shopping mom

This is the first year I bought anything online. I ordered from Pennys E-Bay, and Silverstreet. I have gotten all my orders and am thinking hmmm how much more could I shop if I could save more gas money. I am really a brick and morter shopper though

I knew I should have checked this site earlier today. Any chance on this being the same price on Monday?

When I was around 7 we traveled from NY to my grandparents house in VA. We got there rather late on Christmas Eve. When we got out of the car i heard jingle bells, saw a flashing red light in the sky ,and just knew I was going to miss Santa if I did not get in bed. After that I believed for a long time.

I went in there today and they had good deals on their Christmas mechandise. They had village pieces that lit. They were 7" high. One item rings up at $2.80. The four piece set would have been around $5 if I am remembering correctly.

I know what you mean. My 15 year old did not ask for a lot this year and I really wanted to get him a few more things. He mentioned about a week ago that he want a game for PS2. BB was out and so was TRU. I finally found one at CC and it was the last one out. I was happy; he will be thrilled.

The only credit card I use is Kohl's and that is only for the extra 15% off and then I immediately pay it. If I need extra cash I pull out the recipes that are really cheap to make and save on the groceries.

One at a time. One person opens a gift, shows it to everyone, and can spend time looking at it, before it is put in a designated spot. Then it is the next persons turn. We will have About 18 people this year so it is an all day thing.

Do they give a price on the diamond earrings and various cts. My daughter graduates in June and I would like to get her a pair at at a good price. Any GBA's, our those game tins

I see those games everywhere, TRU, BB, Sears, KB. I wonder if there has been more of a demand for them in your area.

My kids have always appreciated new clothing. There have been many years when they have made do with thrift stores, yard sales and hand-me-downs, so Christmas was when they got something brand new. They are quick to let me know what they need around the holidays. I watch for bargins but if it is something I know they want I'll get it. Son number two is getting a leather jacket. I can't wait. He has wanted one for two years.

Dove soft solid works best for me, but my daughter prefers Secret.

This year they are in a few different places. My parents attic and their shed, my husbands work place ( he works for his dad and they have a warehouse for cabinets) and a few things in my closet.

I don't do a lot for birthdays so I try to do more at Christmas. It is sometimes hard to figure because the clothes I buy all year at great prices. If you don't count the clothes I spend about 200 per child or less. I don't have to worry though we have three sets of grandparents and that is always interesting. My mom went shopping again today and bought the 2 year old a set of twin dolls. I think she will need a bigger room.

Just for the fun of it what did you get the others in your family?? Are these the only family members you shop for?

That purse is really cute!! I am now arguing with myself about whether to get it or not.

Could you talk to my sons? I do not expect them to spend that much but it would be nice if they knew what I liked and wanted.

There are some great ideas already posted. You could also restock him on pens, pencils, markers, a stapler, and scissors. A good book and a book light. When my kids were 10 they could stay up and extra 15 minutes in their bed if they were reading.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and we have gotten her Little Tikes kitchen Dora Tree House (its a really big tent thing) Dora doll Dora's Talking Backpack Mega Blocks Play-doh My Little Kitty Boombox 1cd and some tapes Doodle Bear Books for her Leap pad Dora bath set xylophone There was a lot of other stuff I wanted to get her and some of this is from grandparents. I have put some things away for her birthday in March. I have a bike and a light bright I know. You know her likes; if she really likes to draw and color I would go with that theme. A desk, any write on wipe off books, paints, an easel, a chalk board. I think she will be happy with what ever you get her so have fun!!

U sually we do the IL on Christmas Eve and the one present for each kid especially from their daddy. Christmas morning we use to go really early (after stockings) for breakfast at my grandmothers house and then come home and open presents. Grandma passed away in April, and Christmas is on a Sunday. This year we are opening everything on Monday, everyone is off work and available so I would rather have the family all together than stick to the calander. It will last all day because we do one gift at a time.

I do not shop K-Mart either. Once I waited in the Sports dept. for 30 minutes and never got helped, bad service, lack of mechandise, and so so prices. Target is alot better!!

I still need to do some stockings stuff, but considering I am doing 13 stockings this year I am think I am doing pretty well. ( I do them for our parents and this year his mom and step dad will be here too so that is another set besides our six kids. Plus his step brother is coming and I did not want him to be the only person to not get a stocking, so I just added him too.) I also need to get a PS2 game for my 15 year old and I want to get his birthday shopping done this week too.( I am going to use the 10% off at BB I got in the mail). I got my oldest son a drill and I need to check to see if I should get drill bits, and get one gift for my FIL, and then do a lot of wrapping!!
