I need Walmart and TRU so I can start making plans!

I'm in the market for a small carpet cleaner so that caught my eye. This may be the year I get a new TV so I'll keep an eye out for the next round of ads so I can compare.

I'm not much of a Kohl's shopper but I got talked into buying one of their big one throws last year. Everyone in the house fights over it. This year I'm buying enough of those throws for everyone in the house to have their own in each room! Online though, no way am I fighting that crowd!

I always shop alone, BF or otherwise. I don't like waiting for other people or feeling rushed. I never get lonely standing in line because everyone seems to chat with everyone. Can't wait for this year!

I'm looking to get the Echo as well. I'm hoping Amazon does a special sale.

My 6 year old just informed me that she wants an (as in 1) encyclopedia. I tried to explain to her that the internet is an encyclopedia. I guess I could tell my father in law to bring her his set of world books from 1965.

I'm curious as to whether this includes doorbusters as well. I was able to buy some of their BF items on Wednesday before BF last year but nothing that was in high demand; not sure if it makes a difference or not.

So "word on the street" from a TRU employee (so just a rumor, take it for what you will) is that TRU is holding off releasing their ad because they feel Walmart stole their deals last year and ran them the week before BF last year.

Target and Walmart both have an item or 2 I might stop by and try to get but neither one is worth waiting in line for. I hope TRU has the items I need on sale.

This is one of the times that I'm glad I live on the west coast. Ads are usually leaked before I go to bed Come on Walmart!

I'd say about 1/3 to 1/2 of my shopping gets done on BF, if you include all of the online purchases I make during BF week. I start earlier in the month, especially if I have hard to find toys on my list to make sure I'm not out of luck come December.

Walmart Target Toys R Us Those are pretty much the only B&M places I shop on BF. And of course, those are the last ones to leak their ads.

For me, it's way easier to stay awake late into the night than get up early on friday morning. For that reason alone, I'm for the Thursday evening openings. I won't go any earlier than 8pm though. I'd also like to add that I get a real kick out of the people who say that they refuse to support stores that open on Thanksgiving because the employees should get to stay home with family, so instead they shop online on thursday. I hope you realize that in order for these big online sales to go smoothly, a lot more IT people are required to work on Thanksgiving. It doesn't just run automatically. No matter which way you shop, someone's got to work in order for that to happen.
