I love Aldi - but if you don't get to the store within a day of their flyer everything is gone!

If she likes tea - let me recommend something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex-K2070-Automatic-Electric/dp/B00023XCWS/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1288120091&sr=8-13 It boils water in less than 2 minutes - it is the most awesome thing I have ever bought for anyone! My Stepdad loves tea, and he uses his kettle every day! Make sure you get a brand that has an automatic shut off. What's nice about it is that most folks put the water in a mug in the microwave - which makes the mug hot. And if you boil water on the stove, you wait for the element to get hot. No chance of getting burned - and like I said it boils water in less than 2 minutes.

HELP with New ways to celebrate christmas when there is a loss in the family
AndreaInNC replied to nnmfam's topic in 2010
I am so sorry for your loss. A friend went through the same thing last year and she made memory books for her kids. She took all the holiday photos of the kids with their dad and make them each a personal book filled with holiday pics of that child with their dad. I know after the loss of both of my parents I wanted to crawl into a hole the 2 Christmases after they passed. But because of my kids, I mustered something - still not sure what it was and got me through it. I did a bit each day - instead of normally doing it all in one day. That helped me some. But I still don't celebrate like I used too. It's too hard sometimes! But I agree with others - keep some traditions and start some new ones. -
Our 24 hour Walmart started letting to buy things that were not the big ticket items before 5am. Ticked off alot of people because it wasn't announced. The Itouches were gone way before 5am. But it made sense - cause if you were in line for a big ticket item, how else were you suppose to get the rest of your shopping done? I was happy, but others were not.

do what I used to do when my kids were little - I wrapped EVERYTHING. If one of their gifts was a pair of socks - I would put each sock in a box and wrapped it. That way they had tons to open, and our tree was full - but in actuality, I didn't spend a lot of money! They got 2 big gifts, then alot of fluff. Picked up a bunch of stuff on clearance and the dollar store which helped a bunch! Of course, it also depends on how old your kids are. I think the older they are, the less they should get because their gifts are normally so expensive.

We don't exchange gifts in the office. This is my thinking about giving my boss a gift .. she knows how much less I make than her. So why would I take my hard earned money and spend it on a gift for someone that can't even bother to say good morning to me when she goes by my cubicle? Yes, I am bitter - lol Why don't you make some holiday bread, cookies, or candy to share amongst all of your coworkers?

The outlet mall in Smithfield, NC is crazy. But while they extend their sales into the day on friday, the best stuff is already gone by then. Banana Republic offers an extra 40% off the entire store - so if you want clearance merchandise - you have to get their early for the best selection. Same thing with Yankee Candle (they only let 10 people in the store at a time due to fire code). Some of the stores have actually started opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving night to try and control some of the craziness. But it is fun!

Ulta... anyone know if they have a Black Friday ad?
AndreaInNC replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2010
Their doorbusters go fast! Normally they are gone at my store by 10am. -
we've had ours for about a year now - love it! No problem with the seams. We bought them way before they were mass distributed. Wonder if that makes a difference in the quality?

ugh .. the front of the CVS flyers says "get $10 worth of coupons when you scan your ECB card". So what did I get? A $10 off coupon for the 13# TV ..
-
Yes - now is a good time to buy ice pops @ CVS! Our marching band goes through about 800 ice pops in ONE WEEK! I've been checking the expiration date on them, and most of them show good through 2012.

TY!

Toy Story DVD set/Pacific DVD

read this review about the box set with all 3 movies -
I did the IronMan dvd deal. It was a huge nightmare. Thank goodness the cashier was very patient. Apparently there is a coupon that is suppose to print, but mine never did. Even though I bought my $25 P&G, nothing reflected on my receipt. But the cashier did some kind of override to take the $15 off the dvd. No toothbrushes - but got my raincheck!
-
well after looking at my P&G coupons that expire today - I'm going to try and do the Iron Man deal. My kids will just have to live with the regular DVD. lol
-
I'd do the Ironman deal if they offered it on BluRay - we don't buy regular DVDs anymore.
-
If you get the limit 2 toothbrushes - have them ring them up separately or you will end up with a $20 ECB! Which for me can be hard to use at one time! Same thing with a raincheck - have them put it on 2 rainchecks.

Target a few years ago when they decided not to PM on Black Friday only. Would have been nice if they would have let people know that - but they didn't. I had all my ads lined up and when the manager said no PMing - I just left all my stuff on the belt and walked out - headed over to TRU and got everything there.

long story short, you spend the Kohls cash, when you return the item(s) you purchased and earned the Kohls cash with they will check to see if you used any of the Kohls cash you had earned. If you did, they will price adjust down the item and refund to your credit card. Or if you want the full price of the item, they will give you a merchandise credit.
