I'm going to get up early tomorrow and head over to TRU at 8am. Everything on my TRU list is available tomorrow except for 1 item which I will order online at midnight. Thursday, I will try to arrive at Walmart by 5. I'm only getting a few movies and a couple of small toys there so I don't feel the need to stand in line for hours ahead of time. Next will be the mall (opens at 8) where I have quite a few stops to make. Then I'll go home and sleep! I'll spend Friday putting up Christmas decorations and relaxing. Saturday morning, I'll be waiting outside Target when they open to get an extensive list of holiday items.

Got mine today! I'm a little embarrassed about how excited I was to get it. Probably because I never win anything. I will wear it proudly this week!

I've also heard a rumor that more special BF deal coupons will be added to Cartwheel on Wednesday.

There are a couple of things I wanted that will be available on Wednesday. One of the other items is eligible for free shipping with shoprunner so I may just order that online and head out to Walmart first instead.

It all depends on how quickly my turkey cooks this year. I always plan to eat around 2 but inevitably, we're still waiting for the turkey to finish cooking an hour or so later. If I can get dinner on the table on time for once, we should be done eating in time for me to get to TRU early enough.

I didn't vote for Target because I won't be going until Saturday for their holiday items sale.

I'm finally getting there. I've finished shopping for my older DD's birthday (celebrating the day after Black Friday) and the big gifts for both DDs have been ordered. Lists have been written/rewritten/finalized so now I'm just stalking items online to see when they drop in price. I'll be about 75% done after the big BF shopping trip.

I always do Starbucks gift cards as well. I've almost always seen my kid's teachers with a cup in their hand at some point so I know that they're coffee drinkers!

I think they start this the Monday prior to Black Friday.

This happened to me last year. I ordered a big art easel for a great deal and didn't notice until I was going over my credit card statement a month later that they had charged me $20 shipping. Apparently, it defaulted to 2 day shipping instead of free shipping. Ugh!

I usually end up returning a bunch of toys close to Christmas simply because I don't realize how much I have until I start wrapping. There's only so many toys that one household can manage.

Looks like it's going to be another TRU/Walmart BF for me this year!

Me, too. I'm mainly in the market for toys and so far, TRU is top of my list. However, I'm still holding out for a killer Walmart ad.

I'd be more than happy to let my daughter have a toilet brush for Christmas...as long as she was willing to use it for helping me clean. Not too odd but my 6 year old DD, for the 2nd year in a row, has asked for a tarantula. Still not going to happen.

I had to do a lot of research but apparently there's a Christmas carol called "Yellow Snow" on one of the twisted Christmas CDs. LOL!

Anyone know what kind of deals they have on BF? Do they put any of the newer items on sale or is usually just limited to older stock that they're trying to clear out? I really want to get their new gymnastics set but I don't know if I should go ahead and get it now while I can use the free shipping code or if I should hold out and hope for it to get discounted on BF?

I also hope this means the full ad will be out soon. Enough with the teasers! I'm trying to hold off on buying a lego set there until I see their BF prices.

Black Friday! I promised the girls that they could have their own smaller tree this year so I'm hoping to snag one on sale while I'm out shopping.

Planning on getting one for my 6 year old DD as well. Maybe I should get it sooner rather than later.

I'm pretty happy with TRU's ad (minus the start time) but I'm still impatiently waiting for the Target and Walmart ads!
