I am done shopping. I do not plan on buying anything else for Christmas 2011. If I could expand my budget I probably would but there has to be a stopping point.

Finally got oldest DS done. The prices online at Sears were so much better than the in store prices I saw last night!! I am sure I saved $30.00 plus the $5 off code from this site and I had rewards I could use too. I have one more small thing to get one of my DILs and my DS#3 called and said he was putting money in my acccount to get his BIL a gift since they have his name. I have now finished my youngest DD for about the 8th time.

Did I say I was almost done??? I'll never finish if I do not quit buying, and I still have not got anything great for DS #1.

That is a hard one, but if your DH wants his family there and is not bothered by them being there Christmas morning then I think you need to go along. I think it would cause hard feelings if you asked them to stay somewhere else 1 night. It would be nice if they offered to go to your MIL's house while you have your family over, so maybe your DH could ask (or at least hint to) them to be scarce for a few hours. Is your SIL someone you can talk to about the fear of the kids questioning Santa? That way she can decide if she should buy her DD a few more things or not. I am sure your Christmas with your kids will still be wonderful, because you love them!!

Depending on your budget, you could do a game or movie basket for a family night maybe put in a blanket for the baby as a liner.

Maybe a new robe and slippers. An apron and a cookbook, or crockpot. A piece of jewelry.

That's how I feel too (about DD8) but that Udraw is really tempting!!!

I am getting close. I still need to get the angel tree gift and finish the two boys are office is doing. For my own family I am about 80% done shopping. I hope to get a lot done this weekend.

DS and I are super excited. I have one vacation day left and I'll use it to spend a whole day with him. Because of schedules our family will exchange gifts on the 26th and have our traditional Christmas breakfast. I called him the other day and asked if he was packed yet, Ds responded it's packed and by the door! Such a good son!!

I have a Kroger that I will be near this weekend. Do you want me to stop and check if they have one? or at least call them?

Have you seen the Barbie set in a store? (vacumn set) I know my DD would like this too.

Is it the Happy Birthday Barbie Princess Doll? I tried to look at doll on link on previous post but my computer is on its last leg.

DH has agreed to me and DD doing a little decorating in the house. I plan to put up a live tree on Dec 13th at my house and another tree up at my parents house (with brother and SIL) on the 15th. I have Poinsettas on the piano already. DD and I are going to hang garland and make snowflakes for her room too. I may put a small tree in there as well (very small) I am so excited!!!

I am super close to being done shopping and wrapping. I am a slow wrapper and like to do it while watching a Christmas movie. I have been going to my parents house (since the house is empty) and wrapping there. If I can figure out what to get my oldest DS it would help!!

I did not see any physical violence, but did have to listen to one lady run her mouth about how much stuff we had checking out and it was ridiculous..... I just looked at her but still what business is it of hers. My DD was shocked that she was being really hateful. I told DD the woman must need a nap because she was so grumpy!!

My DD is 8. I think because she watches very little TV she has not asked for some of the more popular toys. She wants a Wii, a DS, Liv Dolls, Password Journal, a pottery wheel, Barbie fashion design tote, boots, tie dye (to make), horse figures, More Barbies and Barbie clothes, a Barbie washer and dryer set, smaller pillow pets, a new chair or bean bag, and a ton of other stuff (she made a huge list after visiting TRU and Target) She is not getting everything on her list, but I know she will be happy with her Wii and because my boss bought new computers for the business I was able to get her a used desktop ( had to buy new monitor and speakers). I need to buy the desk for it and it will be ready to set up.

I did not do toothbrushes one year in the stocking and mine were disappointed!!

I took DD8 and it was a last minute decision. However, she did great and wants to go next year too. I did make her take a nap before we left and that helped. She lasted until about 6:30 and then fell asleep in DS's car. DD and DSIL took their baby. DSIL carried her in one fo those things that hold her next to his chest. She slept all night except for diaper changes and feedings. DD said she wouldn't take her next year because she doesn't thin she'd sleep as well as she did this year. The also did not wait out in the cold but went in after stores were open. I really think it depends on the child and the parent. If DD8 had gotten to tired or was not having a good time with us, I would have brought her home and missed a few deals. I was willing.
