  1. I went in today and price adjusted the Cricut Create and jukebox getting $230 back!!! They said they were SWAMPED on Thanksgiving Day and sold out of all Cricut stuff. I was so glad I did this and Price adjusting was NO problem!
  2. I was the 2nd person in our Gymboree and it was such a joke. There were two ladies that had BAGS and BAGS of stuff (including coats) on hold in the back room. They had them brought forward so they beat me in line to check out (as they went straight to the register) There were 2 coats when I got there. 2!!! I bought them both but ended up getting much better coats at The Children's Place for only a few dollars more. Gymboree had very little on sale or in red bins.
  3. I tried to price adjust one of the hoodies and they wouldn't as it still rang up at $20. Darn, I wonder if that is why, they were already sold out by then. I was just going to return it now, nothing else I can do. But I am going to go check my receipts!
  4. Dh had ordered already (I sent the eCertificate to his email address so it looked like it was a gift) I had him call and say he had this coupon code now and they price adjusted it, crediting him approx $40. They say all over their site We Will Not Be Undersold and give 45 days for price adjusting. The gift certificate is NOT a coupon. I would be livid if that was not followed through on, you can't put limits on gift cards as they are gifts given to someone... I am going to be sure to check on this to see if the credit was processed.
  5. I didn't get a 20% off, but if you CALL them and say you received an email that said to check prices with code MFBF they will give you a different price... ours was 12% off on the amp. Frustrated as DH just ordered without looking into this at all... but am going to try to price adjust.
  6. Ok, sleep helped clear the fog of my mind here... When you make your order it will ask for the Promo Code and when you put this in it says it isn't correct... that is because this is a Coupon Code not a Promo Code. Go to the next step, enter all of your name, address, etc... info and THEN it will ask for a Coupon Code and you can put in CR20 (CR30 doesn't work... but it was worth a shot!) and it takes the 20% off, it does this before you enter your CC info. WooHoo! I ordered it but it has not (in the 5 minutes since I ordered it) came through. I am crossing my fingers! It did say that the total was $300 and I was billed $240 (minus the 20%) so this worked for that at least... I wanted to give it time to go through before tomorrow. There was a generic statement that said some things may take 24 hours to process... We are heading out for turkey time now but will update when I return tonight.
  7. But this is for the online sale which is 1am-4pm
  8. Ugggg, I tried it too and it says code is invalid or expired!!! I put in $300 so it wasn't that your amount was too small. I tried live chat JIC, but it was off. I am going to try again tomorrow and on Friday they should have customer service available on Friday and that is the day it SHOULD be on sale too... But I am very frustrated!
  9. My main concern is that he is breastfed and it is hard on both of us to be away for that reason... But, he is getting better at sleeping at night and a lot of my time away will be his sleeping time anyways. I am leaning towards not taking him too... Thanks for your tips. It will be just me, so no help when he poops, is hungry, cries, etc...
  10. I think I will do this in the morning (want to be 100% sure with DH he is getting this from there) If I can't use them on BF, the sale then is to be 20% off and the gift card is 20% off, so I am not out anything. If it works, than happy dance for me!!! Honestly though, I am still so SUPER excited I was able to talk him into re-searching for an amp... that move alone saved $350! I called the store as their hours state they are open until 11pm PT but they are closed (not surprised) and they said they will open at 8am PT "the day after the holiday" Is that Thanksgiving then? (the holiday) It was weird how they wouldn't say a day, just the day after the holiday... I am half tempted to try CR30 to see if I get 30% off though first! LOL Been around the Kohls codes too long!
  11. Oh hot diggity!!! Can you see any reason why it wouldn't work to buy the gift cards at 20% off and then use them to buy merchandise for the 20% off on Friday? I would order them as ecertificates so I got the code in time... Even better, hubby first wanted $700 worth of merchandise and now I have him cut down to $350... This will really help bring that down to a level that I don't mind!
  12. 20% off of gift card purchases or on merchandise purchases? Ooooh, let it be gift cards!!!
  13. First stop is definately the mall that opens at midnight... it is just the parts that come afterwards that I am still not 100% on. I am thinking WM, Menards, Kohls, Target? Who knows. That could still change Friday morning too!
