  1. I really hate to see people have bad experiences with WM. Just goes to show you, how management treats and passes information to associates. The BF plan ran fairly smoothly at our store. Although electronics got a bit crowded. Some management teams don't care about customers and it rubs off on associates.
  2. Walmart will price match price to price. Walmart considers BOGO and % off ads "gimmicks". However, what our store manager tells cashiers to tell customers is this, "Figure out what the percent off of their regular price is and if we are higher then we will match it. More than most, with their percent5 off ads, our price is usually lower." I have never seen our store match BOGO ads. Albertsons in our area was famous for BOGO ads, but when you really broke it down, WMs regular prices were still lower than their sale prices. Numerous studies have shown that WM grocery prices were on average 7 to 9 percent lower than competitors. Sure, we get beat now and then, but we do price match! :)
  3. Oh and I just found Madden 10, Need for Speed Shift, and a few others for $34.99! All down from $59.96!
  4. So, I am cruising through WM today and happened to notice several huge christmas signs that said "Games Make Great Gifts". Under that is a promo sign stating XBox 360 Games and PS3 games "Was 59.96, now 50.00". And Wii games "Was 49.96, now 40.00". Sure enough they have rolled back the prices on most of those price points. I even saw Halo ODST for 34.99! Not sure if this instore only or online as well. www.walmart.com Thanks!
  5. I have noticed a decline in most department stores. Funny thing is, I've started to see some fairly stylish items at Walmart lately, and good quality too! I am a bigger guy so I have to shop big and tall sizes. That is discouraging! Hardly anyone sells stylish big and tall sizes. I'm tired of them assuming all big guys want to wear are oversized shirts with dumb sayings on them like "Big Man on Campus", lol!
  6. Dell Inspiron 1545 Was $549 Now ? Any idea on what this will drop to at 6am? Is it woth waiting for?

    SECRET sale!

Ok, so I am checking in from WM. Was told that there are 3 items in the ad that will ring up LESS than marked. These are secret sale items picked by each manager. My friend bought a $397 32 inch Vizio and it rang up $248!
  8. It is 1:16am here, I go in to work at WM at 4am...my coworker just texted me and said they were handing out tickets to those in line. Sad, most stores should be on the same page.
  9. If your store missed the memo, they're screwed! My store has two-part tickets with the exact count of each BF hot item. Sad to see some stores with no tickets at all. Defeats the purpose of the new plan.
  10. Working today and found Snuggie for Kids and Snuggie Wildside for $14 as an Unbeatable Price! Www,walmart.com. Cannot link directly to my store but it is here I am staring at it now.
  11. It did have something to do with lines. The line punding at the doors at 5am. This plan is set to eliminate the mad rush so people aren't running to all get to one spot at 5am. As far as the tickets, if you leave the line PRIOR to getting a ticket you're screwed. Once you have a ticket there is no need to stand in line. What's the point? You have your item (ticket). MCMC, thanks for the debate. Good to have a lively discussion! Have a Happy Turkey Day!
  12. If you have a ticket, you still cannot buy the item until 5am.
  13. Like I said before. I am not going to argue this. I work in asset protection and this plan is being followed and signed off on by our market manager. I've been reading this plan for months. Why would we force people to line up for tickets and make them stay there? The whole point of this plan is to avoid the mob scene lines that killed a fellow associate last year. That is why many non supercenters are opening up at 6pm tonight through close tomorrow night. I even called a store outside our market and they are doing it much the same way I described. I am pretty sure our manager is following the market plan. I know how much money and who was brought in to create this plan. So again, Midnight sale items (all day sale) will be available at midnight! BF ad hot items (on map) will be ticketed. IF there is a line FOR tickets, this is where the bathroom pass comes in. Tickets will be passed out at midnight. Some stores may have lines starting for these items well before this point. This is where the bathroom pass comes in to play. If you leave the line BEFORE TICKETS ARE HANDED OUT, you need a pass. Once midnight hits, tickets will be handed out to those IN LINE. Once you have a ticket, you can go dance circles around the toy department, because that item is now yours. For example, Hot Item A. If there is a line forming PRIOR to midnight, and you go stand in it, you have to stay in the line until you get a ticket. At midnight tickets will be handed out. Next example, Hot item A. You get to the store after midnight, there is no line at the balloon. There will be an associate there, if they have tickets left, you get one and go. Thank you.
  14. Look obviously some managers have interpreted the new plan in their own way. Not going to get in a pissing contest about this.
  15. I think many stores are confused... I was again told by store management that the items that are on the map, marked with giant yellow balloons, are the ticketed hot items. You can get a ticket NO EARLIER THAN MIDNIGHT. Omce you have a ticket, you can fly yo the moon and back or go sleep in your car. Your ticket guarantees you that item to be sold to YOU at 5am. Here is where the confusion lies, you CANNOT buy any of the 5am sale items until 5am. I was also told you can get a 5am item at say 3am and put it in your cart unti 5am! There is also the regular ad which starts at midnight. Those items will be available at midnight! If your store told you that if you get a ticket, you have to stay in line, then that is flat out wrong. That defeats the whole purpose of this new BF plan. This plan was designed so there would be order and no line rushes at 5am. Hence, the tickets, the spread out floor plan, etc. The only lines you should encounter are at the registers, lol. If your store is telling you otherwise, I would seriously question it.
