  1. I am stalking a Casio wk-200 keyboard for one of my boys. Its is regular $199 on clearance for $99. If anyone sees these go to $50 please post. The Hillcrest Target has 2 I am going to check the Greenbriar one in the morning. TIA It has to go to $50 for me to stay in budget.
  2. When my DD was 3 she got a pass to the zoo near us. She is 8 now and we still get her a zoo pass. If she lives near you it would be a great outing whenever the weather is pretty. If you want toys, I would add to the above post and say a dollhouse, puzzles, books, a train table (they even have a train in pink) or wooden building blocks.
  3. My boss is nice enough to let me store a lot of things at work. I also have tubs in the storage shed that I use.
  4. Did you see the dollhouses posted on the Amazon thread?? Super Cute!!
  5. My Kmart was very picked over. Found a few things but I probably should have listened to Noehlp and gone to CVS. I fould the two pack of Cutants (polly pocket) for $1.75, a spirograph for $3.50, the 20 question game for $4.00. An off brand playdoh set for $2.00 a PDA play set for $1.50 and some little airplane thing for $1.25. The did have the Weebles treehouse final price of $11.00. The Bendaroos I went for were gone.
  6. UGH!! Do I go to CVS or Kmart in the morning?? I have been waiting for the clearance to go 50%. DD wants Bendaroos and they had them on clearance there.
  7. Thanks for posting I will make CVS my morning stop tomorrow.
  8. My DD is 8 also. She still loves Barbies, and Polly Pockets but she really wants the LIV girls this year. Besides toys she has asked for lil pillow pets, a bean bag chair, and boots. I am thinking of getting her the Barbie fashion design portfolio (saw at Target $19.99) I have an almost 2 year old nephew and DGS , they like blocks, cars that fit into their hands (small ones) books. I think they would like the FP or LT basketball set or maybe the bowling sets too. For the almost 1 year old maybe the Leap Frog Violet, I plan to get one for my newest DGD (due anytime). The 5 year olds may like to have some of the same things, Radio control cars (You can get them in boy or girl colors) Soccer set with their own ball, two sided easel (sp?) with paints or markers. Hotwheels or matchbox cars with a case for him, Polly pockets for her.
  9. Picked up a docking/charging station for the Wii for $10.48 made by duracell this morning. I love having that 30 minutes in the morning between taking DD to school and having to be at work. It's just enough time to check a few of the clearance spots.

    Halloween

Do you have the directions for these ginger bread houses??
  11. I noticed Best Buy has the 3G kindle with a $30. gift card in their ad this week. I wonder if amazon will offer something similar soon?
  12. Great idea!! She loves hot chocolate and toasted marshmellows. I agree that it is the simple things that we remember.
  13. I'll have to lookup the Christmas elf, I remember reading about that on here too, thanks for the reminder
  14. Power Hours Friday night and Saturday morning. I saw a few things in the ad that I want with the extra 30% and the free ship code! Thanks for the codes!!
  15. We do many of the things listed above. However in the last 2 years we have had a big group So on Thanksgiving we all write our list for each store, each store has an envelope, everyone totals their list and puts the list and the cash in the store envelope to pay for their purchases. Then whoever is going to that store gets the envelope with all the lists and money needed. It has worked really well for us and helps us to not make to many unplanned purchases. If something cannot be gotten, we call and make sure a substitute can be made if possible. I usually write a master list for my store or stores so I can get in and out as soon as possible. This year our group will be smaller but I still like the envelopes.
  16. All the items I placed in my cart are now unavailable (I was trying to spend $25) SOOOOO SAD!!
  17. Great deal on the lego!!! What kind of closet organizer??
  18. Thank you!
  19. DD has the imaginarium doll house from TRU and it has also held up. She has it for 2 years and it looks brand new still after lots of play time. She has the Polly Pocket cruise ship too and we have not had any problems with it. I was afraid the Barbie house would not hold up. However, she does have the Barbie camper and it has lasted.
  20. Our newest grandbaby will be 2 months old this Christmas. She is due Oct 18. I plan to get her toys to grow into. One 3 months, one 6 month, one 9 months. Nothing huge but toys she can grow into. DD will put themup and pull them out during the year. DD will let me know if she needs anything else, but she has a lot of clothes in various sizes already. I did notice DD looking at pink boots the other day so I may get those. Maybe you can look for toys that he can grow into as well. I would also suggest a wagon if he does not have one.
  21. It is so hard to decide when to buy. I am still kicking myself that I did not buy the Wii a few weeks ago when Amazon had the $40 gift card. I think last year there were some other offers of gift card with ipods before BF. I would keep watching until you see some kind of offer that is close to what you would see on BF.
  22. When mine were little, my goal was to set the budget, and then wrap to get the same number of packages. I would allow myself some wiggle room in the budget in case I found a great deal or a great "got to have it type gift". I also did not mind if one or two children had 1 gift more than the others. Now most of mine are grown so I only do the budget, and their favorite thing to figure out is whose present is the best deal. So I would first decide my budget per child (mine use to be 125-150) Then I would look at their wish list and decide what I could afford and what I wanted to surprise them with (something not on the list) Then I would figure out how many packages they each would have and adjust I remember one year: DS #3 was really into spiderman. I think we bought every spiderman action figure they made. The figures were wrapped as 1 present.
  23. Congrats to all the winners, and thank you for all the great deals!!
  24. Saw a few toys marked 30% off: Liv girls (moonlight dance), Orbeez (sp), 2 different zooble sets, an Elmo playdoh set.
