    My Twinn Doll

Yes, we bought my daughter one when she was younger. She even had the matching pair of glasses, like my DD. The daughter is off to college, but her twin sits on display in her room, so it is like a little frozen moment in time when I go in there. She loved that doll! We even bought her a cap and gown for graduation to decorate the table at her party. They are expensive, I agree, but it was worth it to us.
  3. Sounds like , doesn't it? I've never heard of a limit at Wal-Mart, and I KNOW mine usually total more than nine, and more and $29.....but I had a similar experience at the self-checkout at my Wal-Mart recently when buying the $2 ALL laundry detergent. I had 2 bottles and 2 $1 coupons...the self checkout kicked me over to the cashier, and when she came over she said I couldn't use both coupons. I pointed out that I had purchased 2 bottles of detergent. She said, "Well, we're still not supposed to, but I will this time." I just shrugged it off as "she must not know what she's talking about", but now I wonder what the deal is. My solution will be....to not use the self-checkout, I guess.
  4. Thanks! I got a shampoo and conditioner for $5 each, and the green tote....then I used this code and got a free Wallflowers Continuous Home Frangrance. Thought someone else may be interested!:) Code 5178 - Free Wallflowers with any $20 purchase. Expires on 10-15, according to this coupon.
  5. We don't do the whole family thing....but when we were first married, I bought a pair of men's Christmas boxers (with Christmas trees on them) and painted a t-shirt to match. I wore that every year for Christmas morning, until it didn't fit anymore....(damn shrinking thing! ). By then, my daughter was about 10, and she wanted to wear it, although it swallowed her up at the time. She's 20 now, and we still pull it out every year. The t-shirt is a little thread bare now, and we've had to touch the paint up from time to time, but she still wears it.
  6. MMMmmmmm Haven't had chocolate gravy in years. Love it! We always make sausage balls...usually DH gets them going while the kids are looking over their "take". We snack on those and save big food for mid-day.
  7. When my MIL was alive, I always regifted the gifts she gave (God forgive me). Usually had to be a gag gift for someone, though. Lord knows the only taste that woman ever had was in the roof of her mouth!
  8. We do, but this may be the last year. Youngest is a hs senior.
  9. DH DS DD Then DH does mine. Sometimes I do one for the dog, too.
  10. Okay...now I KNOW what I'm going to do this year. I was at the Old Navy clearance sale today and found really cool black and white graphic designed paper for $2.50 a roll (regularly $5). I"m going to wrap all the presents in that paper...and use bright jewel colored bows and ribbons on them. Whadda you think? Does it even sound cute? I tend to like the dramatic.
  11. I finally went in today, thinking that they would be picked over...but I found some really cool men's t-shirts for .97 each (got 4 of them)...and they have the coolest wrapping paper.....got 2 rolls of the black and white graphic designs....they are regularly $5 each or 2/$8. I got them for $2.50 each. I think I just found my Christmas wrapping theme!!!
  12. It's been awhile since we've had a toybox, but I loved Litttle Tikes. They had one that was shaped like a football and it was durable and you didn't have to worry about the lid closing on little fingers.
  13. We watch "A Christmas Story" on Christmas Eve and then we leave it on the channel (I think it's TBS) that plays it continuously for 24 hours. That way we wake up to it for gift opening, too. It's been our family tradition for years. I never get tired of that one. I also have to watch Home Alone and Christmas Vacation at least once during the holidays!!
  14. I usually do a theme, too....I've done the red and gold...and the blue and silver...and then last year I did jewel tones. I think I'm going to do the jewel tones again this year.
  15. I stand corrected:gdblush: ...but the compliment still stands:D
  16. Yep, most everyone thinks I'm nuts, except my DD, and she goes with me sometimes. Either you are a part of the BF club....or you're not...no middle ground, I guess!
  17. I worked BF 2 years ago....at Dillard's.....It was crazy! I will try real hard not to have to ever do that again!
  18. Dress in layers so you can shed them as the day gets warmer......and bring a thermos of coffee or hot chocolate to sip on while you wait!!
  19. I thought I was VERY OCD in this category...until I read all of your replies. Seems I'm normal. Here's my list: 1) Actual ads from Thursday's paper 2) Notebook listing in order all the places I want to go, with their respective lists of items I'm going after. 3) Debit card in back right hand pocket (so I don't have to dig through my purse to get to it) (I also put all my receipts from debit card purchases in my back left pocket to keep them all in one place.) 4) I also carry a separate wallet that has nothing but coupons (buy1-Get1...or gift w/purchase, etc.) in it. I'm liking the lanyard-around-the-neck idea for debit card and DL....and I may consolidate my ads and notebook into one item after reading momof2many's ideas.
