We go to our in-laws and have dinner with Hubby's side of the family and friends. The kids track Santa on the computer. Then we head home, the kids put on their X-Mas PJ's and Hubby and I are usually up until 2am wrapping and watching A Christmas Story about 3 times! Since the kids will probably be getting up early this year I'm hoping I can get everything wrapped BEFORE X-Mas eve!

Typically unwrapped because "Santa" only gets one gift. It's the most expensive or "best" gift and usually requires being put together (last year was a play kitchen, this year is a dollhouse).

I think the way they did it this year was great! I wasn't there for any lines items so I got there about 3am. I shopped around, got everything I wanted in my cart and headed for the registers about 4:30. At about 4:45 the cashiers came out and we all proceeded to the registers in an orderly fashion. At 5am they started ringing and I was out the door less than 10 minutes later!

Wow! Was I the only one with a good experience at TRU on BF?! I got in line about 9pm with my niece. We were roughly 24 and 25th in line. By the time midnight got there the line went across the front of the building, down the left side of the parking lot, across the back, up the right side of the parking lot and almost met us at the front. They came around at about 11pm and handed out tickets for the Zhu Zhu's and a few other things a little while later. At midnight the manager came out and asked that we act like adults and NO TOY is worth pushing and shoving to get. We single filed in, I walked around and got what I wanted, got in line and was out in 10 minutes flat! Driving out I had to squeeze though the line of people blocking the isle! I bet those people didn't have such a great experience in the store as I did!

You line up inside for the individual item you want. There are 10 items for the lines and you can get on the map on walmart.com. I'm heading to TRU right now! Maybe I will "see" you there!

I am! They aren't closing tonight. Staying open. Lines start at midnight but you can't buy until 5am. I probably won't be there til around 2am because I don't need a big ticket item.

My Walmart is staying open from when they open tomorrow morning until 11pm Friday night. So if it says 5am to 11am in the flier I can only buy it after 5am but if it says all day Friday I can get it at 12am?

So this will be my first year going to TRU first. I'm planning on going around 9pm, hoping the Zhu Zhu's don't make people line up at 6pm! Anyway, do they hand out maps?...will the DS games be located in the R Zone or on the floor?...what about the other electronics?

I just bought the Belkin that is on sale on BF at Walmart for $29 at Best Buy for $29.99. Bought it online and picked it up in the store, did have to fight the lines for it!

Wow! Now I really can't wait til my kids get to 14!

Haven't seen them for BF except for Gamestop but I think it was the regular $99 price.

You can price match at Walmart. That's what I'm doing with the Supernatural seasons!

My advice is get here as early as you feel comfortable and weight how badly you want the laptop with that.

The blu-ray is on the list for the lines which means you will have to get there before midnight. At the WM in my town they are opening the doors at midnight, you find the line for the item you want, they give you a ticket and then you still have to stand in line until 5 with a few 10 minute breaks. Oh and for the "non-line" items I still don't think you can walk around and shop until 5am. That could be per store though. I just called, you can walk around but can't buy any of the "special event" items until 5. I suggest you call your local Walmart and ask a store manager.

3am? I think that's way too late. I'd defiantly get there before midnight.

Urg! Thanks anyway. Well the only reason I was gonna get it was because it was the black one. I might just keep the silver one I got in a bundle at TRU a couple weeks ago.

In trying to make this easier (safer) WM has only created more confusion and in turn will be more dangerous and out of control than before. IMHO.

Lol. I don't think the people around me would make it through 5 hours with me! I'm bringing my niece with me so hopefully we can make it work :)

I don't have either but I like the Kodak name better than Vivitar. IMHO!
