  1. I wish it was easy to get someone to buy one and send it to me All but two stores (within 35 mile radius!) sold out of all Leapsters and I bet they'll be sold out by the time I get to look tomorrow Anyone local let me know how much to ship? zip 91761 couldn't hurt to ask...
  2. It's a Child's/Senior ticket that they send you. We got this in addition to our Membership passes last year because we had a friend who wanted to pay less than full price for their child. We sold it to them for $39 and got 6 lego sets (small ones) for the year free :) http://cache.lego.com/2057/images/shop/shop06/LandingPages/BrickMaster%202007/Images/NFG_Coupon_175x163.jpg BTW, they come every other month with the Magazine, not all at once.
  3. I've been to 7 or 8 different stores (as far as Baldwin Park and Glendora) and all have had plenty of Leapsters (minus Diamond Bar store which REMOVED THEM COMPLETELY!!) but for $39.99 still!! argh!
  4. Southern california has the lego store promo nearly every year in the spring until April 30 and they need to be redeemed by June 30. We get this and typically only buy clearance legos to maximize savings even further. We buy $300 worth of legos and get four passes then upgrade two of them to adult (one Plus for the discounts and free ticket and the other regular adult) Oh and you also get a complimentary Sea Life ticket if you buy a Membership and can purchase additional tickets for Sea Life for $9 each (reg. $18 or $19 adults) Its right next door to Legoland and nice to look at but better if you see it at a discount So recap.. we get 4 annual passes (2 kids, 1 adult, 1 adult Plus), 4 complimentary Sea-Life tickets, a complimentary Legoland Ticket, 20% food discount, 10% merch. discount (not valid at lego stores outside the park) and $300 in Lego sets for around $360 MUCH better deal than Disneyland! (Though you do get a lot for your $ at Disney too)
  5. There are lots of deals on ebay for good coupons. (Buy 1 get 1 free plus additional tickets at $32, another is $17 weekday, $26 weekend if you live in los angeles county...some have posted they used these by just saying a LA county zip code and weren't checked) but if you don't want to go that route I suggest buying a Membership Plus pass for at least 1 kid. A pass for kids 3-12 is $115 but it includes free parking (they'll reimburse you parking if you paid prior), a 1 day guest pass that can be used for kids or adults (use it for adult, you'll maximize savings) and 20% discounts on food in the park and 10% on merchandise. If your kids are like most, they'll want some legos from The Big Shop so you'll want to save $$. If you're not too much in a hurry, check out Lego's Brickmaster magazine. It's $39.99 for 1 year but you get 6 lego sets through the mail, a year of lego brickmaster magazines (6 issues) and a complimentary child's ticket. For future visits, check out Lego Stores and ask when they'll be having their Legoland promotion. That's the best for your $$. You get to buy $75 worth of lego products and get a free 1 year child's membership pass ($99 value that is upgradable at the park to the plus pass so you get the extra ticket and discounts for only $15 more!! This is great because you don't need to buy Lego sets when you visit as you already have them at home, thus saving $
  6. Dunno what you're talkin' about.. as we speak Walmart sells a Wii console + Wii Fit Bundle that includes an extra Wii Remote, extra nunchuck, extra battery pack for the Wii Fit, and other goodies for $429.00 (retail price: $444.84) granted it's not much, but it's a discount. They even give the option of getting the Wii Play instead of just the extra Wii Remote for an additional $10 so there's an extra game for fun times. (I know it sells everywhere for the extra $10 but at least they offer it.)
  7. ARGH!!! I went yesterday and they were still $39.99. I went Today after seeing your post and all 8 were GONE! The shelf was wiped clean! Associate said they took them this morning. They never even made it to 75% and there were lots! I hope my other stores don't do this and I'm able to grab at least one.
  8. two different targets yesterday...(Diamond Bar and Mira Loma, CA) and both still $39.99 for Leapsters needed other items so perused around with my kids.. got 4 MP juice packs @ $0.59/ea. ### Hulk for Wii - $12.49 (was $49.99) 75% off ------didn't buy but thought I'd mention this ### Iron Man for Wii - $12.49 (was $49.99) 75% off ### Nexcare Tattoo Bandages - $1.37 (was $2.99) ### 7 Day Pillbox - $3.xx (was $14.99) not bad, but I'm really looking for that leapster!!

