  1. Great deal and everyone is so excited. I'm really fighting the urge to join in and search my local RS's since I don't really need one. :)
  2. Which would be better to get? Target's BF Philips Dual Screen Portable DVD Player for $85 or Kmart's BF Sylvania Dual Screen Portable DVD Player for $79.99?
  3. bigjim has me in a panic now, lol. I already planned on driving by earlier than my line up time to to see what's up. But now I think I will just stick around after 5. I live less than 10 mins away from my TRU so I have the luxury of going back and forth. I want/need to be one of the first 20 in line for the limited Santa Sing A Ma Jig, and I want to get in and out asap. I don't want to be trapped in TRU's infamous check out line
  4. WOW! Great idea. I wouldn't be able to watch because I will be in line, but broadcast on satellite and I could DVR it! I could watch it over the remainder of the holiday weekend. Oh so fun! I love seeing others experiences.
  5. Yep, WM has practically gone full circle and now we're back to the madhouse again. Last year was good. This year is going to stink. Long lines waiting outside and a mad dash and scramble when doors open. Phooey! I just want a bike, some girls jeans, and some $1.96 movies. LOTR to be exact. But it may not be worth it. I might just skip it all together and wait at Target instead.
  6. I think there is typo with the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday schedule. It should read 12 Noon to 8:30pm, not 12 Noon and 8:30pm. LOL One can hope looking forward to them!! Thanks
  7. I agree with this. I also think a lot more people will be at TRU too because of their 10pm opening. I think I need to be at TRU by 6pm. I hope to plant a friend or family member in line at WM sometime between 8-10pm. So as soon as I'm done at TRU I will go join them at the WM line. When I'm in line checking out at WM I will send someone over to Target. Then head over to target and wait. Ugh this is so awful. I really hope next years times go back to normal.
  8. Funny that you mention zooLert, they just posted on their FB today about that game being HOT and to "get it while you can." They also say they will have a video review soon.
  9. Found these pics, it's good for a size comparison. Monster High + Mini Lalaloopsy pic Another Mini + accessories Also, I think the house may just be that packaging that doubles as a house. You know a lot of people were asking for that with the larger dolls. It appears MGA listened and implemented that with the minis.
  10. I just saw a commercial for the new Zhu Zhu Princess line. The ballroom and castle....it's all so cute!! Just when I thought Zhu Zhu's were in the past...... Oh and the mini Lalaloopsy line will have doll houses and accessories available too
  11. I do the same, but with my mom. I park her with a cart somewhere, usually between clothes racks, and I run around and drop off when need be. Except for last year. I was there at midnight night and leisurely strolled the store with my cart for THREE hours, before lining up for two more hours. Most people came into the store between 4-5am not realizing the store was open 24 hours that time. I really think it spoiled me, because now I'm really dreading fighting the crowds. Whereas in previous years I never realized it could be any other way. With doors opening at midnight, I'm sure I'll be back to parking someone with a cart while I run all over hell and back.
  12. I'm gonna be there @ 6pm for that Santa Sing A Ma Jig. Last year I sat in line 3 hours for a Zhu Zhu. WTH is wrong with me?!
  13. For all the items in their inventory that they are handing out armbands for, there is a specific armband associated with each item and I believe it has an inventory code on it. So if there are 10 laptops they will have 10 laptop armbands. #1 armband for #1 laptop, #2 armband for #2 laptop, and so on. They are tracking their stock very closely. I don't know how many armbands each person will be allowed, I imagine just one. HTH :) The info has been given in different press releases. Maybe someone can locate it and link it?

    Nintendo DS

My Walmart had the 4 sided display full of them. But they were gone by the 5am checkout time. People had been grabbing them all throughout the night and then waiting for 5am checkout. By 4-5am there was a rush of people just getting to the store trying to get some but they were gone by then.
  15. It's as if you are speaking to me, LOL! I am a doubter I do see how separating the non doorbuster crowd from the doorbuster crowd will help. BUT...last year people could trickle in all night and load their cart and wait. This year every non doorbuster person will have to be there at midnight or chance not getting their items. Granted the isles won't be littered with people waiting hours to check out. But there will still be a big rush at midnight when doors open. Those wanting non door busters and those trying to find a line to wait in for the doorbusters.
  16. Last year there was a cardboard display set up in the middle of an isle full of DS's. Did not need need an armband and there was no limit.
  17. Do you have a bunker in Hawaii that go to for a week or two after this is all over?
  18. If you're only allowed one arm band then that would mean only one item period. Every single "hot" item has an armband w/item inventory code associated to it. So if you were going to get two laptops, you would have to have two armbands.
  19. Umm...the way I take all this is that there will be a big line up outside again, the doors will open at midnight, then there will be a scramble for the video games, clothes, etc. And there will be fighting and chaos to get in a line for the 5am electronics. I don't see much improvement here. Heads up for those thinking of going in later and hoping to still grab some items, my experience from several years of WM BF shopping is that pj's, jeans, and video games sell out very very quickly. Bikes will probably be gone fairly quickly too. The movies usually last a few hours.
  20. Umm....that Joan Jett doll is TOTALLY cool!!! The $6.66666666 video games are a great deal. But the TV series on DVD... Melrose Place and 7th Heaven, LOL! The Pillow Pet knock offs are cuter than the real thing and half the price.
  21. For the Lalaloopsy fans, MGA is releasing mini Lala dolls that are all plastic (including clothes) and only 3" tall. They have been spotted at some TRU's already but I read the official release date is 12/1. So they should showing up in stores after that.
  22. How do you think the midnight sales will work at WM? Do you think we will be able to go in early and load out carts?

    24 hour WalMarts?

Come on WM employees, tell how the 12:01 sale is going to work! Where will they put all the people coming in the store well before midnight? How early can we get to the items? Thanks!
