I have a 9yr old DD too. She needs a new bike because she has gotten so tall this year. She has asked for an a basketball goal and ball. She loves crafts and I have thought about getting her some tools, beads, etc to make jewelry. A new game for her Wii, clothes, boots, lego friends sets, and many other things are on her list. I am sure your girls will come up with a list of other things soon too

Kanyon71 this website is great year round for finding good deals. Its great to have the ads before Thanksgiving Day. I found many deals last year online thanks to GottaDeal.com Hope you finish before Christmas Eve this year!!!

This year has gone by really fast too (at least for me). It seems that I only get to really shop on Saturdays. I do get to run in to Target or Kohls in the morning sometimes in between dropping dd off at school and getting to work so that helps some. I was looking at the calendar and realized that if I only shop 1 day a week between now and Christmas I only have 17 days to shop!!! I think online shopping will be my friend this year.

DH has never gone. When the kids were younger he kept them home. But most are grown and love to go and my DD9 went last and loved it. She was really fun to have along. (with our large family spread out through different stores I am able to shop for her too). My co workers have no desire to go and they tease me about memorizing the ads but they give me money so I can pick up stuff for them (if possible) My MIL always ask if there is anything on the kids list that I can pick up for her too.

Got 1 more Christmas present done this morning. It will be a family gift for oldest DD and her DH. They are getting a house, and DD has been saying she really wants an above ground pool. I found a 18ft by 48in pool this morning Reg 499.99 for 149.99. They only had the one in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake VA but you may want to check your Target if you have been wanting a pool. The 16ft was not even on clearance yet.

I have a few things put away for teachers and close friends. I also got quite a bit for the grandkids at the Target toy clearance. I have started to really price things that dd9 is asking for trying to figure out how to stretch the budget dollars as far as I can. My oldest DD is in the process of buying a house, so I am sure she will be easy this year.

My DGS and nephew will both be 3 by Christmas and I think the new radio controlled Thomas the Tank that has blue steam and talks would be something they would like.

My DS lives near Seattle. We were thinking of going for a visit next summer. I looked online and they have a city pass that seems to save about 1/2 the admission fees for certain tourist attractions.

OP I think the Lego Friends sets will be popular too. They seem to disappear fast around here. I am hoping for a sale but I do plan to buy them early. Maybe 1 bigger set a month. I know DD wants a lot of them.

I dont think they opened it last year on BF.

I have checked with my older married kids to be sure they want to be in the name drawings, all of them do but we are lowering the budget, to make it easier, and we are drawing names when my DS and his family visit in Sept. That gives everyone plenty of time to look for deals. My youngest DD came to work with me the other day and started her Christmas list by looking on Disney.com and Amazon.com. Her list is mainly Lego friends sets, Princess Jasmine and others like that, and then wii games. She needs a new bike, she is getting to tall for the one she has. I also want to get DGS (3 by Christmas) a train table set this year.

Infant & Toddler socks are 50% off. I even found some thicker tights for DGD for 50% off too.

I have a Christmas club savings that I put something into every week. I even got a bonus in April that I was able to put away this year. Not sure how much is in there but that will be most of my Christmas shopping money.

DD9 has already asked if she can go with me again this year. She did great last time so I'll predict a fun day shopping for us. ( I am also hoping Lego Friends go on sale sometime her list is full of different sets!!!)

I feel sorry for the employees if it turns out to be true. Personally I wish they would wait. DD says it should be called "Gray Thursday"

Found lots of things 70% off. I will list later. If you are in the Chesapeake area it is worth the trip.

Strollers were back on the floor today. They are still 50% off and in a different location but at least now I have a chance!!

I checked 2 stores today, I won't be able to get to the othere 2 until Saturday.

Was disappointed this morning. Last Monday a few of the baby strollers went 50%. When I went today the whole section was cleared out. I really wanted one for my DDIL who is expecting in Jan 2013. Toys were all moved to the endcaps (at least most) but no special aisle like last year. Hopefully I will catch toys at 70%. My mom is going to a different Target here in Chesapeake, VA to check the strollers and toys there.

Lots of baby stuff went 50 to 70 % off today.
