Looking for mp3 and/or ipod deal
shopping mom replied to Cru's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I am hoping to get two of the Sansa Fuze on BF. The reviews I read were good. -
I am wondering the same thing. This is a major stop for me:yup: and if I buy gift cards first then use them on the other purchases it will basically save me a little more money. If the ad does not show any restrictions on the gift cards I am going to try it.

I really like the second set

How many people are on your list??? Who are they???
shopping mom replied to jarerice's topic in 2008
How about a nice travel mug and a starbucks gift card. -
I emailed them to ask if the deals will be online. We do not have one near us, so it will be interesting to hear what they say.

I love doing stockings and try to make them different each year. Since a few of mine are married now I am giving the married couples combined stockings. One set is getting a breakfast themed one (everything from bisquick, to coffee) and the other set is getting a movie themed one (Cheap dvds, popcorn soda etc and a pizza certificate) My DD21 has recently started a junior church at our church. I just ordered her a bunch of bible song visuals, and a few story visuals. The probably wont fit in the stocking so I will hook the stocking to a gift bag. I also want to get her some Gain detergent. She loves the smell but it is too expensive to buy regularly. DS17 will get an mp3 player, some video games, and a few other things. DD5 has one of those huge stockings so I am trying to find larger items to fill it that are not expensive.

HOT! Dell 19" LCD Monitor $125 Shipped / 22" for $177 Shipped
shopping mom replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Thanks Brad!! My boss's monitor went out and she told me to find her a new one. She is very happy with the monitor and the price. -
In my side of the family I give to all my kids and the spouses and any SO if they come to our house. The kids and spouses have a choice of drawing names or opting out if finances are to tight. The spending limit is $25-35 per name. On DH's side (DH doesn't do Christmas but I still go to the inlaws) I draw names with his mom, stepdad and imediate family They usuall buy for the kids. I exchange gifts with his Dad and stepmom and they get for all the kids. The kids are older and some married now so I look for some things to change within the next few years.

My DS17 will be 18 on 12/27. We have done a big gift to incorporate both before. His grandparents are good about separating the two events. There have been a few times he has felt his birthday was an after thought but I have tried to make it up to him.

From what I have read on the Girl gourmet (the cupcake maker) it is a good product. They say the cupcakes taste really good. My DD wants one too but I may save this idea for her BD in March unless one of the grandmas want to get it. We have an easy bake and she loves it.

The only thing I see on my list that is not on sale somewhere else is the Transformers on blu-ray. I will probably try to price match it somewhere else.

>>> Official Black Friday 2008 DIGITAL CAMERA Discussion Thread <<<
shopping mom replied to Brad's topic in 2008
DIL wants a digital camera. Does anyone here have the Casio EX-Z9 shown in the Radio Shack list for BF? It looks like there is a free printer with rebate. I read reviews at Amazon.com. Just wanted some opinions here. I have also thought about the Kodak one at Sears. -
My mom and dad got theirs yesterday, so mine should be here soon.

So far this is my favorite ad. Someone in my group will be there. I have never been there for doorbusters before. Can someone recommend a time to line up??

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008
shopping mom replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I stopped this morning on my way to work and found a Madden football 09 game for the DS for less than $8.00. New Chesapeake, VA store if anybody wants the other one. -
My brother and one ds want a wireless xbox 360 controller too. My oldest DS has a Wii and wants more controllers so this would be a good deal for me I think.
-
The front page says buy any video game accessory and get one 1/2 off do you think this would include the Wii remotes, nunchucks and classic controllers?

Stocking stuffers under $1?
shopping mom replied to xoxodashmax's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Sometimes I have good found deals through Avon. -
Yes, I saw Barrel of Monkeys the other day at TRU

I have done board games before for cousins familys, I have also given them croquet one year (that was a favorite) With the age range, and including the adults and more than four players, I would look at games such as Toss Across, Dominoes(sp??), or Rebound. I am thinking of doing some card games this year (uno crazy eight, go fish, old maid, regular deck( the dollar tree has all of these except uno), maybe a mug for each person, some microwave popcorn, and some hot chocolate.
-
Thats great!!! I hope I get mine soon too. I love to use it on BF
-
I agree with PP go with the Madden Package. If it is in the budget you can get some movies for it on Black Friday usually, or some more games. If he likes music, and doesn't have one you might want to consider some sort of MP3 player.

what clothing brand do you buy for your kids?
shopping mom replied to nelly's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I don't always get DD5's clothes from Sears, but I do like their kidvantage. If something gets messed up they replace the same size and style or similar for free. I also like to get her clothes from Landsend. For some reason they hold up very well. I am constantly checking their clearance page to see if I can get something. -
Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

My DD5 got her Easy Bake when she graduated from K5. She uses it about once a week. DH or I supervise but she knows pretty much what to do now. We do not buy the mixes made for the oven. We use the Jiffy mixes or the Betty Crocker (pouch) muffins/brownies. She made brownies for her granddaddy's birthday and he loved them. I have been looking at that cupcake maker/decorater thing. I would consider buying it if I knew regular mixes would work.