  14. There is no one in line here yet, but it is 33 degrees and supposed to get colder. I was thinking about how I would definately NOT want to be out right now!!! But I was in picking up something at Site to Store at WM tonight and could see tons of bikes hanging from the ceiling, sweatshirts, winter coats (HUNDREDS of them) etc... packed tight in the back room. No maps available yet, no real information I could get out of them.
  15. I have debated seriously taking my 4 month old with me, I go back and forth. I am starting at a mall that opens at midnight. I want his stroller with me (I have a double) and he'll most likely sleep... but he would definately be in the way at stores like WalMart etc... and don't want to mess with dropping him off between the mall and those stores. I do have a big open mesh bag (like a beach bag) so you can see everything in it... perhaps I will take it. I hadn't thought of that before. They are BIG I use them to take my shipping to the post office from eBay.
  16. I got this email today saying that you can buy gift cards at Musician's Friend for 10% off ends Friday at 11:59 PT. The code is CR10 and you can have them delivered by mail or e-mail. So, I am planning on doing this to e-mail and then using them on BF which is when they are to have 20% off store wide. You guys are quite the detectives in this type of thing... Before I do this (I want to purchase about $350 in merchandise that day) I wanted to run it by my people (as DH refers to you all ) It says "A Musician's Friend Gift Certificate is the no-guesswork gift that'll please every musician on your list. Plus, for 3 days only you save 10%, the gift recipient gets the full value! Whether you choose an electronic or traditional paper Gift Certificate, you'll save 10% on every one you order between Wednesday, November 26 and 11:59 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008. Just enter Coupon Code CR10 on the Secure Checkout page to bag your savings. It's like getting free money!" www.musiciansfriend.com but they don't discuss it on the website anywhere I have noticed.
  17. It charges me 11.99, what else is in your cart?
  18. I am trying to think of the right storage container... I was thinking of a rubbermaid style 3 drawer system or just one tub with them all mixed... I mean I KNOW they won't keep them seperate anyways. Hmmmmm Let me know if you come up with a great idea!
  19. I just got these today. I am impressed! The logs aren't plastic. In fact, the only plastic was the packaging, the roof pieces are wood, the chimneys are wood, etc... There are a lot of bigger logs too, I hate it when you only have the little small logs. I bought 2 sets and think I'll keep both for my boys (thought I could give one set to nephew) I think it'd be fun to build with a ton of them for my boys and my SIL might not like me giving her child a 700 piece set! It is not packaged nicely, in fact some of the logs were loose in the shipping box having broken out of their bag AND box! But I will just figure out whatever we are going to store them in and put them in it anyways. I also got this pit crew set http://www.etoys.com/Pit-Crew-Air-Co...7/INstock/Y/D/ It is cute. Not heavyweight toy but cute and when you squeeze one of the tools it lights up and spins the silver glitter inside. Nephew will LOVE this. The air compressor opens up to store the tools inside.
  20. I think a lot of people don't have access to the deals we find on here too (silly people!!! They need to join) so these sales seem better to them than they do to us.
  21. When I started doing BF (approx 10 years ago) I could go to Staples whenever they opened, walk right in and get whatever I wanted. Now??? Last time I went to Staples the line had been overnight and there was a fight over blank CDs... So I do miss "the good ole days"
  22. WalMart carries a lot of these. Here in Iowa we have ISU, U of I, and UNI shirts at WalMart. You could always call...
  23. DH doesn't do Xmas. I mean he will open presents but he won't let me tell him ANYONE's presents and he doesn't get them. I did have to convince him to let me get a Wii for the kids since he was completely opposed to it before. So, I even do my own stocking. It is the only way I get something. I often times take things I already own so I have more in it. No one notices if I already had that bottle of nail polish for example. I am planning on buying lottery tickets for all of our stockings this year, but have to remember! I usually go for practical, gum, candy, I got DH some small books that will fit in and a handheld little game thing (some puzzle type, I actually forgot by now)
  24. $50!!! Wow, I was a teacher before staying home with my kids and the most I ever got was an ornament! My cousins wife is a teacher in San Diego though and she gets $100 avg from each kid! Our school district has a policy that no gift more than $3. They send notes about it over and over and the teachers aren't allowed to accept them. I got cute ornaments from the hospital my son is a patient for. They were more than $3 but I consider that a donation to the hospital with the ornament for free... A cheap present we made one year though was to take a straight vase and hot glue sharpened pencils standing eraser down all around it and tied a ribbon around. It was cute. The teacher gushed and gushed about it and used it to keep rulers in at school...
