    DVD/CD lists?

I see a lot of stores post in their ad that there are 100s of title on sale for CDs/DVDs and only show a few in the actual ad. Is there a way to find out what exactly is going to be on sale or is it a "wait til the last second and keep your fingers crossed that what you're looking for is on sale" type of a deal?
  2. Nothing that I want is on their list. I hope that they'll have other deals and sales on DVDs/CDs that aren't listed.
  3. I'm just sick of all the BOGO 1/2 off deals. Rarely, if ever do I need 2 of something. No way am I going to buy double just so that I can get one of them on sale. Just put the actual item on sale!
  4. Well I'm waiting to see if Amazon has any good deals leading up to BF next week. If they discount my wanted items enough, I may only be heading to a couple of stores (TRU, Gymboree) after the rush has died down a bit.
  5. I don't have a bluray either. We have an old TV so there's no need for it. There are only a few small things that I'm going out for on BF. $7 cash register at TRU, duplos and possibly the discovery cardboard rocket at Walmart, DVD series at Best Buy (probably do that online) and I'll head by Gymboree to pick up some clothes for my kids. I've got 3 other big toy gifts that I'm still waiting to go down in price online. I'm praying that there's a good cyber monday deal. Even a small percentage off would make me happy at this point!
  6. Last year we got a "goody bag" that was basically a coupon book. And you couldn't use any of the coupons until after that weekend. So basically worthless.

    ad okay

I don't think I'll be standing in line anywhere this year. Nothing in that ad is worth waiting in line. Looks like I'll go later on and pick up a few things if they're still available. Or I may end up doing most of my shopping on line this year.
  8. Our TRU must be pretty tame. I got in line 2 hours prior to opening last year and was around 50th in line.
  9. I'm still holding out for TRU. I'm mostly in the market for toys so I'm hoping something from my list will be in their ad. I don't think the other ads were disappointing or anything, just nothing I'm looking for was on sale at those stores. I'll still drop by those stores on BF, but definitely won't be waiting in line for hours.
  10. I see a few potential items worth standing in line for. However, it looks like The Big Bang Theory DVDs are in the $13 category? I can get them at Costco right now for that price. I'm hoping that's just for the latest season.
  11. Underwhelmed but that's probably because I'm not in the market for electronics. The majority of my list consists of toys so I'm holding out for TRU.
  12. Hmmm, that's interesting. I'm very tempted...
  13. I'm going to wear out my mouse refreshing this site in anticipation of the full ad release.
  14. Looks like Target is opening at 9 as well.
  15. This thread has inspired me to start wrapping early. I usually wait til the last few days before and end up rushing and not enjoying myself. I like the hiding place ideas. I have 2 small children so no presents will be put out until Christmas eve.
  16. Not a thing so far. I'm mostly in the market for toys so I'm waiting (im)patiently for Toys R Us, Target and Walmart.
  17. No way I'm rushing through thanksgiving to make a 6pm sale time.
  18. What are you asking Santa for this year? I can't really think of anything to ask for, so what's on your list?
  19. I also doubt they'll do it on election night. However, it would be a nice distraction from all the political talk so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  20. Fudge is always a must. I recently discovered that I'm allergic to dairy so I'm going to try and make it this year with coconut milk. Hopefully it won't be terrible. I also love oreo "truffles:" pulverize a package of oreo cookies, mix with a package of cream cheese, form into balls and dip in melted white chocolate.
  21. I would say that almost all of my holiday online shopping is done through Amazon. I have never had a problem with them. And they ship rather quickly, even during the holidays.
