I've been going alone since the year after the Fruby frenzy. Got my folks to go with me that year and my mom got hit in the head with a bicycle! That was the end of it for them. Hubby refuses to go. He drove me one year and waited in the truck for me. He said "never again". So, I go it alone. My best friend goes shopping on BF and we keep in touch by cell phone. I pick up stuff for her at one store and she gets my stuff at another store. Michelle

Hi All, I live in Indiana (the very northwest tip of the state...not far from Chicago). The CVS ad from the Sunday paper had a coupon in it for a Free 25.00 Gift Card if you bring in a new perscription or transfer a perscription. There is also a coupon in the ad for 3.00 off of a purchase of 15.00. I don't think you can use both coupons together. Not sure if this is nationwide but thought it was a pretty good deal...especially if you have insurance. I took in a perscription and paid 4.00 for it and got the 25.00 gift card. To top it off, Target has a deal like this (10.00 gift card) so I'm going to transfer the perscription there for the refill!!! Michelle

I have two sets of paper...one set is all the clearance stuff I buy the day after Christmas. The other set is from Current Catalog...which I also bought on sale but it's still more expensive than the Wal Mart stuff. As for theme's....a little bit of everything! I have Rudolph paper, Santa paper, Candy Cane paper, Scooby Doo paper, Elmo paper, solid foil paper, John Deere paper, scenic paper, etc., etc., etc. I do my best to have no two packages in the same paper. I try to make each present have paper on it that pertains the person receiving it. Michelle

Yes, I'll be selling them. The profits will go towards Xmas presents/bills. Actually, I'll only be selling 13 of them. One will go to a local charity for children that don't get presents for Xmas. The other is one we just had to have for ourselves. We just had to open one to play with. I think we laugh harder every time we activate it. Michelle

Finally! I found some! After getting an email from PBS saying they cancelled my order (cancelled all the backorders) I figured I wouldn't be able to find any. Picked up 15 of them yesterday! I've been dragging my butt out at 3 in the morning every night to check the all night places and finally found some. The employees were laughing when I walked in. After 3 nights in a row they new what I was after and as I walked down the aisle one of the girls yelled to me "We got them, we got them!!!" Felt like I scored a touchdown! Michelle

Totally bummed. I ordered one through PBS when they were at 39.99. They were marked Backorder but they were still taking the orders. Just got an email from them (2 days later) that says they cancelled my order because they had too many orders and they don't know when they would be able to fill it. Oh well, win some lose some. Last year on December 23rd, Amazon had a 7 1/2 foot Thomas Pacconi (sp?) pre lit tree for 39.99. It has 1200 lights on it. It's just beautiful. Half the lights are white and half are color. It has a remote control and you can decide if you want all the lights on, just the white, or just the color. I signed up for the Amazon Prime and they delivered it on the 26th! No problem, it's for this year! I know this doesn't help you much for this year but I just had to rave about this tree. Easy set up and beautiful. I think the original cost was over 200.00. I checked the website and it's currently not available but maybe they'll get more in stock. The first two reviews on the site are bad but keep reading....the rest are great! I have this tree and it's wonderful. Hopefully this will work. I'm so excited that I was able to get one ordered on the PBS website this morning. From what I can tell, they are no longer taking orders. I probably should have ordered more than one but I was just happy to be able to order. We've watched the video clip on cnn several times and we just roar with laughter every time we watch it. Are the times listed for BOTH regular AND super wal-marts? My regular ad's just say Open 24 Hours but don't say anything about regular vs. super. Do ALL super wal-marts stay open the night before BF? Sorry for all the questions! I'm a seasoned BF shopper but not at Super Wal-Mart's....I feel sooooo inferior! LOL!!! Michelle

I have a question about Wal-Mart Hours. We have two Wal-mart's here. The one that I usually shop at is closed on Thanksgiving and opens early (I think 5 or 6) on BF. The other one is a SUPER Wal-Mart. As far I ask I know, they are normally open 24/7. How does this work for BF? Will they be open all night? Can I go inside early (say 3 or 4 AM) and wait? Or do they close and then re-open? I've been shopping BF for several years now but never at a SUPER Wal-Mart. Figured I might give it a try if I can wait inside. Thanks! Michelle

Check with the actual newspaper and see what kind of deal they can give you on having it delivered. We are getting the paper every single day...Sunday's included for a total of 6.00 a month. I called the paper and asked what the best deal they could do for me was and when she gave me a price, I said no. She dropped the price twice and when she got to 6.00 she said "Also, if you agree to have it charged to your credit card automatically we'll send you a 25.00 gift card to Speedway (gas station)." Couldn't pass it up! It might be worth a phone call to your local paper. Michelle

I bought the Magic Bullet after seeing the infomercial but I bought it at Kohl's. I love it!!! The catch is to make sure to read the instruction book...otherwise you can end up with a mess. The only thing that I would say that is misleading in the infomercial is that they say any job can be done in 10 seconds. NOT! It takes a little longer than that on most things but it's still worth it. Especially since everything goes in the dishwasher. Michelle

Yep, I'm still waiting on mine. Figured it would have shown up by now. I emailed them on April 27th. The reply I got said that terms state that we will get our certificates 2 to 4 weeks after the promotion. Promotion ended on April 17th so I figure I won't email them again til May 17th. Yes, you are remembering correctly. Soda pop used to taste so much better when it was made in glass bottles. There are still places in the United States that offer the glass bottles. We run into them once in a great while. We have a small mexican resturaunt down the road from us that has them...they import them from Mexico. In Mexico they still make Pepsi using real cane sugar...not syrup like they do here in the states. My hubby works for Pepsi...his plant doesn't seem to know (or doesn't want to say) anywhere where we can purchase them here in the United States. I think my next move will be to ask the owner of the mexican rest. if he can order us a couple of cases when he places his next order. It's a little rough paying 1.50 to 2.00 a bottle. I'd be happy to buy in bulk. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!

We leave on February 11th for Cozumel, Mexico for a week of Scuba Diving and on our last 3 trips we came home with over 300 pics on each trip (we have underwater digital camera set ups). This might be a silly question.... The certificate I'm looking at is a 25.00 Gift Certificate. It says "Valid with a Minimum Purchase of 35.00". Does that mean 35.00 in addition to the 25.00 certificate or does it mean if for example my bill is exactly 35.00 then I get to use the certificate and my balance due would be 10.00??? Just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. Thanks! Michelle
