I love midnight madness at the outlets and the stores opening up earlier is messing me up because 5am was perfect amount of time for me to shop everything I needed at the outlets then run to kmart, then toys r us, then still hit the mall before the 10am-noon timeline ended on most of the stores their discounts!

I think Aero at the outlets usually have 50% off in the morning but I could be wrong..maybe it is 40%... -
I LOVE shopping kmart on black friday. I always get there 30 minutes before opening n we are still maybe 30-40th in line, everything is SUPER organized, everyone is nice and happy, and Ive never seen a pushing or crazy incident like I read on here. Maybe I am just lucky with the kmart I go too. This is why I send dh to Target, that place is a madhouse and he deals better with that craziness!

Was there a 10giftcard off 75 dollar purchase on the back? Thanks =)

I would make more pies if that is the only dessert you are serving. If your are also having cookies, cakes, pastries etc, then 4 should be enough. I always go WAY overboard but every1 leaves happy with tons of leftovers =O)

How many Christmas gatherings does your family have?
momof3luvs1 replied to leefamily23's topic in 2011
It used to be crazy when I lived in NY since I always hosted all the family and friends events. Since I moved now we just have Christmas eve with my family and the few friends I have that are close here including my bff who is my daughters godfather. Then on Christmas it is just us and if anyone is visiting us for the holidays but I still have a huge family dinner. I love the holidays and as crazy as it was, I really miss all the big gatherings we used to have... -
Target does have them and they are called walkables.

How do you make your lists/budge/amount of giftst?
momof3luvs1 replied to momof3luvs1's topic in 2011
I dont have a set number of gifts, plus I wrap alot of things that go together as 1 gift. (So for example I will wrap a pair of pjs with a pair of slippers.) I do however try really hard to have the kids open up the same amount if possible. WE live far now from family and friends so all the gifts get mailed to us. So when all is said and done eavh kid is probably opening between 40-50 gifts but from alot of people not just us. I have been toying with the idea of this year letting them open up gifts from other people on Christmas eve and then on Christmas morning having them open the hifts from us because it is just SO much and it really gets crazy...Does anyone else seperate gifts like that? -
What will your kids give their teacher(s) this year?
momof3luvs1 replied to angelbabymommy's topic in 2011
I took a break from teaching with my 2 little ones but was a teacher for a few years and will go back when my son starts kindergarten. I have to honestly say I appreciate anything I was ever given from hand drawn pictures and notes to lavish gifts. However, me personally and pretty much all of my teacher friends would never eat a homemade food gift. It is not an insult but it would always go to waste. I would personally ask the teacher if this is something they would enjoy as people are very particular about their food. I was always very thankful when I got a homemadefood gift but then it would always go straight to waste n I always felt terrible. -
That is usually the extra coupon that the mailers get, but there is normally in the back a 10 dollar giftcard offer for every 75 spent that comes in the mailer and newspaper versions.
-
Just a quick question, I didnt notice their usual 10 giftcard with 75 dollar purchase coupon. Was that in there by any chance?
-
Thanks so much =)

I got a great job at Kohls as well. I got the b60 when it was on sale at kohls and used a 30% coupon on it so I ended up spending like 60.00 for it! I was psyched , plus I got the 10 dollars kohls cash which I used towards the Carousel which I DEFINATELY recomend! So you should get that if you are looking for good accesories!

When is it officially Christmas time in your house?
momof3luvs1 replied to dwc designs's topic in 2011
Usually right after Thanksgiving. I host a huge family feast and then we relax and watch nice movies/or have the Christmas music going, by the next day black friday madness and decorating has me in FULL holiday mode =) Of course unofficially I start thinking about Christmas in September...lol -
Anyone get one in the mail today? Last year I think someone got it the Thursday or Friday of this week...

Hmmm, well when she naps once she is asleep can you get up? I used to have to do that with my dd, lay down with her but once she fell asleep I could get up and do my chores. Or, at night time as well? That might be the only way to get it done. My dd was very attached to me as well so I had to make due with the limited time I had to get stuff done...
-
Wow, your dad is a Yankee fan and dh is a red sox fan?? That would of caused so many problems in my house....LOL
-
My favorite part of the holidays is the magic in my dd9's eyes when she wakes up Christmas morning. She always writes Santa a big thank you letter in advance, makes him a little gift, and leaves him cookies and chocolate milk. It is the sweetest thing ever, and that magic will have to always be there or I will be heartbroken!
-
My dd 9 number 1 request on her list to santa is a traffic light. Literally a red , yellow, and green traffic light to put in her room for decoration...lol
-
What is her nap schedule like? My best advice would be to get stuff done when she is asleep. Or does she ever go with dh the same way she is with you? Or a grandparent?

Last year someone got it on the 22nd, Brad posted it early on the 23rd, so Im hopeful that we will get it by Friday =)
