I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt just tell u that so you'd get stuck paying the higher price. The BF ad specifically says they WILL NOT price match any of the BF sales items. I wouldnt risk taking their word over something in writing unless u were able to get a manager to give it to u in writing that they will prioce match the BF doorbuster sales items.

Good to know~ Thanks for the info!

LOL this post made me think of myself. I use mine and my husbands coats to cover up the stuff I have snuck into the basket without my kid seeing.

Unfortunately this is a problem. If you camped out overnight and were 10in in line and there were only 15 laptops or whatever available and everyone in fromt of you saved a space for just 1 person, you would then be number 19 and would be out of that doorbuster item cause of everyone who had just saved a space for just one person. I think u should take turns sitting in the car staying warm, but they need to be there with you the entire time. Because if it's ok for one person to do it then it would have to be ok for everyone to do it. I know the year my son was born, he was only 6 weeks old so My husband went and stood in line all night and I went over and met him (with the baby) about an hour before the store opened. As i was walking up I let everyone know I would not be taking any tickets for any doorbusters, I was just there to be sure my hubby got the correct ones. I just dont think it would have been fair otherwise, even though I would have loved more than one of the laptops, to me it just wasnt right to take something away from someone who HAD stood in that line overnight.

All the one on sale so far on BF are really good starter machines. I like the kenmore at Kmart myself but the Brother at Walmart is a good one too. I have a $5000 sewing/embroidery machine and I am thinking about buying one of those myself for small sewing jobs as my machine is just huge and converting it from embroidery to sewing can just be a pain. I'll probably get the brother one at walmart though since Kmart is a ways away and my embroidery machine is a Brother and I have had one of those sewing machines before and it did hold up really well. I just got stupid and threw the old one out to save space when I brought home my monster. LOL Good luck, I'm sure she will love whichever one u buy.

darn! Would have been a nice break for the kids

to be honest I think the deal at TRU going on this week is a better deal. You get the GBA SP reg price 79.99, 2 games (Fairy odd parentsreg price 14.95 and Jimmy Neutron Attack- reg price 14.99) and the starter kit reg price 29.99 for 99.92 . Reg price for all total is 139.92. So thats a savings of $40.00. If u bought the one on BF at CC for 49.99 and then bought the two games ( 29.94) and starter kit (29.99) your total would be 109.92. So if those two games are something your kid will play then this is the better deal. TRU extended warranty for one year on the GBA SP is only 8.99 so I highly recommend it considering how rough kids can be with these things. Also if you have a copy of the ad from Sunday's paper you can use the coupon in it and get a 10 dollar gift certificate for a future purchase. Just my personal opinion, and I did buy this yesterday and their nintendo DS lite bundle also and had my husband pay for the other one after picking up a second paper and getting another coupon so we got 2 ten dollar gift certificates and it's one less thing to worry about on Black friday. :) Good Luck whatever you decide!

Buying the day before then returning on Black Friday to get difference?
lindabacker replied to rdtsmith's topic in 2006
Just dont try it at Best Buy, they will not price match any items in their Black Friday sales ad,, it says that on the ad itself. -
well u have to look at the way advertising has changed since pricematching became popularized, a lot of the better sales advertises are BOGO or % off and walmart will not price match those. I think it is the other stores way of fighting back. :)
-
Oh yeah and I picked up an extra newspaper and had my husband pay for one and I paid for the other so we each got a 10 dollar gift card too.

I got the gameboy advance sp special today at toysrus for 99. It came with the starter kit and 2 games, so I think that was a decent deal as the started kit is normally 20 and the games are about 20+ each normally, and I dont have to stand in line on BF for them. :) I also bought the nintendo ds lite pkg for 149 with the starter kit and game for my older kid

Buying before BF and getting price difference on BF
lindabacker replied to ButterBee's topic in 2006
" Best Buy's price match policy does not apply to items in this ad and does not apply to previous purchases." This is located on page 23 of the PDF download in the red box next to Store hours and under the heading Shop Early. Apparently they caught on to the number of people doing this in the past. -

every one needs to pay attention to the fine print in the BB ad. It specifically says they will not price match those items -

when I placed my order with lakeside today I was imp[ressed by the fact that they tell u online how much more u can add to your cart for no additional shipping. Never known anyone else o do that. And shipping was not bad at all. I got the firetruck car track thing, 2 sets of magnetixs and a garmet rack and the shipping was aropund 8 dollars.
