This thread is kinda funny. Anyway, I've got you all beat on crappy gifts this year. My BIL and his gf (who have never even bought for my 3 kids in the past although I ALWAYS get their 3 kids something) gave my kids all a shirt this year for Christmas. They didn't have any tags on them but 2 of them did have something a little *special* about them. One had a stain and the other had a hole in it. Yes, they gave them all used clothing. The thing is, he has a job, makes decent money so they could have spent $5 a peice on them and my kids would've never known the difference but they can tell if a shirt has come from a yard sale or a store. Don't get me wrong, I love yard sales (I have 2 every year ) but I would never give someone used clothing for Christmas.

I never give gift reciepts. I have no reason really. I just don't think about it. If you are just wanting to do an exchange do you still have to have a reciept at TRU?

I had to go look and see what the set looks like. I actually think it might be cuter with just a solid color (red IMO ) bedskirt. Just keep your eyes out for the clearance isles. With spring coming up all of the bold fall/winter colors will be put away. I checked on eBay for a red twin but the cheapest price there would still put you at almost $20 shipped.

My 5 yr old also got a BB gun (with a scope, lol) for Christmas. He wanted to shoot dh's aunt's ducks in her pond. We told him that if he wanted to keep his bb gun (and his life ) he probably shouldn't do that. They're gonna go look for some rabbits tomorrow.

Well kinda, last night as we were putting the stockings up I just stuck my hand in all of them to make sure Saydee hadn't stuck anymore play food in any of them (she's been doing this since I put them out ) and I found a tube of chapstick in the dog's stocking. It was wrapped in the wrapping paper that I used for Saydee LAST YEAR! So it's been sitting in there for a year and we never noticed it.

My tree is still in the living room with the lights on it. Everything else has been put away.

I haven't gotten one yet. Anything good in it?

We got ours at Lowes. They had a huge clearance section.

In the past we've bought from Oriental Trading, Rhode Island Novelty, and USA Toys.

We also have a Serta and it doesn't sag but it squeaks (and no, not just at certain unavoidable times ). I mean all the time. When you roll over, sit down, anything. It's the loudest bed I've ever heard in my life.

Yep, my grandparents got hayden one of those little toy laptops and the screen doesn't work. It won't come on at all.

My 3 yo got one for Christmas and has already taken over 100 photos. I haven't uploaded any of the photos yet either.

Ours really wasn't too bad. In years past we have loaded up the kids and driven either an hour or 2 to one of my grandparents houses. Not this year. We decided we weren't going to leave town anymore on Christmas day. We went to 4 different places on Christmas Day but they were all within 6 miles of each other and spread out throughout the day. It was good.

Yep. Jamie got me the crocs that I wanted, a yankee Christmas Cookie candle, and a really nice sweater (that he picked out all by himself and I actually like it, lol). The kids got me some new speakers for the computer and some fuzzy slippers. My parents got me a potholder with some cash in it and the inlaws got me a new leather chair for the computer desk. I also got 2 new spatulas and a purse from my sister. :)
