  1. Seriously...the Bakugons have been STUCK at 50% off forever. I was SURE they would mark down today and no luck. ### GE Compact Florescent packs of 3 large spot lights or 8 regular lightbulbs: $2.48 (75%) Used $1/1 coupons from an insert and got them for $1.48!
  2. Thanks to everyone who posted about bulk items today. I got the fruit cups and Ranch dressing (both of which we go through a lot of here). A few things I haven't seen mentioned: ### Flintstone Vitamins (HUGE): $7.50 (used a $1/1 that used to be on Coupons.com) ### CapriSun (package with 4 10 packs): $3.58 I also saw that the two toys from the Great Save are 75% off: ### "Nerf" gun (I don't think it's Nerf brand) set: $3.74 ### Mr. Potato Head set: $4.XX One more random find not related to the Great Save...I found a Sara Lee pumpkin pie yesterday for $1.67 (75% off). It's baking right now!
  3. GAH! This alone is making me want to run to the store. I may have to go this afternoon.
  4. Woo! Found the Crayola sets from the Bulk Section at 75% off! ### Crayola "Tub of Fun": $2.48 (75% off) ### Crayola Pip Squeaks Large Set: $2.48 (75% off) ### Early Reader "Cars" Christmas book: $.88 (75% off) Also saw but didn't buy: ### Sharpie set of 8 all black: $2.xx (75% off) ### Pack of 10 spiral notebooks: ~$.88 (75% off) ### Pack of lined refill paper: ~$.88 I scanned a bunch of other things from the bulk section (food items, health care) and all were priced as marked, which was 15-30% off.
  5. I searched high and low for a free shipping promo with no luck. I don't want to pay the $6 shipping, but I would love a few pair of these! What to do, what to do...
  6. I didn't make it to Target at all over the weekend to check for the 90% off V-Day, but went this morning and there was NOTHING. All gone. I did find a Yo Gabba Gabba Valentine's Day book (it even had removable valentine's in the back). It rang up full price, but I talked him into giving it to me for 90% off. Not sure if it was supposed to be or not, but it was VERY clearly a V-Day book and I've seen other books in the V-Day section, so who knows. Found the Hefty...thanks for the tip on that one! There are tons of good deals using Target coupons right now...I put them on my blog, but don't want to take up space here since they aren't technically perimeter perusing finds. I'm waiting and waiting for bulk to go down to 50% off. Anyone know what day they mark those seasonal sections down? My stores have the stuff spread out all over now, so will they just mark down certain items along with the rest of that section? (So, they would mark the bulk food down when the mark the other food down, and the bulk health/beauty down when they do that section and so on).
  7. kguthrie...I see now that you are in Shawnee...which store were you at when this happened? I'm in KC, too...I usually shop Ward Parkway and the Mission store. Ward Parkway employees never know anything about clearance (and they are the ones that I always see taking the clearance items for themselves), but I've found some pretty friendly/knowledgable employees at the Mission store. But it all depends on who you get. I'm wondering if any KC area stores went to 90% today. I couldn't make it out, but if the snow/sleet/rain/blah isn't too bad I may try tomorrow. There isn't too much I want/need but I'd love to find some of the things I got at 75% off at the better price!
  8. Lesson learned...NEVER believe what an employee tells you is "going" to happen. They have no idea in almost all cases and I think some of them just make stuff up to throw you off so THEY can grab the merchandise when it does get marked down. Trust me, that has happened to me before. Target doesn't have to honor what any employee says to you, so if it's marked at 75% off and scans at 75% off, then that is what you will pay. It sucks that you were treated rudely and I would have been mad, too, but at least now you know that in the future, never ever believe what a random employee says to you about clearance. PS...Holiday clearance doesn't have to be individually marked down, so my guess is that if it wasn't already ringing up at 90% off, it is NOT going to be marked down today. I'm pretty sure it's just a one key press for the manager/markdown team, and they almost always do it before the store opens in my experience. Sorry about your experience!
  9. V-Day was 75% at both of my stores (Mission & Ward Pkwy). Selection was WAY better at Ward Pkway. Got some girls leggings/t-shirts for $1.49 each. Assorted other things including a box of red sparkly Solo flatware for $.74. Ralph Lauren shirts were 75% off ($5.48) but still marked at 50% off.
