  1. There is a game there that is a 2 in 1 pack Shrek & Madagascar. When I added them to my cart it said they were part of a 2 for $25 deal. No matter what I couldn't get it to work though. I ended up putting 4 in my cart. That gave me 2 for $25, 1 for $11.99 (40% off) & 1 @ full price. I will return the extras. I tried customer service but she was not any help. It sounds like their site is experiencing major issues. I really wanted the 2 in 1 pack as they're games my boys play against each other so I got 2 of them, making each game approximately $6.
  2. Phew, I've read through every post & learned a lot. Before starting in really couldn't figure out the point of a tablet. My 14 yo ds made fun of me & said it's like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory trying to learn about sarcasm. It seems to me that it's like a large smart phone without the phone. I am looking for something for my 11 yo ds. I just was looking for an ereader & was interested in the $40 Nook on BF (if memory serves its @ Sears) However, some in here significantly prefer the Kindle options. I didn't want him having apps. He has a DS & I want to know he's reading if he has his tablet. Plus, we don't even have internet at our house as we're out in the sticks. Is a tablet better so I can get both the Kindle & Nook apps or is that really overkill if I only want it for reading? I have 4 boys & really am not looking to buy each a tablet. However, if one gets something to play games I'll be the least popular person on earth with the other 3!

    Menards

We got our paper yesterday with the Menards ad. But it's last week's ad! Uggggggggggg. Torture!
  4. I bought it, paid for shipping, then called customer service. They said it should be free shipping & will refund the shipping charges. I have to wait until it ships but have it noted on my account & a case number. It also is free in store pickup. Thanks for the deal!
  5. This says free shipping but when I get it to check out it adds $2.99 shipping! Uggggggggggg.
  6. We have US Cellular but the reception here is so terrible we are switching to Verizon. We have the S3 and I hate to have to buy new ones to switch companies. I'm waiting for BF in case there is a good data deal.
  7. This ad actually has more in it that I want than any other adhesive yet!
  8. I tried, it says the items don't qualify for that code. It is yellow dot clearance & they say no coupons work on yellow dot clearance.
  9. As a mom of 4 boys I am reading this list intently. Mine are 14, 10, 8, & 4. I like the toolbox idea, my 14 yo is totally into things he can take when he moves out. I bought him a desk & bookshelves he can take for his birthday. 2 years ago in let him pick furniture in the IKEA catalog & got him a bookshelf. Another son picked a nightstand. My eldest likes clothes from Hot Topic (mostly tshirts) & Axe products. My tip, it's much harder to put on too much body wash vs the body spray + it encourages him to shower! He collects mugs (no idea why) & hats. I'll get him something to display his hats this time & likely another mug. I pick up video games here & there and good mechanical pencils, pens, etc... This year he wants an ipod nano & a laptop. He also decided to start fishing & wants great fishing gear. He's saving to buy a car, and now he wants to be an exchange student so he's looking for cash for that too.
  10. I agree, write a list for each ad including the times the prices are valid. Some stores, including WalMart will honor other stores prices if you have the ad for the store and are there at the right time. Some stores, like Target, will adjust your receipt if you purchased from there in the previous week. Then, prioritize. If you want the super cheap tv or computer that people wait in line for a day for, you may not get other things from other stores because you won't get there in time. Only you can decide what is worth it and what isn't. Be aware, a few people will be crazy. They forget any semblance of manners. Usually they are not where you'd expect. It seems towels & sheets at Walmart are a great place to find the craziest ones! Your experience will be dictated by your attitude more than your purchases. Enjoy, you are likely to be addicted!
  11. I've done this. The stuff I usually get at Target isn't crucial enough to me to put it near the top of my shopping list. If I couldn't get the items in advance & price adjust, I just wouldn't get them. On occasion some of their items aren't available in advance (especially some DVDs)
  12. I'm interested in the foosball & air hockey tables. I am curious to the quality level. Thanks for the posting!
  13. I'm waiting too. We're going to switch to Verizon so decided it was worth waiting until BF in case there is a good deal. I've heard their special deals are usually more on the plans than the phones.
