Eve .. so sorry to hear you sound so sad! I hope things get better for you! I'd volunteer to help - but I"d probably screw it up.

IKEA all the way for the kids furniture. They have some pretty neat kids rooms! You can get some nice stuff pretty cheap for adult bedrooms too. Just depends on how much you want to spend and if you want low price or high quality.

Yipee!!!!! It's the 2nd link. Thank you so much. This is such an easy craft project and is great for the classroom since it's not Christmasy - but more winter themed!

I have the cutest snowflake ornament that someone gave me that I cannot find the pattern for so I can share it. It's made with the plastic needlepoint sheets and it hold a school size photo (one of the small ones you can share). It's two pieces that you can put together and the pic is in the middle - and the when put together it looks like a snowflake. Anyone know what I am talking about and can share the directions?

ugh .. so much for my very special customer 20% off coupon! It wasn't good for anything already on sale .. so off my $55 purchase a whopping 80 cents was taking off my total. I was ticked! I would have used one of my $5 off $20 coupons instead!

lol - I just put up 12 quarts and 12 pints of homemake green tomato relish. Guess what my friends and family are getting this year?

I am so wishing they would make a low sugar condensed milk !!

I know that Walmart will still PM on Black Friday - but they are very careful. Like if Store X is running a sale from 5am til 10am and you are at a 24 hour Walmart - they will not PM until 5am on the dot.

hhmmm .. I got a take 20% off my entire purchase coupon in the mail that is good 2 days this week. That would drop the price almost another $20.00. anyone know if this is worth the price or is it a piece of junk?
-
Oh I hope so too.

any deals on ALLYOU magazine?
AndreaInNC replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
It used to be called Southern Living at Home, but now it's called WillowTree. The current catalog shows 18 issues for $20 and they might have a promo going on not in the catalog. http://www.willowhouse.com/ You can click on the "find a consultant" link. They do not charge you shipping for magazines. -
Tax Free Shopping - great for Back to School (tip)
AndreaInNC replied to noehlp's topic in Offline Hot Deals
In NC, our state said that they would lose more than 12 MILLION dollars in revenue as well during tax free weekend - BUT - they knew that the stores needed the revenue and so to support the economy, they went ahead and did it. Here were our limits - Clothing, footwear, and school supplies of $100 or less per item; school instructional materials of $300 or less per item; sports and recreation equipment of $50 or less per item, computers of $3,500 or less per item; and computer supplies of $250 or less per item. Now what is funny as that if you have to return something - there is no key to not return the sales tax. I bought some clothes last year and I had to return them, and I ended up getting back more money than I spent - lol -
and I knew that I could get a raincheck .. so I stopped on my way home last night. Got my raincheck, they'll get more in on Friday
-
yeah - they changed last year. The raincheck forms have a code on them now that corresponds with the promo. When you redeem the raincheck, they have to key something into the register that makes the ECBs print. I always make sure I get a raincheck for those free after ECBs items if they aren't in stock!
-
It's been my experience with CVS, they don't really do exchanges - but you can return it and get your money back. If your store doesn't have the color in the ad - get a raincheck. You can get the correct ones when they come back in stock.
-
I have a bag of personal care items to donate for when stuff is free or nearly free after ECBs. It is getting really full!
-
This week the Sense & Spray along with the Lasting Impressions are $5 - there were $3 off coupons in Sunday's paper. Spend $10 get $3ECB, but with the coupons, you're only spending $4 to get back $3. That's a good deal. And Listerine Total Care is $2.99 with $2 ECB, $1 coupons in last weeks paper making it 99 cents after ECB. And Blink Tears are free after ECBs again this week!
