Happy to see the Lowe’s deal at Dollar General again this year. I usually pick up one or two to use throughout the year.

I’ll probably drop by for a Lowe’s gift card or two.

It took me about 15 minutes yesterday to decide I didn’t need anything bad enough to scroll through all that mess.

Still too warm here. While I’m not getting the tornadoes like Bopeep we are getting humid, stormy weather with much needed rain. Can’t complain about the rain but the warmer temps need to go away.

If I were still living by myself in my house, I would have put up my tree and all my decorations this weekend. You won't be sorry if you decide to go on and put your tree up this weekend.

I'm so very sorry you have been through so much this year. I know how you feel to an extent. In May, I was hospitalized with suspected sepsis, ended up with critically low potassium levels so was in-house for 4 days receiving IV antibiotics and IV potassium. Doctors never could figure out the cause. All was well for 2 months and then at the end of July I took ill again with a severe headache with stabbing pain in my left temple and eventual vision loss in one eye. Again, I was admitted to the hospital and had multiple MRI's and CT scans. The "migraine cocktail" the ER gave me helped the headache but not the vision. Had neurology consult and he diagnosed me with optic neuritis and nerve palsy of the eye that had no vision. I was eventually discharged but ended up having a lumbar puncture to test for Multiple Sclerosis and a temporal artery biopsy to test for giant cell arteritis. Both were negative. That was the good news, but the bad news is that neither the neurologist nor the neuro-ophthalmologist I was referred to have a name for what happened to me other than an "unnamed inflammatory event". I was re-admitted to the hospital to start an intensive IV steroid treatment to attempt to restore my vision and preserve the other eye's vision. So, I spent another 4 days in house for that. After I was discharged, I spent 7 weeks on a tapering dose of Prednisone. During all of this I was obviously on medical leave from my job and near the end of my leave I learned my employer decided to shut down the lab I worked in completely so while I am on medical leave, I lose my job. I can't make this stuff up. The newest battle I'm facing now is a pulmonary embolism, for which I am taking blood thinners. You are definitely not alone with your health struggles this year. I will pray for you and that you make a full recovery and that you are able to go home sooner rather than later.

still unseasonably warm here, still having health issues and still unemployed. Boy do I ever sound like a broken record this year. On the flip side, I'm really Looking forward to shopping for my Secret Santa!

I have nothing on any list and am clueless. Funds will be tight as I’ve been on medical leave.

Finally some normalcy in my life! I’ve had a very rough summer and the string of bad luck continues so I’m so ready for this!

It is still blazing hot in TN and I’m sick of it.

I love Trader Joe’s and Aldi for snacks if you have one or the both nearby. My favorite are the pink and white yogurt covered butter cookies at TJ’s. Aldi also has seasonal flavored pretzels. Now is pu pain spice and caramel apple. I have bags of each flavor but haven’t tried them yet.

I would actually love to be gifted a personalized notebook. I'm old school still and love to have paper in hand, whether shopping lists or just business needs for life things. I agree with @Bopeep about QVC items. They make great gifts to split up, especially those Lock & Lock containers she noted. I have to stay away from that channel when Lock & Lock is airing because I want it all. LOL

She is just the coolest! I always love watching the luge during the Winter Olympics!
