  1. THANK YOU!!! This will work great for shopping for DH's birthday presents as well as Valentines Day! It is a little scary how excited I am to try this!
  2. Have her check at Marshals too. I always see Dooney bags there.
  3. mmouse1, I completely understand what you are saying. Like you, I get that it is first come, first serve, but sometimes it is frustrating to see people hoard that many of one item. Especially now with the economic situation the country is in, it would be nice if more people shared the great deals. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

  5. That was very cool of you to help out your friend katkat777! And giving gifts to your "little sister" and her family! Have a great Christmas!
  6. Waiting on DH's big gift, it shipped from Amazon.com UPS 2nd day air, and was suppose to be delivered today. (along with another package) It is snowing and cold outside,(about 6 inches) we get a lot of snow. Finally a little after 7 pm UPS pulls up outside our home and the driver is parked for almost 10 minutes and in the back of his truck and then drives off! He goes to the next street over and delivers a package and then leaves. I check my tracking information and it says "delayed delivery external circumstances" which I assume means the snow. I understand having delivery issues because of the weather and if I hadn't seen the truck outside for so long I would have been okay with it. However he was outside, he did deliver to someone else and I know our sidewalk, steps and patio were shoveled because, DH cleared them 10 minutes before UPS showed up. (4 time he shoveled today:yup:) I try not to get frustrated with the delivery drivers during the holidays and snowy weather. I guess I am just confused about the situation, and that is why I am frustrated.
  7. Also try Marshals, TJ Maxx and Ross. I always find great deals there for my Niece and Nephews. I agree with Target too. I think they begin clearance out some baby items in January. Check the Target Perimeter Perusing Thread here on GottaDeal. They are very helpful and may be able to give you and idea when their Baby sale starts. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=152124 Check out thrift stores in your area or even a more expensive part of town. My town is an expensive area and I routinely find brand new and like new baby items at the thrift stores. Have fun and good luck! Congratulations!
  8. I'm finished with under the tree gifts, stocking gifts and Christmas food! Woohoo!
  9. Woohoo! shipping confirmation from GelaSkins.com! Since I was pretty sure this wouldn't come before Christmas I printed out what I ordered. And wrapped it up.(custom skin for his iphone) I hadn't planned on making one for him, but I checked out their site after reading a article on gizmodo.com
  10. Waiting on 4 packages, but only one is a gift. (For DH and tracking says it should be here today.)
  11. Ask your in-laws if it is okay to buy the kids a family gift or something similar and open a savings account for each of them and deposit $100 in to their accounts
  12. I am finally finished shopping! WOOHOO! I didn't have a set budget, I kept a running total in my head and everything worked out great. Everything is paid in full. Now I just need to finish wrapping! ps I did go a little bit overboard on stocking stuffers for our pup. She is so spoiled and we kept finding treats she will LOVE. Thats what I get for going to the Doggy Bakery! At least she'll be good with treats for a while!
  13. It is just DH and I for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years. All of our family lives out of state and all our friends go out of town to visit their families. We enjoy having this time of year to ourselves (even though it is nice when my Mom and Dad and brother can visit) DH works long hours and takes time off for Christmas so we can relax. We spend about $150-$200 on food for the holidays. I haven't finalized our menu for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but I know we are having Cinnamon Bread French toast with Maple syrup in the morning. (the loaf weights at least 3 pounds, we get it from a local bakery for about $7.99) and thick cut Applegate Farms bacon. Yummy! And New Years Eve we will have lobster tails, king crab legs and filet. Have fun baking!
  14. I read that you decided on a gift for her, but thought I would add some suggestions just in case anyone else needs some. :) Uggs Indoor/Outdoor Slippers! DH gave me the Cozy II for my birthday ($90) and I LOVE them! I have the Classic Tall boots and the Bailey Button boots and I LOVE them too, but sometimes they are too warm and the Cozy II slippers are so YUMMY!!! Cozy II http://www.uggaustralia.com/ProductDetails.aspx?gID=w&productID=5614&model=Cozy+II A nice pair of hiking boots or even a North Face Denali jacket. I LOVE my down vest by GoLite, I'm not sure if the ladies x small would fit her, but I know that Patagonia and North Face have young lady versions. These pieces are nice looking, but also very practical for a tomboy! They keep her warm and looking cute! I wear mine out shopping and out hiking and haven't "worn them out" yet! 16. I like the Fly fishing Luggage idea. That is something that he most likely wouldn't buy for himself and is something he would enjoy!
