Congratulations to Kendall!!

Happy February! We are experiencing our annual "false spring/summer" with record highs for this week before Mother Nature calms down and brings in the cold again next week. After being on medical leave late summer, then at the end of said medical leave I find out that my company eliminated their local operations where I was working, I finally found a job and start in a couple of weeks, just in time for me to come down with this nasty respiratory illness that over half the state is sick from. Yay me.........

I'm tired of adulting.

I was the same way until I put my big girl panties on tried a piece at The Cheesecake Factory. I don’t eat it from anywhere else.

My god this is my favorite cheesecake on the planet and I don’t. Even really like cheesecake. I’m still sad over the Cheesecake Factory closing in Memphis.

Good lord have mercy! I can’t choose but if i had an opportunity to pick a slice to eat my tastebuds would lead me to the peanut butter one or the cookies and cream. However I do love a good lemon dessert too.

Aside from my “new hire” Zoom meeting at my most recent job , the only other time I actually laid eyes on my HR people person was when she swooped in one night to lay all 20 of us in the TN facility off, back in September.

Finally on the backend of Snowpocalypse 2025 here in Tennessee. We ended up with about 7 inches of it yesterday. Beautiful while it lasted though.

So does my sister. And as of this year, she and the entire university is losing their WFH options.

Frigid weather here (for the South) and predicted measurable snowfall on Friday. The grocery stores are already packed. I have enough trouble finding milk on a normal day so I can’t imagine what Thursday will bring. I’ll be buying some tomorrow for sure.

Am I the only one that gets a bit sad to see the holiday lights disappear from the GottaDeal banner every year?

I have rekindled my childhood love for Legos this holiday season while I’ve been unemployed and unsuccessful so far at finding new employment. A couple of weeks ago Target had some of the smaller kits on a good sale and I bought four of them. Now I have 2 vases of flowers that won’t die on me…….roses, daffodils, sunflowers and lotus flowers.

Those socks!

Merry Christmas to my GottaDeal family!

Happy Birthday to me and thank a million to my SS! I saved my gifts to open today for my birthday and I absolutely love everything I got. The garden flag is beautiful. All the purple pens and journal made my nerdy heart sing! LOL! The popcorn will be eaten today as my birthday treat! Thank you to my SS so much. Merry Christmas !

I’ve tried hard these last few weeks to not order from anywhere that I know uses USPS for delivery because our mail service is horrible……from our carrier all the way to the sorting facility. I like to say that the big sorting facility is the black hole of USPS here, where packages go to die. I haven’t fully succeeded in not having USPS deliver a package but it was rare, thankfully.

Happy to say I am finally finished Christmas shopping. Our tree is up but no ornaments. Life has been crazy lately so It may stay that way too.

It’s pretty easy but I went to the Apple Store my first time too. They were very helpful. The account will be your Apple ID. If you have set that up be sure and have that info with you. If you haven’t they will help you. If you set it up there with them be sure to make a note of the info. I can’t say whether they charge for it because it’s been years since I went in.

I do believe that my Secret Santa package(s) arrived the other day. I was out of town but my sister was home to retrieve them from the front porch. I’m going to wait to open until my birthday in a few days.

Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry to see this. Sending prayers to you and your family for a full recovery for your mom!

We will have to learn to write 2025 before we can turn around!
