  1. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get it by Christmas!!!
  2. I don't think the sell $10 cards individually, I believe they are just sold in 3 or 4 packs of $10. So the smallest amount you'll be able to find is $15
  3. I rarely see those amounts on sale. Safeway had a deal and I think it was $40 for $34 I wish they would make $5 gift cards during the holidays for stocking stuffers and Easter basket gifts.
  4. I'm glad everyone thinks its as cute as I do!
  5. I'm bummer, the coupon isn't good on Land's End items.
  6. I just saw this video on YouTube. Too cute! My favorite part is at 1:09 this white kitty made me LOL and now DH thinks I'm crazy! Okay, he knows I'm crazy, but still. Have a Merry Christmas!!!
  7. Your baked apple pancake sounds yummy!
  8. I have to try everyones sausage biscuit and gravy ideas. I typically make homemade buttermilk biscuits and roll and cut them out. I've been making my own sausage lately too. I tried some frozen biscuits about a week ago that were as close to homemade as I've ever tasted and I will use those and some sausage from a local company. Thanks for the ideas!

  10. If you get a Zune you should look in to the Zune Marketplace and their Zune Pass. DH has it and LOVES it! There is a monthly fee of $14.99 per month and it gives you unlimited access to millions of songs that you can stream on your Zune, PC, etc... and you get to pick 10 songs each moth to keep and download on to your Zune. And you can try it for free for 14 days http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/zunepass/default.htm
  11. I hope you are able to figure some gifts out. It can be stressful when someone asks you to do something like that at the last minute. Maybe you could bring your kids to Target or some place similar and while you pick up a few little things like tape or hot cocoa you can see what they look at, at the store? Is there a show or concert that is coming up in the next couple of months that you all would like to go to? You could buy tickets for that or even a membership to the zoo or something similar. Do they play video games? If they have an xbox 360 you could get them a Kinect as a group gift and a game or two, unless of course you already did. :)
  12. I've heard Justice has some and I've seen some at Build A Bear too. Prayers for your family.
  13. I'm thinking of making some dipped Ritz for DH, but instead of peanut butter I am thinking of slicing a regular sized marshmallow and putting the marshmallow round between two crackers and then dipping in dark chocolate.
  14. Sounds like they gave out more codes than they had product available. I just don't understand why companies do this.
  15. Have you seen the Tervis brand? They sell them at Bed Bath and Beyond as well as online on the Tervis site. My brother has one and LOVES it! Bed Bath and Beyond sells them online too, but they are out of stock. They have all different sizes and can be used for hot and cold drinks. You buy the lid separately for $3.00, you can also buy a lid for a straw and the straw too. 16. Peppermint bark is so good and so easy to make! The hardest part is unwrapping all of the peppermint! Some recipes call for peppermint oil, but I don't think you need it. I've never used it and it has always been pepperminty enough. Besides, why buy an extra ingredient if you don't need too?! After I melt the chocolate I spread it out on a parchment lined pan and then sprinkle the peppermint on top. Yum!

I found one! I want to do this for my house and I don't even have kids. http://capturethemagic.com/
  18. One of my favorite gifts this year is the one for my youngest nephew. He is getting a Nike football jersey from his favorite college football team. The orig price is $40 and I see them at the games for that price every year. Last year I found one of the jerseys at Marshals on clearance for $5! I also bought my nephew some jeans from Gymboree that were orig $28.50 I got them on sale plus and extra 20 or 30% off and I paid less than $5 for his jeans. So he is getting a $68.50 outfit that I paid less than $10 for!!! I'm so going to ask if they can take a picture of him in his outfit. I know he is going to look so cute! I had a necklace made for my Mom. I found it on Etsy and the artist customized it with my brothers name, my name and my DH's name (Mom considers him one of her own, DH's Mom passed on 8 years ago so my mom watches over him for me and his Mom:) ) It is sterling silver and is so beautiful. I am excited for her to open it. Dad is getting a pressure cooker. He has wanted one, but hasn't picked it up for himself so DH and I researched and ordered one from Amazon. Presto 6qt Stainless Steel pressure cooker. $49.98 w/ free SS shipping. We had thought about getting it at a local store here, but they were selling it for $79.99 + tax+ shipping so it would have cost us almost $100. I like supporting local shops, but when the cost difference is so huge it is hard too. (We do shop there for other things thought)
  19. My aunt-in-law buys these scarves for her daughter each year. She is 8 years old and always loses scarves and she likes all the pretty colors. Some people buy and donate them. Some people give them as gifts, they make great stocking stuffers as well as nice filler in a gift basket. A friend of mine has a daughter that gets these for her friends at school for gifts each year. It really is the thought that counts. I'd love if a friend gave me a scarf (yes, even a scarf that cost a dollar) that they picked out just for me because they know that I LOVE a certain shade of blue.
  20. Great idea! She is going to be so surprised! Have fun on your cruise!
  21. I need one more gift for DH, but since he is sitting next to me I can't say what it is. DH just asked what I was typing and I told him. He said "You can tell them. I won't read it, I promise";) He is such a kid at Christmas! I am so excited that I am done shopping for this Christmas! I LOVE Christmas shopping, but now its time to enjoy the season even more and not worry about getting a great deal or whether or not a potential present is in stock.
  22. I'm not sure if this would work, but...have you tried emailing them and asking for a code? It may be a long shot, but the worst they can say is no.
  23. I always use real butter when I bake. My great grandmother, grandma and my mom always used real butter so I am just following in their footsteps. I use it because they did, but also because I just don't buy margarine or shortening. So I'm not sure what the differences would be with the cookies. I'm glad your last batch of cookies turned out well.
  24. Be sure to email them. The corporate office should know when their stores are not following their policies.
  25. It is frustrating, especially for people who are unable to buy earlier and have to wait for the week before Christmas.
