10 am, if I recall correctly. Mostly electronic items, I think. Even though I am a Sam's member there wasn't anything listed I was interested in.
  24. Thanks for the replies, folks. Looks like a store specific/region specific policy vs. a chain wide policy. Depending on this years ad, may have to speak to the store manager before BF to clarify their policy.
  25. If WM has something in their ad that I am looking for, then I'll shop there. WM being the first store I shop that day depends on my priority for the item versus the other retailers.
