I am fortunate that when my oldest ones were growing up and my youngest at the time was turning 12 that we had a surprise blessing!! ( my youngest DD who is now 9) She is still into the toys but now I have the 3 grandbabies and 2 more on the way to shop for too.

Thanks for the responses. Mom and I were talking today and (I hope she has this wrong) she said my brother and his wife are getting him an I-phone for his birthday!! He will be 3!! I said mom you mean an I pod or an I pad but she insist they said I phone. I am going to have to ask them because that would be really strange in my opinion. If they are getting him any of those the kid type tablet is not going to happen.

My mom wants to get my nephew a tablet (3 years old this Christmas) All she said is I want it to have Angry Birds on it. I have been researching and I like the Nabi 2 and the Kurio. Does anyone have thoughts on these 2 tablets for kids. Any other ones I should consider?? TIA

In looking back through the old ads on BF, Razor scooters are on sale. Not sure if there will be a better deal but find out the return policy and see if it's worth taking a chance and hold on to your receipt. Do your kiddos have a preference? Good luck on finding the best deal!!

School clearance is strange, some stuff at 70% other stuff is holding at 30%. Did find women's socks for 70% off though.

Stockings are almost finished, just need candy and gum. I also got dd9 a few more things off her list that I did not think I would find cheaper on BF. Mom and I went through everything I have put away this past year and I have all the teachers and friends done. I still have plenty to get between now and Christmas but no one else has given me a list. Well, my oldest DD did say she wanted some kind of mop from Bed bath & beyond!!!

Oldest DD just call she found a Liv girls hair salon for 50% off. My youngest will be thrilled. Still have not found a lava lamp yet, that is a goal for this weekend!!!

I want to get one of my DDIL's a tablet this year, either the Kindle Fire or the Nook Tablet. I am okay with refurbished if it comes from somewhere that is well known or recommended. I would like to stay at the 150 dollar range. I got a nook color refurbished last year for another DDIL( she asked for the nook) and she is still happy with it. Here are my questions. Which one is better for books, movies, playing games, searching the web? Which one has better storage and battery life? What is the difference in the Kindle Fire and the Kindle Fire HD? (simply as possible) Is there another tablet I should consider with Black Friday sales approaching?

I need the number for the lava lamps, I have not found any here so I want to triple check.

I have not seen any markdowns in School supplies in The Chesapeake VA Targets... am I missing something??? Kids started back to school the day after Labor Day.

My oldest DD is expecting but she is not due until March 20th and my DDIL is due toward the end of January. I think they both plan to go out for BF but time will tell for sure. I am just excited to be getting 2 more grandbabies!! These will be grandbabies 4 & 5!!

I try to stick to a budget and the amount of gifts depend on the budget. Most of my kids are grown and married. I have one dd9 still at home and I have 3 grandbabies this year (2 more by next year) I set the budget oer person according to how much I have saved up throughout the year. I do buy clearance throughout the year especially for stockings, friend's gifts and those items I know for sure a family member will want. I am most tempted to go overboard with DD9 but I have to be able to pay cash so that stops a lot of my temptations!!! I think the 4 gift idea sounds great as long as the item they want does not blow the budget!!

I founds lots of pink circles but no orange triangles. I did not think to scan the stars in case they were wrong on the shape. I found lots of stocking stuffers so I was happy. I also found lots of stickers and craft items I could use in my Sunday school class. I will not run out of stickers for a very long time!!!

I was in Target last night to look at the clearance in the dollar spot. I walked around the store and noticed the "sale items" most of what I saw was barely discounted especially in toys. The difference between the regular price and the sale price was between 50 cent top 90 cents. I like to shop at Target but I will spend my money where I can get the best price on the items I want to buy.

Thanks for the heads up on lava lamps, I will look for them, DD would love one and so would another family member.
