Exactly. I know I've tried to have them look things up that I had bought that day and they couldn't - said it took 24 hours to register.

Here's also an interesting tidbit about Target's receipt lookup. It looks for the item you purchased last. So if you bought something and then bought it again at a lower price, go to return the higher priced item without the receipt - the receipt look up would refund it at the lower price. Another reason I've started keeping my Target receipts separate and handy!

I was able to score one of the ESPN football games yesterday. I was so excited! It also appears that some of the Scene it games have made their way back to the regular shelves at one of the Targets I went to. If you look at the stickers and don't see the game listed, it has probably been clearanced. I picked up and scanned the HP Scene it, ESPN Sports both scanned at like $7.xx. I also picked up a CSI Game for $6.xx. Great day at my Target!

Well my Target has finally marked those MP3 player lamps down 75% to 7.48 each. My DDs will love these! The kids toys were wiped out, but the ladies toys (SHOES) were not. A picked up a few pair of boots 75% off .. yipee for me!

Time Warner Cable usually offers some type of new customer deal. I know I signed on with them last year with HD service. You have to specifically tell them you want a HD tuner before they come out and install them. The only nice thing is that they do not charge you more for the HD tuner.

I miss Publix .. I loved to cruise over there on my lunch hour when I lived in Atlanta and do some shopping and then grab a Cuban sandwich from the deli. No Publix in NC

The store Justice has a huge line of HSM stuff too. It's a tad pricey though.

You have to check the prices on the toys. All of the signs read 30% off, but some of them are marked up to 75% - it just depends on the toy. I guess it's easier to just put up one sign and then mark them all different. I watched a Target put out boxes and boxes of clearance toys the other day.

I bought the Hello Kitty water dispenser for $9.98 too and the Hello Kitty coffee maker for $4.98! All 3 of my Targets are still at 75% off for Christmas, but I swear they put out new stuff everyday! I scored one of the traveling coolers that plugs into your lighter for $7.50 and I did 10 bags of the Kissables for free. Yipee! But my steal of the day was a burgundy wool pea coat for .. $6.42. OMG .. I about died when I saw the price on that coat! It was originally over $70! The Cascade gel tabs at my Target with the snowman actually scan at the full price.

The only thing that kills these deals is the outrageous shipping that Target.com charges.

A travel agent can be your best bet because they can tell you when the cheapest fares are available. They can look at all the airlines at the same time. They can do your legwork for you, some charge a fee if you only purchase airline tickets with them though so ask in advance. BUT .. if you are not flexible on your dates of travel, you might have a hard time get flights cheap traveling over the dates you want .. on a Friday and the weekend after St. Patrick's day FYI ..

I'm still waiting on a rebate from PC Connection for a monitor I purchased back in MAY. I've called now 4 times and still no check.

I picked up boxed cards on New Year's Eve for $1.00 a box while I was out of town. Get home and my Kroger had them at 75% off. I definately scored on that one.

Even though you might now see something in the Christmas aisle, you have to keep checking as people return things. I went Wednesday, filled up my buggie and went back again last night and found new things! Yippee! I snagged one of those fiber optic skating scenes for 9.99 last night! That small curio cabinet finally went to 75% off too. It's now 24.xx (its the one that's only like 3 feet high).

Driving thru my new neighborhood last night, I was surprised how many houses remain decorated outside. And I'm not the only one with my tree still up!