  10. Got some GOOD deals today! The plain kids t-shirts that used to be in the bulk section were marked at $1.50 (on a rack in the boys section). I got to the register and they rang up $.75! Woo! So I went back after I paid to get more in every size to save and went back to the same cashier. These shirts rang up $1.50! We looked over my receipt and found that two colors in the size small rang up $.75, but one color was $1.50 and all of the larger sizes were $1.50. Weird. So, anyway, I at least got a bunch of small t-shirts for $.75 each! Also saw hoodies for $1.50, but those were picked over and couldn't find the sizes I needed. Also found some Tide Free for $5.xx (50% off). Used a couple of coupons and got it for $3.xx and got a FREE Tide Stain Release (coupon from the 2/7 P&G). I also picked up a few things from the bulk section at 30% off. Not rock-bottom prices, but cheaper than I could normally find them, so I bit. V-Day still 50% off as expected. Anyone have an idea when all of the Backugan toys will go 75% off? Maybe this Wed/Thurs?
  11. TONS of stuff in the bulk section 15-30% off. And yet some stuff still full price...seems totally random since the Up&Up gallon size plastic bags were 30% off and the sandwich size were full price. And some of the stuff back there has just disappeared. Hoping that some of the food/home stuff back there will make it to 50% off, but not holding my breath!
  12. I did a round today and the only thing I found that was less than it was last time I checked were some kids clothing that went from 50 to 75%. Specifically, the girls dance leotards, which I was hoping to snag! ### Girls dance leotard 75% off: $4.24 There were a lot of new toy markdowns at 30% off...Backugan sets, a big transformer set, and lots of GI Joe. Still waiting for bed/bath to get to 75% off here. There is even some at 30% off still.
  13. Got two of the bigger Star Wars tents for $9.98 each, used a $5/$20 Star Wars coupon and got them both for $15! Also found two GI Joe sets in toys that were not part of the original toy clearance for $6.24 (75% off). I'm sad that I didn't get my tent/telescope...they were gone! ### Star Wars large play tent: $9.98 ### Gi Joe "Past/Present" sets: $6.24
  14. Found smaller Baby items at 75% off today: ### Johnson & Johnson Buddies conditioner: $1.44 (50%) -$1/1 J&J "any baby toiletry" coupon =$.44 each ### Playtex sippy cups (2 pack): $1.84 (75%) Larger items were still 50% off, but were across the store near the toys...they may have eventually marked them today, but I am not in the market, so I didn't wait around. Also, my Converse shoes (purple suede women's) went 75% off, too. ### Purple Suede Women's Converse: 9.48 (75%) Lastly, I'm afraid they will be salvaging the toys soon. I found the Barbie laptop sitting in the 75% off section (with lots of Fur Real Elephants!) and scanned it. It was still ringing at $12.48 (50%), but I asked a markdown lady who was nearby to check it and she scanned it and said, "It's salvaged, you can't buy it." My daughter was with me and was going to throw a fit if the lady took it back, so I asked her if I could ask the manager to sell it to me and she gave it back. The cashier gave it to me at 75% off since I told her that it was on the 75% off shelf (which it was), but she had to over-ride the price. I found that odd that it would be salvaged since it never went to 75% off. Camping was still 50% off.
  15. Does everyone else have like 10-15 of those Fur Real elephants in their toy section? Poor things...won't even sell at 75% off!
  16. If anyone sees that the Women's shoes go to 75%, can you post? Because I really want those purple Converse and they are still 50% at both of my stores. (Around $18.xx). A smattering of the kids shoes were 75% off last week and all of the Converse ones are still 50% off.
  17. Hey...thanks to whomever returned the Tinkerbell Set and the Toy Story Fold-Out Play Set to the Ward Pkwy store! (Probably wasn't someone here, but you never know!) I was SUPER excited to see those on the shelf this morning...they were on my list and long gone by time my stores got to 75% off! Keep checking the toys...returns are rolling in!
  18. I loved it! Got 11 items for $18...including jeans, sweaters, a jacket, hats/mittens. There were heavy coats for less than $5...but I already have those for my kids for next year so I left them for some other lucky person!
