Sooooo, what's the good word from the doc?

Before I say anything, I have to give my spiel about I am not a medical professional and anything I say should not be taken as medical advice. I am glad that you are going to discuss this with you doctor, please follow their advice as they know your case. Having said that....take a deep breath and relax. Almost all of us, especially in a northern climate, are all low on vitamin D. You can take a supplement, but you must be careful and do it under a doctor's care because too much vitamin D can cause nasty problems like kidney stones. (And I have seen people come into the ER with vitamin D kidney stones and they were under a doctor's care....so be careful, everyone's body is different. Doctors can be taken off guard about what dose you need.) The best way to get vitamin D is sunshine. Go out and take a walk or work in the garden or just sit in a sunny spot. 10 - 15 minutes a day a couple of times a week will do the trick. Some foods like salmon and tuna are also good sources of vitamin D. Good luck!

Feel free to send some of it up here to Michigan. We're already in a mild drought. (and I haven't even begun to plant yet!)

Yeah...what a shame. Been telling my mother for two weeks now that it is not good that the trees are budding 2-3 weeks early, we could loose our fruit crops. But she is just so happy to see everything alive again.... Good luck with your peaches....hopefully some will make it.

Conversation with mom that took place 15 minutes ago. Mom complaning: There's nothing on tv to watch! I can't find anything interesting! Me: I know. It's Sunday. There is nothing you like on on Sunday. How about I put in a video? Mom: YEAH! Me: How about Easter Parade? Mom: No, I want to watch White Christmas!

Not being Jewish (I am a Lutheran pastor) I don't know that it is appropriate to say anything with any authority to your situation....but I am (as all preacher's are) willing to give my two cents/shekals worth.

Congrats! I didn't know how popular Animal Crossing was until I bought a copy for the game console on our pediatrics unit at my hospital. Man that thing was stolen faster than the Mario games! Enjoy the games! They were hard won!

Thank you, thank you! Unfortunately, it came out so well that mom's caregiver wants to make one for each of her three adult children! I promised to help. I am now gonna be making eggs until Yom Kippur! BTW good shabbos! And for tomorrow evening...Chag Pesach Sameach Gator Pam! (boy this new tablet hates typing Hebrew....)

OK.....all done! 24 egg ornaments, 10 carrots, 12 German bunnies, grass....and plenty of Easter chocolate doodoo's that the bunnies pooped out.

Thank you both. Mom has been commenting on her tree all afternoon. Now that it is dark, they sparkle differently with the tree lights. Hey Bopeep! How about a Secret Easter Bunny exchange?!?! Mom's tree needs candy. (And she has been asking all afternoon too.) We really only need to ask 1 question.....Peeps or no peeps. (No Peeps for us thank you.)

It's a little early, but my "covid quarantine project while mom sitting" was to make Easter egg ornaments the last 5 weeks. I made mom an Easter egg tree. And I just put it up. I found some cute German Easter bunnies on EBay. They are wearing lederhosen.

Mom received her Christmas card from Jendeere yesterday! LOL! It was post marked Dec. 8th. It took less then 2 months to get to us! Which I guess is pretty good. 100 or so years ago it could take 6 months for a letter or card to reach the recepiant. So, all things considered, we feel lucky. Thanks Jendeere! Merry Christmas to you!

::sigh:: looks yummy Gator! ::staring at bowl of spaghetti-o's::

Hi Gator Pam. I have no idea how to read that blood work either. All I can suggest is to wait and see what your medical team says. Some times what looks bad is actually "expected" and your medical team will watch it but not be overly concerned. (For example, someone receiving treatment for TB will see their liver levels shoot up). Hopefully this will be the case for you, that they expected some of your blood work to change as you cut back on on your treatment. I will say the Mi Shebeirach for you tonight.

Happy New Year all!

Just want to send out another thank you to Stevierocks, mom's Secret Santa this year. While all the goodies you sent have long been eaten, (and enjoyed), now that the end of the year is approaching, mom has turned her attention to the kitten calendar you sent. She has decided that she wants it in her bedroom so she can see a cute kitten when she wakes up each day. (Mom has been wearing Christmas clothes all month so the shirt you sent will not be on her radar until the holidays are over.) Thank you again for your kind and thoughtful gifts. Mom has been very happy with everything!

I am glad your prank worked! Too bad you can't get the video uploaded...I am sure the look on his face was sheer shock! Maybe GatorPam can help you. She was pretty good about teaching us how to get photos posted this year.

You are very welcome! I am surprised, but glad to have gotten something new for your cricut. I know nothing about cricut, but I do craft and I know that good markers are always welcome when crafting. The card game is supposed to be the number 1 covid 19 family card game hit of the year. I hope you and your kids enjoy it. Merry Christmas!

Really nice pics Wittenlover! Your Secret Santa was very thoughtful! Glad your kitties found something the like too.

Awww! It was you Racerfan! Thank you so much for the books! Now tell me please, are these books favorites of yours, or are they good books you read this year that you wish others would read or .. ???? I'd love to know why you chose what you did. And before I forget, thanks again for co-ordinating everything Bopeep! You are awesome! [[[bopeep]]] Oops I forgot...no hugs due to social distancing! Sorry about that! At least I have a mask on though!

Yes! Merry Christmas everyone. May the holiday season bring the blessing of peace, love and joy to each of you.

Hang in there. My Macy's order arrived yesterday. They are coming. You could always wrap a gift with the picture or a copy or the order slip inside. People should be understanding that things are arriving slow due to the virus. (You can always remind them that, in the church, Christmas lasts 12 days and that you have until Epiphany, Jan 6th, to share your gifts.)
