So far this is what I’ve picked up: Laundry detergent Dishwasher detergent tablets Garage light. (I’m very excited about this one) Phone Soap 3 Scalp massager brush thingy Light bulbs I’m still pondering a steam mop.

Ok, so I got some hair spray, dental floss, hair goop, deodorant and cough drops because I have the crud. Thankful it’s just the crud and not the Covid crud. Fun times shipping on my lunch break.

I saw that little toy Instant Pot! It’s adorable.

I’ve not found anything to buy just yet but it’s hard to look in between having to work, If nothing else I will stock up on some Health&Beauty stuff.

I would email them. If it were me being one of the ones that usually participate but have yet to log in I would appreciate a “heads up”.

Original Atari system back in the 80’s. We asked for it but wasn’t expecting to find it under the tree. I knew my parents weren’t rich by any means and worked doubly hard to give us most of what we asked for every year. I’ll never forget opening that box up because I knew what sacrifices must have been made to buy it for us.

I totally agree with this! I use mine all the time.

I admit I struggle mightily this time of year with my Kohl’s card balance.

Happy October! The time of the year here where one day you need shorts and a tank top and the next a sweater and jeans. Which means double pacing for a weekend out of town......lol

I’m definitely there this year. I usually have a few things on my BF list and things I would like for my own Christmas gifts and family gifts and this year I have nothing on any list. Nada. Maybe it’s just the COVID funk.

Yes! It was that way at the bigger supercenter and at Sam’s here.

There are 2 Supercenters here and as of last week both entrances at both stores are open. Plus no more one-way aisles.

I honestly can’t think of a thing I want or need this year yet. I just ordered some “ladies underthings” from Kohl’s and Belk at prices that were quite comparable to their BF prices of last year and since my sizes were in stock just went for it. I needed a new purse and ordered one from Macy’s. Already ordered and received one of the infamous Kohl’s throws so there’s another usual BF purchase done. But knowing me I’ll need/want a few more of those by the time BF sales start. I refuse to buy a movie this year. I need some clothes but that’s hard to do online and I’m doing my best to stay home out of the public because I can’t afford to get the Rona and have to quarantine using up my PTO hours in the process. So, staying home means I don’t really need new clothes. Lol. I do want a new phone because my eyes are old and I need a bigger screen so I may do that and just call BF done with that.

Ugh. I’m not feeling the decorating yet this year at all. I usually have my entire house “falled up” in early September but as of now I have only a small Halloween section at the front door and no desire to drag out the fall stuff. 2020 has drained me physically (because healthcare worker) and emotionally (because the current state of the world) so not sure what I will do for Christmas decorating yet. I did loved seeing the Christmas trees out at Walmart the other day so hoping as they get more and more stuff out I’ll get in the mood. I guess I should go to Hobby Lobby again to get in the spirit.

I went to the bigger Supercenter here yesterday and saw trees and lights out too. Call me crazy but it put a pep in my step honeslty. I'm so in need of something to look forward to these days.

Honestly, I think the thing I'm going to miss most is going to Walmart for the cheap movies and the peope watching while standing in the movei area. Call me crazy! LOL I don't think we will get ads in the traditional sense so I'll miss pouring over them and making lists per store in my BF notebook I keep every year. As a family, we actually discussed taking a trip for Christmas in lieu on gifts so there may actually not be much gift shopping for me this year if we decide we can be safe enough.

Yay! Even though this year will be much different shopping wise it’s still fun to see all the BF threads pop up.

We had all that today, plus damaging tornadoes in parts of the state. More heavy rain to come tonight.

Happy start of the -ber months. It’s my favorite time of year. Christmas shopping will certainly be interesting and challenging this year. I went into Kohl’s a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked at how empty of merchandise the store was. I don’t know if it’s like that everywhere since I’ve kept my shopping to Walmart, Target and Kroger for essentials. It may be the year of the gift cards for me on the gift giving front. And, to the Kohl’s mention, I bought my first “Kohl’s throw” of the season last week. LOL. I got the baby Yoda one now instead of taking the chance that it will be around during their expected Black Friday sale for cheap. A new Kohl’s throw means we truly in the race towards Black Friday, however it will look this year. :)
