  1. My Dad likes their stuff too. We only get them for him if we can find a deal. They break so easily.
  2. I bought my dress at a local department store. It was on clearance and I paid about $28 for it. I had alterations done at the store and they were inexpensive as well. My dress was a very pale cream shade. Its was long with a halter style front and my back was bare. I wanted a very simple, but elegant dress because I was also wearing my Mom's veil, cathedral length, vintage lace and made by my Grandma. I tried on numerous dresses at so many stores and then my Mom found this one at work one day and it was perfect!. I found my BFF's wedding dress at the same department store. It was a very simple white formal gown with rhinestone trim under the bust. Her dress was a little over $100 full price. The dress hadn't even made it on to the floor yet. I saw it on the rolling rack and grabbed two sizes and put them on hold so she could try them on. Check at department stores and see if they have in house alterations. Even if they don't try to find one in your area. Alterations make all the difference. They will make a $100 look like a custom made dress. Fit is everything! CONGRATULATIONS!
  3. They have Fitness Magazine for $5.99 and it says 1 year auto renewal. Um...does that mean they will automatically renew it after a year for the same price that I pay for it now or for whatever price it is a year from now?
  4. Do they ever do these events for Costco? The Sam's in my area closed and we don't have a BJ's.
  5. Don't feel bad about that. I looked at another forum that was talking about the toy sale and a lady mentioned having 6 large rubbermaid containers filled with stuff from the last toy sale.
  6. Forgot to mention that my friend near Boulder, CO said that the Men's clothing clearance at the Boulder store is an extra 30% off. Women's, Juniors, Kids and Babies were not an extra 30% off. Just Men's. I'm not sure why it was just Men's. She said that the Women's department was filled to the brim with clothes too.
  7. Now I'm waiting for the Baby stuff to mark down more. I have two to buy for. One is here, my BFF's little boy. (1 week old and gorgeous!) and DH's brother and his wife are expecting.
  8. I've never had this done. So I don't know for sure. Do you have the manufacturer's name? If so you could email them and ask.
  9. Christmas is gone. SALVAGE! Talked to a friend of mine who lives near Boulder, CO. She stopped at Target after dropping her kids off at school and she went to check out what was left of the Christmas 90% off and she saw a ton of workers scanning and boxing it up. A few items she did pick up all came up Item Not Found. Thankfully since they were working on it when she was there they said she could still buy it for 90% off. It kinda feels like Christmas is really over for 2010-2011. She also said that they have consolidated the toys to one section. Most everything she found was 30-50% off and just a couple of 75% off toys. I haven't been to my store in a few days. I had thought about going, but she said none of the AirHogs were on clearance and thats the one toy I want. My Dad likes them, but seems to break them quickly.
  10. Eww chemical smell? I'll pass. Thanks for letting me know!
  11. I use to live in Bridgetown and then in Delhi a very long time ago!
  12. I'm looking at the Sobakawa Cloud pillow for DH too. He goes through pillows so fast. I could understand if I was buying him those $5 pillows from Target, but they are always nice, name brand and good quality pillows. Ugh! DH had a Homedics Memory foam pillow and he loved it...at first. Now he hates it. It became hard, its very weird, but the puppy likes it. However, she's a little weird too!
  13. I understand what you're saying, but the computer system didn't under charge her, the cashier did on accident. By letting them know right away, then the cashier would not keep making this mistake. The total should have been $400, but instead it was $52. That's a huge amount that the store lost because their cashier made a mistake. A mistake that large could get someone fired. A phone call letting them know what happened is all that would have been needed.
  14. Have you looked at NaturallyCurly.com or nappturality.com? Maybe someone on either of these forums can help you with your daughters hair. Good luck! Hair woes can be so frustrating. :) http://www.naturallycurly.com/ http://www.nappturality.com/
  15. Wow, thats like 96.45% off the regular price. You should call the store and let them know so that the cashier doesn't keep ringing things up wrong.
  16. If you haven't already, you should look up video's on You Tube that show step, by step how to use it. If you have looked at these and followed the directions exactly and the product didn't work then I would return it. Miss Jessie's site has a you tube link that you can click through. http://www.missjessies.com/site/index.htm This video just uses the Miss Jessie products. This video also uses one of the sit under hair dryer's, but from what I was reading you don't need to use one. http://www.youtube.com/user/curlsgolore#p/a/BE8D5416AF6EBC20/2/bFexFLn011U This video is good, but she uses a few different products. She said the best thing is to make sure you hair is moisturizer really well. http://www.youtube.com/user/curlsgolore#p/a/f/1/Y7ul_XtLMv8
  17. I should have put in my earlier post that I understand why they have the rules. I completely understand. I've worked on the other side of the counter and even though most of my customers were great, I did have a few that would buy something and then return it after they were finished with it or buy something for the holidays and then come back afterwards and try to get a price adjustment. (they paid full price and now its 75% off and they want me to give them the difference) I just think its frustrating for honest consumers.
  18. I completely agree. It's amazing how I will not like something if its 50-75% off, but once it hits 90% I feel the need to get it. I'm going to try and avoid Target this week so I don't spend money and fill up on stuff I don't need.
  19. It's pretty frustrating that the consumer laws are not standard through out the country. If you have a return to make, be sure to call and ask. I've made a return of a holiday item I bought at 50% off and when I returned it, it was now 75% off and even with a receipt they wouldn't give me the price I paid. Thankfully it was a roll of wrapping paper so the price difference wasn't huge, but I was still quite frustrated. Here is the policy from their website. Holiday and Seasonal Merchandise Refunds: Holiday and seasonal merchandise on clearance at the time of return will be refunded at the current clearance price. http://www.target.com/b/ref=br_bx_0/179-0863082-4590052?ie=UTF8&node=13685491
  20. Back ordered, but due in stock January 8. Great deal and you can add it on to your current membership.
  21. I'm trying to figure all of this out too. There is a thread in the Gotta Talk Lounge about the new extreme couponing show. You should ask your question there. There was even an article posted in that thread about hacking the deals. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?195278-Wait-why-wasn-t-I-cast-on-this-show the article posted in the thread http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/11/ff_hackingretail/all/1
  22. You might be better off to keep it in your closet and then give it to a friend as a gift. I understand why stores do this, but i don't always like it. I would be happier if they would give you a choice of exchanging it for the original price or returning it for the current selling price.
