How old is DS? My DS was 8 last year when he got the roller coaster one. After about 20 min he was bored and I ended up putting the whole thing together myself! It took hours over days and weeks and when I was finally done it was kinda cool but...now what do I do with it! It ended up getting broken by another kid that was over the house and I couldn't get it back together so I took it apart and will never put it back together. Oh sorry back to your original question...no magnets, very small parts!

I LOVE XP! I know 7 will take some getting used to but it's GOT to be better than Vista! I still have XP on my desktop and plan on keeping it that way for looong time! :)

:) What I mean by last longer meaning it will last longer technology wise, not that the one for $250 would break sooner. I do maintain my computers well. My desktop that I bought 3 years ago BF is running as fast as the day I bought it! What helps if the Core 2 Duo and I never installed the free Vista upgrade!

Oh yes you were. Thank you. Well I bought the one at BB online for $430 and picking it up at the store (when I return the $250 one ). After I got home yesterday with the one for $250 I talked with DH and we decided to get a better laptop that might last us a little longer. So figuring the one at Staples for BF and the one at BB where pretty much the same I spent the extra $30 NOT to stand out in the freezing cold for hours!

I honestly don't think that's a "Secret Saturday Sale". If there isn't anything else that comes out as being on sale Saturday than I say that last weekend was the only Saturday Sale.

Thanks guys but I was asking the difference between the HP at Staples BF for $399 and the HP at BB right now for $430?

IF they price match I doubt they would let you add a coupon on top of it.

That WAS last year. Yours also didn't have Windows 7! Unless we have a model number there is no way to be sure! :)

The one for $400 does in the pic, the one for $300 you can't tell. I would assume they both do, I don't know of a laptop that doesn't. Could be wrong though. The one I bought today at BB for $250 does.

The HP for $299 has an Intel Celeron I think 900 (or 800, hard to read right there) The HP for $399 has an Intel Pentium T4300 The other stuff you probably can't tell without a model number, which if there were one I can't read it!

Ok, one more question! Is there a big difference between the HP at Staples on BF than this one on sale at BB right now besides $30? It say's it has a 15.4 inch widescreen. The only games that will be played on it with probably only be Farmville! Which DOES need Java. Also we'll want to play movies on it and possibly watch TV shows online. At this point we either keep it or return it and try for the HP for $399 at Staples BF.

So I went to BB and got one. Now it's just sitting there cuz I don't know if I want to open it in case I decide I don't want it. I finally bought a laptop and I'm still confused!

Would this laptop be good as a secondary computer, or is it really not that good?

Disappointed that the laptops aren't the ones we thought.

I try to give my 2 kids equal number of gifts and try to keep the cost about the same. Even though they have the same amount of presents DD4 always looks like she has more than DS9 because DD's presents are so much bigger even though DS's cost more! You can't please all of the people (aka kids!) all of the time! :)

Looks like the same one *rumored* to be in the OM BF ad for $149. Just saying! Looks good for a netbook though. :)

With those specs under $200 would be a good deal for that laptop!

And last year it was a Monday...Nov 24th '07 was a Saturday. Oh and I just bought an HD DVD player a few months ago. Not everyone is jumping on the Blue Ray bandwagon!

I pay $100 MORE for the same laptop at Staples rather than stand in line at BB for 12+ hours!

Ya, we can only "speculate" which one it is. We "assume" it's either the HP g60-530US or the HP DV4-1540US. Either one would be a great deal! I did some recon at Staples today and they had both of these on display. I'd take either for $300!

Now that we've had a few leaks I really want the Staples ad! :)
