  1. Maybe some homemade scottish shortbread? It's super easy to make - it's just butter, flour and sugar. Our office has started doing Secret Santas and we've included our boss .. so we only have to buy one gift. phew.
  2. I usually start out Thanksgiving day at KMart to pick up pillows - lol. Then I get the hardcopy ads for PMing and planning. I'll do some online shopping T'giving day. After dinner, I'll head to our outlet mall which open at midnight. I'll spend a few hours shopping then I'll head to the 24 hour Walmart for the rest of my stuff. Then to Best Buy and maybe Target. Depends on the time. Usually home by 11am.
  3. The extra sale stuff that WM added at the last minute was chaos at the WM I shopped at. Management didn't even know of a few of the items and weren't sure they got them in. I was lucky and they were taking names and numbers for what I wanted. They called me the next day and I picked up the computer I was after. I will be doing alot of my shopping online on Thanksgiving day for the 4th year in a row. I did that at BestBuy.com last year and selected in store pickup. Of course, the doorbusters weren't included - but that was fine by me.
  4. We luv MP8 ..
  5. Try a google search for "gifts in a jar". You won't believe the hours you'll spend looking at all the ideas that are out there. I'm too cheap to buy a book - what can I say? lol Pinking shears and some fabric swatches are all you need for lid covers. You can buy Mason jars by the case in the grocery store - or even put a post out on Craigs list or your local freecycle. You might be able to pick some up for free. You'd just need to buy the seals.
  6. This is a good site .. it even gives you labels to put on the jars! http://www.allfreecrafts.com/giftinajar/bath-salts.shtml They are super easy to make. The essential oils used to scent them with can be pricey - but you only use a few drops at a time so a little goes a long way.
  7. We went last year for the first time and can't wait to go again. I love that they play our city really close to Christmas!
  8. Have you tried doing the self scan? You scan your own coupons at those. As long as it scans, the machine will take it.
  9. The bulk section is usually just a temporary/seasonal section. They normally put it out when they start putting out their back to school section and then again right after the holidays. At least where I live they do. I like shopping it when they clearance it out.
  10. They must be thinking they'll come in. I have my eye on a few things at Target.com and they show "available soon" and they won't let you order them.
  11. Great, they run a sale then take their site down for maintenance? WTF?
  12. I know that Target has told me that the receipt won't show up in their system for 24 hours after the transaction. I found some cute dresses and skirts 75% off last night. I hate to try things on in the store - so I hope they fit! Our summer stuff was only 30% off last night - but there was tons of it. Beach towels, blankets, dishes, chairs .. everything summer - except grills and patio stuff.
  13. Target does not do price adjustments on clearance items. If you repurchase the item at the lower price, you can return the higher priced one within the 90 day return time frame. If you don't have your receipt, and need them to do receipt look up, pay with a different form of payment as with receipt look up, it looks for the lower priced item on that card (or so that's what Target has told me).
  14. Although I love H&M styles, I can never seem to get pieces that fit me. I think it's because they are a junior cut and I can't wear those. I shop Kohls when they have their 80% clearance. Find a Goodwill shop in an upscale neighborhood - you'd be surprised what you can find in there.
  15. We are having a blast playing Mario Party 8. Kids are playing even as I type.
  16. Stocked up on the gum and mints last night. Also picked up a cable box for my computer for $14.xx - 75% off. I have already have Time Warner Cable internet, but the router I bought doesn't have the best reception. Hope it works! But now that I am looking at my receipt, I see they didn't charge me for it. Got a beautiful white Isaac M white wrap sundress marked 75% off for 9.96. It looks so cute! One I was quite excited about was the 800 thread count sheet (fitted queen only) I picked up for $19.99. Also picked up a bottle of Organix shampoo (located in the salon quality haircare aisle). It wasn't on sale, but it had a coupon for Try Me Free .. so got a $6.99 bottle of shampoo for free after the rebate.
  17. It was a regular Target. They weren't locked up in the case, they were with some of the other Ninentendo games. Took them to the scanner and 2 our of 6 were mismarked on the shelves. The one with the steering wheel was in the electronics/games clearance on an endcap.
  18. I finally caught some of the Wii games on clearance. The only one that was marked was the one that comes with the free steering wheel for $24.xx. The other ones weren't marked clearance, they were just sitting on the shelf. I picked up Banyard Animals and Chicken little .. one was $19.xx and the other one was $24.xx. DDs b-day is next week .. great timing! I really wanted Happy Feet as someone mentioned it was clearanced, but the ones I found all rang up full price.
  19. Can you give more info? What games were on clearance? Where did you find them?
  20. anyone know how you can use these in the store?
  21. You can shop with them online as well. Max shipping is $14.95 and min shipping is $4.95.
