Our CC wasn't doing the $24.00 gift cards on BF. I know my email specifically said to go to the store after noon on Friday. I know I spent more than 30 minutes waiting for them to find my items.

I don't put gifts out until after the kids have left for their dad's on christmas Eve. But at my house we have the peek and it goes back rule.

mmmm... I think I'd be threatening the DS9 with gifts of say .. My Little Pony if he doesn't fess up to what he knows!

lol .. my latest thing is that both of my kids have asked for Touch Ipods which are so not in my budget or so they think. I said something about going to the store to buy a touch .. then I stopped .. omg the looks on their faces were priceless! It will be even more priceless when they see their faces on Christmas morning and that is their gift!

Target will have some Wii games on sale this weekend. I know I'm getting Big Brain Academy and Smarty Pants. Circuit City has some Wii games on sale this weekend as well. I want to say they were running a sale on Super Mario Galaxy. I haven't seen the other ones mentioned on sale.

Okay, so here's another question. I order the item now and select instore pickup. They will hold my item for 14 days. I go in and pick up the item during their sale. The items I'm buying are not on the 6 hour sale, but on the 2 day sale. They should give me the sale price that is in effect when I pick up my item - right?

It didn't give the buy online option for everything. I was mostly looking at the games, DVDs and that Virgin Mobile phone.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with some of the PP. Why would you go and ignore a relative and make everyone else miserable? That would ruin everyone's holiday to be put in the middle of a stressful situation. I'd show up for dessert only or go before everyone gets there. Unless you can just forgive her and move on - that's the best idea I have. This what I tell my kids - God can forgive anyone anything - so why can't you?

To cross the border by car, you do not need a passport until sometime in 2009. Maybe. They are trying to work something out that you don't have to have a passport to drive across the border. The restaurant spots you mentioned that you are looking for coupons for are so popular, it is rare to find a coupon for them. The only coupons I've seen is for a free item if you purchase something in the gift shop. You'll see tons of coupon books when you get there and I think you'll find a Ripleys coupon. BTW - they have a great light display for the holidays. Have fun!

No and this year both of my kids have come to me wanting me to take them to the mall so they can pick up stuff they've been saving their money for. We had a huge fight last night because I am such a mean mom that I wouldn't take them to Best Buy. I stood my ground - both of the things they wanted to buy with their saved money were things that I had or will be getting them for Christmas. Plus I have all my family asking me what my kids want for Christmas. I told them they had to make me a list since I wasn't going to let them buy anything - geez .. it's not like they have to wait a year for a CD .. My rule is no buying stuff for yourself after Nov 1. lol

When I was married we had this same problem with my in laws. We would end up getting them a gift certificate to their favorite grocery store. I mean everyone has to buy groceries right? I'm in this same boat with my step-dad. If he wants something, he just goes out and buys it. He retired last year and he told me that he found himself going to the movie all by himself the other day. So this year he's getting gift certificates to the local movie theatre.

My DD13 and I make banana bread for all of her teachers (she has 5). We also give loaves of banana bread to the folks that brave the cold and work the carpool lane at school. And give a loaf to her afternoon bus driver as well. She likes that she helps make it. In fact, last year she made it all by herself.

The only TRU now is in Cary. I wasn't around last year - but the year before at 5am 2 people were in line. I normally buy off line on turkey day and get most of what I need - even the doorbusters.

And you can tell if you can purchase it online or not! If you click on the item and see the option to buy online then you're all set. And what I saw you could buy online you can shop on Thanksgiving day!

The BB BF ad is now online. You can click on the DVD you want and if you get an option to purchase online than you can. If you click on it and get an option to only add it to you shopping list - than you have to buy it instore.
