I love my Baby Yoda throw! It’s adorable. I paid more for it earlier (not quite full price though) earlier for fear hey would be out of stock by the time all the Black Friday sales rolled around. Lol

What will your kids give their teacher(s) this year?
HanShotFirst replied to kimpooh19's topic in 2020
I don’t have kids but along the same lines I do get a few of my coworkers a little something and this year I’m going to do Bath & Body Works holiday foaming soap and a PocketBac. I may get them a PocketBac holder and a small tube of hand lotion too depending on how many I decide to do. My hands are a wreck from the constant washing and sanitizing every time I change gloves at work. I love the sanitizing wipes idea too! I’m starting to see more in the stores these days but still have a limit of 1 per person. -
I saw an entire pallet of those containers at my store today.

I got off the site so I wouldn’t do that!

I don’t want anything from this event but I just tried to go the website to check things out and it seems to be down......not a good way to start. LOL Update: ok, so maybe not. I’m on now.

Oh man! I need to try that pie! I love making caramel out of sweetened condensed milk! I can (and have) eaten it straight out of the can! -
After being semi-quarantined for almost 2 week, I’m so ready to start some shopping so this is perfect timing. Already have some ideas! *Yeah, semi-quarantined because I was exposed to a positive and symptomatic for COVID co-worker two weeks ago tomorrow. Thanks to hospital administration There is not enough warm bodies to go around for all of us that worked that day to be quarantined so we had to work. So on my weekends I’ve stayed in the house except for one big grocery pickup from Walmart.

I ended up getting myself a new holiday print one even though I said I wasn’t going to. Lol. I got the snowman one where some of the snowmen are sitting in cups of hot cocoa. It’s cuter than I thought it would be from the online photo.

A few years ago my mother asked my sister and I if we wanted her to stop with the stockings........I think in lord unison, we both said “NO, absolutely not”! LOL. I am 50 years old this year!

Well I just looked through all 144 pages of the scan. Holy Moly. Anyway, there are several small kitchen appliances I’m going to consider and research. How exciting! I love new small kitchen gadgets and gizmos.

Not as into it this year - anyone else feel this?
HanShotFirst replied to stevierocks's topic in 2020
I literally just drug out one of my pencil trees from the closet to put up today. It has its own spot so no furniture rearranging or the like and won’t be in the way. Bring on Christmas I say. Plus I need something new in my living room to look while I’m staying in. -
What's something you buy or rebuy every Black Friday?
HanShotFirst replied to kimpooh19's topic in 2020
Well, living life without a Kohl’s throw (or 6) is pretty wrong. :) *just kidding of course. They really are great though. Going to pick up 3 today that I ordered already. -
Target announces "shopping reservations" in case of long lines
HanShotFirst replied to Brad's topic in 2020
I’ve slowly ventured out beyond grocery shopping to Hobby Lobby and Michael’s several times over the last several weeks. I can honestly say I feel safest in my Target stores still. There are visible signs throughout the store that they are cleaning and/or disinfecting shelves and buggies regularly. There is always a team member at the entrance directing you to the sanitized buggies so you don’t have to guess. No signs of any buggy cleaning at any of my Walmart stores or Kroger stores. Not to say it isn’t happening but I sure do like seeing it done. Target has gotten most of my usual Walmart business for household items and even some groceries since the beginning of this stupid pandemic and hopefully will get a good amount of my money during the holiday season. Anxiously awaiting an ad or ads from them. -
No holidays for me in the world of healthcare.....however, Friday is a normal day off for me and I’ve been fortunate enough to not be scheduled to work Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday for the past several years. This is such a weird and awful year for healthcare workers that I have no hopes for this year as far as being off on any of the big 3 holidays. Time will tell once our schedule gets posted for that block of time.

Is anyone else getting anxiety waiting for the ads to be released?
HanShotFirst replied to vern28's topic in 2020
I look several times a day for anything to help get me excited. The Walmart ads had the potential but so far nothing in them or the Sam’s ad interests me..... -

Kohls’s throws for sure. I almost always buy myself one and buy extra to put in my gifts for our Senior Tree program. I already bought myself one (Baby Yoda) for fear I wouldn’t find it in stock during the BF sale. I’m not sure we will have the Senior Tree tags this year due to the ongoing COVID mess so still undecided about buying extra. Hopefully we will know something before the sale. I also always buy bras from Kohl’s. (Sorry guys for the TMI . ) Movies and TV seasons are also always on my list. -
Me either!

When do you plan to start decorating for the holidays this year?
HanShotFirst replied to Brad's topic in 2020
I have t put any fall decor out yet so I think I will just skip that and go directly to Christmas. Maybe next weekend I’ll put one of my smaller trees up. -
Hmmmmm. I’m anxious to see how well the associates will manage the crowds. I mean I know what the press release says but we all know folks be crazy at Walmart. If there is anything I want or need in the ad(s), I will try the online route.
