The rebate may be due to the manufacturer. Maybe they offered rebates of $20 in Nov and now $30 in Dec? Could you return the soap dispenser?

I didn't know that about AE. I guess I always return to the store. I wish that more merchants offered the free return shipping, but I'm sure that it is built into the price of the item.

You are very lucky! Old Navy and Justice are so slow, and Justice charges way too much for shipping. I always allow at least 2 weeks for Old Navy, buy.com, and several others. Sephora ships very quickly. I always laugh at my shipping notification from overstock. By the time they send me the notification, the item has been delivered. I am way too spoiled with amazon, and my credit card reflects it!

Very few places include a prepaid return label--I can only think of Zappos and Sephora right now. If the merchant also has a B&M store, that is when I try to return. I don't know how big an item that you have to return, but would you still come out ahead if you pay to return it?

I feel the same way. Amazon prime is incredible and amazon notifies upon shipping. I am still waiting on a QVC TSV from before Thanksgiving to arrive. I also don't understand how it takes merchants a week to process an order for items that are in-stock. I guess we are spoiled with Prime!

OK, they are now offering the pink at the sale price with the rebate!! The pink can be found using a different link which I included in the first post. I REALLY want the pink. My DD just informed me to paint the mixer that I have pink. :) The pink is so cute.

Ha ha! I believe you. You know that with amazon, there can be changes every minute. I should re-check and see if any other colors have opened up. I got a nickel pearl mixer last year.

Thank you for the update. I will edit my post. I think that your DW will love the black mixer. It will go with anything in the kitchen. Your DW should love this gift! ETA: Looks like gloss cinnamon price must have changed b/c it is $269.99 before the rebate. White and onyx black look like the only choices for now.

Yes, that's why I took the time to call AG yesterday and tell them about Deb's situation. AG normally goes far beyond what I am asking for to correct a problem and most of the time do it without me even asking. I just didn't want them to get a bad reputation when 99% of the time they have excellent service. I am so glad that it all worked out for Deb b/c she willing to give them one more try. :)

I caved. Sigh. I HAD a $100 gift card that I hadn't used. I got a Dept 56 building and the bracelet for 25% with free shipping. Only about $20 out of pocket. Thanks for enabling me. :)

It makes me wonder if that other person that you talked to even spoke with her supervisor. I bet that she was having a bad day and took it out on you. Our TJ Maxx had a huge display of the flameless candles. I bet that Ross and Marshall's will have them as well b/c they are so popular. Have you tried Target and Walmart?