  19. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_WPQ-5o6JIsQ/S1CdCiiKS0I/AAAAAAAABYE/rUZQZbamdeA/s320/Target+Loot.JPG Here's my photo! I already posted the list. I love seeing everyone's photos!
  20. I know...there was a ton of Barbie stuff at one store that was all just 50% off.
  21. Ward Parkway was 75% this morning and there was still at lot left. Only me and one other nice lady shopping around 8:30-9:00. I saw one Lego set and it was still just 50% off. (I even had a markdown person scan it to check). There was a Step 2 kitchen, but I am not in the market. Here is what I got between yesterday and today! Sorry no DCPI numbers...if want a specific one let me know! ### Lionel Christmas Story Train Set: $34.98 ### GI Joe set: $4.98 ### Nascar Semi: $4.98 ### My Little Pony Small Sets: $1.72 ### Little People Wedding Set: $4.48 ### The Princess and the Frog set of Frogs: $5.48 ### Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Set: $8.52 (This was my FAVORITE find!) ### Small PJ Sparkles: $1.48 ### Baby Doll: $3.74 ### Sleeping Dog (like Fur Real): $8.72 ### Cinderella Doll: $3.57 ### Ramp for Tiny Skateboards: $3.74 ### Hot Wheels Race Track Set: $7.48 ### Hot Wheels Small Hummer: $.64 ### Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 DVD/Car Sets: $1.48 ### Cars Mater Racetrack Set: $6.24 ### Nascar Helmet Racer: $2.48 ### Geo Trax Train Set: $7.48 ### Tag Junior Book: $2.74 (-$4/1 Coupon from coupons.com...FREE!) ### Tag Book: $3.48 (-$4/1 coupon from Parade magazine...FREE!) ### Tag Alphabet Mat: $3.48 ### Doll House Piano: $2.98 ### Strawberry Shortcake: $1.48 ### Parents Baby Toy (some kind of bug): $8.74 ### Matchbox Taxi Set: $3.74 ### Ni Hao Kai Lan Game: $3.24
  22. Mission Target in KC was at 75% off...didn't get there until 11:00 and it was cleared out...almost everything I wanted was gone! Hoping for Ward Pkway tomorrow morning. But based on the experience I had this morning, I have little hope that the "good" things will still be there. When I got there today (the first one in the store), I went straight to toys, saw no activity and things still marked at 50% off and immediately went to kitchen to see if I could find a pots/pans set. It could not have been a minute after the store opened. There I found a guy with a cart FULL of marked down kitchen/housewares stuff. FULL. There is no way he could have filled that cart in 1 minute. Then I see him talking to an employee and they were kind of grabbing more stuff together for this cart. The Target employee clearly had filled the cart with stuff for this guy before the store opened. There were two pots/pans sets in his cart as well as a ton of other smaller items. The Target employee then walked with the guy to another area and they began putting more things in the cart. (The guy was on the markdown team...I saw him later when I went back to check on the toys again and he was working a markdown cart). This is the second time in two weeks that I have dealt with Target employees snagging the good deals before the customers have a chance. I'm pretty much convinced that I will show up tomorrow first thing and all of the larger items will be pre-loaded into a cart for someone else. And again, I want to say that I think that Target employees should get a chance at the good deals, too, but I don't agree with them snagging all of the good deals before the store even opens. The other store I went to this morning at about 11:00 had a bunch of Target employees shopping the section on their breaks. I'm ALL for that. But I think that they should make employees wait until after the store opens and give paying customers a chance first. Gah...vent over!
  23. No-go at Ward Parkway in KC. Still 30-50% off and virtually no activity. I asked a guy who was clearing an endcap and he said they are not marking today.
  24. They are long fleece pjs with feet...like a baby sleeper, but for big kids! They had penguins, skulls, and a space themed one at my store.
  25. Checked the Mission Target in KC and they are still 30-50%. Found TONS of great deals in shoes, though...all 75% off. ### Girls silver ballet Flats: $3.74 ### Girls Red patent "leather" flats: $3.74 ### Boys navy tennis shoes: $4.74 Also found the boys footed fleece pajamas for $3.24. These are still marked at $9.08 at this store, but scan for $3.24!
