Alot of that stuff has a markup of close to 100%. What little they lose they more than make up for. Retail stores would not have these sales if there was no profit in it.

Thomas the Train! My son was introduced to this when he was almost 2 and plays with his trains daily ( he is almost 5 now). We purchased the wooden railway and not the cheaper plastic set.

Our town (Fort Wayne IN) has tried several times to block Walmart to no avail. We currently have 3 huge superstores here and Walmart is planning to build 3 more. I really can't see many smaller businesses surviving. Walmarts business practices are horrid. For now I will shop at Target and stay out of Walmart.

I wanted to get a cheap laptop too,, but my DH said not to waste my money on that junk because I wouldn't be happy for very long. Unfortunately he is right again..........I'll just keep saving for my ibook (he doesn't want me to get that either, he's a Windows only type guy). So far I haven't seen much that makes me want to get up before 4 am..........maybe Circuit city??

Hmmm, maybe if I don't shower for a few days prior to BF and then chain smoke my cigars everyone will leave and I'll be first in line.............its a thought, LOL

Here in Indiana Meijer has always honored BF pricing from other stores. My sister goes there first every year while the rest of the city seems content to stand in long lines at Target and Walmart.

LOL, my grandmother! Every year I get a bag full of the ugliest Christmas ornaments she could find at the day after Christmas sales and every year I get some awful Vera Bradley bag from my aunt.