  14. They have a red dremel attachments set for $9.99. They had this last year too. It made a great present. It looked like it cost much more than $10. My dad & husband both liked theirs. I'm somewhat interested in the outdoor clock/thermometer, so I may try to pick that up.
  15. I went in to one of the stores and asked about pricing. Holy cow their monthly plans are significantly higher than USCellular. At least the invidual plan. My husband doesn't want to switch, he likes what we have and he doesn't use his phone at home often. IDK, I'm still dealing with USCellular for now but I am not a happy customer.
  16. We have friends with Verizon that used it here. Our construction manager when we built out here a year and a half ago had Verizon. My service works on some days and not on others. No rhyme or reason. I'm nervous to switch, sign a contract, & be stuck. However, Verizon let's you out of contract for 1st 14 days. I can't handle this dropping calls and not being able to call out sometimes any longer. But I worry about not getting the best deal! LOL
  17. I've been with USCellular for about 6 years. Our house seems to be in a dead zone for them. I've used up all ideas and today 2 different employees told me I should find a different company. We're looking at going to Verizon. Is there a good or bad time to switch? Any special deals coming or way to get a better deal? IPhone vs Android opinions? Thanks
  18. There are 3 of the Dodge Charger police car Power Wheels style kids ride on toys at a target a few towns away. I've been wanting one but they've been marked at 50% off for a long time and I just can't justify the $. I called yesterday to check if they had any left and the price. 3 left, still 50% but thought they'd be marked down this AM. So I drove out there today. They were tagged 50% off but I had an employee check because it was too heavy to take to a scanner. Nope, still 50%. He said to just keep calling, but not likely to happen over the weekend so to try on Monday. They also had some wagons at 50% and the LEGO advent calendar was 50%. I'm waiting on all of these things to go 70%. If they don't, I am ok not getting them. I didn't get any Christmas clearance yet this year except a few things of tissue paper. I wanted some gift wrap and present labels but that all sold out immediately around here, the day after Christmas! I didn't find any at ANY stores! I think inventory around here was much less this year. I'm sure crossing my fingers for that vehicle to go to 70%, but my husband is probably doing the opposite!!!
  19. I always cut these in half and used them for the kids to do their laundry. I almost always use Tide. They work great for the kids because they can't spill laundry detergent this way. Also, if you travel and are going to do laundry, especially if you were going to fly, they are really handy for that. Now I wish I still had Prime. It ended in December. But in a way it is saving me $... I haven't bought anything on Amazon since!
  20. I bought a tree on clearance at Kohls today. Its a pretty one and narrow, yet not narrow enough. I plan to either bend, fold, or if I have to, cut, off some of the lowest (therefor widest) branches so that it fits in my space. It isn't exactly what I wanted, but will work for a few years at least and was much closer to my price point. Its a pretty silver one. I had wanted to buy it before, and looked at several Kohls. Then today, when out of town (and a day after spending $50 in Kohls cash and having the 20% off code) I found one. Ugggg
  21. My husband is having a heart attack about the price, I'm hoping to find a cheaper one... I wonder if just cutting the branches shorter on one side would work. Not all of the way to the halfway point, but part way would make it more slim.
  22. http://www.christmastreesdirectusa.com/7-5-x-60-westbrook-pine-half-tree-1201t.html This is an example of what I am looking for... But as usual, out of stock.
  23. I really want a half tree to put up next year in our dining room. It needs a wide tree because its in front of our front windows and its seen from the street, but I don't have much depth for the tree in the room to keep the furniture there. So, I'd like a half tree. It is fine to be unlit, I can add lights. Not multi colored lights though, if its pre-lit, I need it clear/white. I am fine with a green or silver tree. I've never seen one in a store, so I can't stalk them after the holidays to get them on clearance. Anyone have any ideas on this? Our room has 8 feet ceilings, so I'd like a 7-8 foot tall tree. I am ok if it doesn't fit a topper. Our main tree is in the other room and has our topper on it. Thanks for any help!
  24. I just picked up a pair of shoes for my son, Pilot style. Shipped for $6.80. Thanks!
  25. I got this, thanks! My 3 year old has no wii games and always wants to play his brothers games! Now there will be one just for him!
