  1. Stopped in after work and got a bunch of odds and ends. There were TONS of costumes (like 2 aisles full) left. I'm hoping to score some at 90% off...those $40 ones are still to expensive at 75% off.

Got Polly Pockets for $1.24, Hot Wheels sets for $1.49, Silly String for $.75, a few books for $.99-$1.49, and a cute little skeleton piggy bank for $2.49. Unfortunately there were no paper products or food items to be found. I didn't see any candy other than the little novelty things, but I wasn't really looking for that.

  2. Mission Greatland has lots of those chip bags for $1.49. They are in the regular chip aisle. I got what I could use, but they expire Nov. 16 or Nov 30 depending on the bag you get. A person can only eat so many chips, so there are some more still there. However, I did tell the cashier about it. She was amazed at the price and she was very nice, so I let her in on it. This was about 9 this morning. Hardly much else left though. Some pet shops and stray bags of candy.

Oh, how I wish I could run over there!! My guess is they are probably already long gone, though.

It's KILLING me to be at work while all of the hot clearance deals are being scooped up! Oh, well!

  3. The Ward Parkway store has 50% off clearance again and LOTS of good stuff! So much in season stuff, which is nice! Here is what I got:

The best deal of the bunch was a Men's Frost Free Jacket for $8.28! Other deals:

    Women's brown cord jacket: $7.85

Star Wars Graphic Long Sleeve Tee: $4.03

    Striped cotton dress: $5.94

    Women's Ruffle Tank: $2.97

    Women's Black Toggle Capelet: $5.52

Two pair of boys pajamas: $4.45 each

I also used my Gap Card 15% off coupon, so those prices reflect that extra 15% off. But some good stuff! They even had Superman costumes for $5 after the discount...why didn't I get one of those? May have to go back tomorrow!

  4. ###Paper goods (paper plates, party plates/napkins, wrapping paper, gift bags, etc)...all 75% off. Including some Disney Princess plates, Transformers, and Tinkerbell party items.

Lots of kitchen stuff at 50% off, including one lonely KitchenAid mixer. Wouldn't that be nice if it went to 75% off and the employees didn't take it for themselves? (This is the store where I've witnessed that before).

The swimming goggles, etc. were still 50% off as of last Wednesday here. There were TONS. I read here that they were 75% off at other stores, so I assume they went to 75% off late last week, but the weird thing is that it was ALL gone today. Not one single stray pair of goggles left. Did everyone else see these at 75% off or do you think they got salvaged? The pool TOYS sat at my store for WEEKS at 75% off...there was a ton left. So I don't feel like these goggles would have sold out in 5 days. Eh...weird.

  5. even more strange things happened with ereaders... they were marking down electronics when i was there.. i asked if they can check the ereaders... they said check back in 30 mins we'll be done with markdowns here....after 30 mins all the 3 ereaders were gone...

This is why I've been known to just stand there at the end of the aisle waiting for them to scan the things I'm waiting on. It's awkward and boring and obviously not really possible if you have your kids with you, but if it's a REALLY hot item, then it is worth it b/c they have to be pretty ballsy to stash it for themselves if you are standing right there. But turn your back and you know that hot deal is going to be in their cart under some clearance signs.

Obviously not all markdown employees are like that...one store I go to has the BEST team that actually helped me find things and pointed out hot items to me during the toy clearance. But my other store is terrible...I saw an employee fill a cart with kitchen markdowns at 75% off and then his buddy came and picked up that cart from him and took it straight to the register.

  6. This Saturday Old Navy will have a One Day Wonder sale on jackets for the family...only $16 each! It's in store only, limit 5 per customer.

Depending on what is included, this could be a pretty good sale! I'm intrigued that the original prices are $29.50-$49.50...whatever that $49.50 jacket is will be pretty heavily discounted.

ON is also having their 16th "Birthday" this weekend so there will probably be more deals/coupons/contests to come!

PS...I just saw a commercial for this and it looks like the "Frost Free" jackets/coats may be included...that is a STEAL for one of those coats!!

  7. Would anyone be willing to check on something for me? The Star Wars Sheet Sets (in the kids bedding area) Full Size sets were marked as $7.27 REGULAR price on the shelf. I feel like it was a mistake, but they were all out at my store. I really wanted these sheets even if they were going to be regular price ($19.xx) because they are for my son's birthday. If anyone is going to Target, would you be willing to check if your store a. has these for $7.27 and b. has them in stock? I will pay you for them and for shipping if you are able to get a set! (If they are $19 I will pass and get them elsewhere without having to pay shipping).

    It's these: http://www.target.com/Star-Wars-Clone-Sheet-Set/dp/B001HTJQYY/ref=sc_qi_detaillink

    Thanks!!

  8. My store had 3 employees working the dollar section on Sunday morning. They "quarantined" every single brown dot item into one little section and were putting out all new Halloween items. I can see how it would have been easy for them to just go in this morning and clear out all of the brown dot stuff in one big swoop. I guess it depends on how organized your store is...this store happens to have a VERY well organized dollar section.

It is weird that every single item would be gone (there are always some stragglers, right?) But I think that since they were basically completely resetting the entire area for Halloween, they had to do the sorting before they salvaged.

  9. Dollar Spot 75% off...got lots of school workbooks. Also got some Cars baggies, Princess sandwhich holder, dinosaur putty, and some Iron Man stickers.

My Mom was with me and got one of those gazebo/shade things for $32.xx (from the garden section). Originally $129.99

Pool toys were FINALLY 75% off...picked up a couple, but the goggles/snorkels/etc are still just 30% off. Oh, my favorite find in the pool toy are were the extra large "Max Liquidator" water guns for $2.48. Those babies were $15 earlier this year!

Snuggies were just 30% off at my store...$10.48.