  10. go to smartbargains.com in a separate tab, then come back here and click on the link. it seems to be something to do with cookies. (btw, i'm using Google Chrome)
  11. yeah..that's 40 miles away....in SoCal traffic...on a friday... Wish I could make the trip w/o my wife saying anything.
  12. grrrr!!!! I went during lunch to Diamond Bar, CA Target...and they were STILL 39.99! i'm hoping others near my house are better priced.
  13. ok..ok.. so my wife doesn't have a GD account so I'm posting this on her behalf! http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/c/tag/hBKFVUlAcckdyB7t8IRBwkIDyZM/doc.html?RAF_TRACK Online and IN-STORE SPECIAL OFFER DETAILS: 10/$25 SELECT PANTIES Add any 10 panties from the "$3.99 Cotton" collection to your shopping bag. 14. lucky! I hope just to get one but wish I had the $5 coupon for $19.99..i won't complain...or will I? LOL
  15. The HP has a slower processor as compared to the Lenovo but it's faster than the Gateway or the Sony. It has an 800Mhz FSB where as the other two have 667Mhz FSB. **just thought I'd point that out** allshoppedout, for your needs, I don't see you needing to overclock anything. All of the laptops will work with your wireless router, it's just a matter of connecting to it. Fios won't help speed up the laptop itself, but rather your connection to the internet. (btw, I have FIOS too and love it :) ..way faster than my work speeds)
  16. also..if he's looking to get the new game Punchout, Target is having a sale where you buy it for $54.99 (reg. $49.99) and get a Nunchuk (retails for $19.99 separately) for the additional $5 difference between regular game price and combo price bundle this with Wii Play ($49.99@target, $44.74@walmart) and get the Wii play game with a bonus Wii Remote ($39.99 value). So there's value in finding items here and there :)
  17. there's a few deals on walmart.com if you look up "wii bundle" but most come around to be same price as if you were purchasing the items separately. (they might throw in a free game which would be good enough if you're going to buy the game anyway) EDIT: the $299.99 bundle @walmart.com is $10 cheaper than buying items separately (wii, extra wii remote, extra nunchuk) and includes a free game. here's a side deal for the wii: Official Nintendo Wii Nunchuck (REFURBISHED) - NXW-024 - $11.99 free shipping (reg $19.99) http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=211108733 Official Nintendo Wii Wireless Remote (REFURBISHED) - NXW-022 - $22.99 free shipping (reg. $39.99) http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=211108732 (this may be sold out so keep checking for it to come back in stock)
  18. 2 DAYS IN A ROW!! I went to buy the grill on sale (love it btw!) and decided to check for more MM and found 3 more!! (following AllShoppedOut's example )
  19. I stated my dislike for specific stores/employees in the past but it greatly depends on the store and staff of the one you go to. Around here, there's 3 stores but I drive further out of my way to only go to the bigger supercenter which has more friendly and helpful staff. Funny thing is, the staff at Sam's next door is 100 times more helpful/customer oriented than even my friendly Walmart!! Thus why I shop at Sams whenever I can compare that trip to a similar one at walmart
  20. okay...okay... 1st: In all the time I've been here...I've NEVER been able to find ANY MM!!! Until today. 2nd: It just has to be in a time (just my luck) that Target is beginning to notice the stockers putting them out on the shelves with regular MM. Now onto the good news. Not only did I find MM and was able to purchase it, but I found 9 MM of various flavors and the cashier didn't think twice to scan and let me purchase it!!! I was SOOOOO excited, I ran past my wife to get a cart (instead of the basket we had) and told my son not to move from the spot to keep an eye on the MM. LOL..she looked at me like I was a nut and asked why I was buying so many juices. I said "I'll tell you later.." cuz there was an employee at the next aisle. The rest of the shopping trip was the most enjoyable I have ever had at Target!! (not that the experiences are bad..but getting such a find sure can brighten one's day) :)
  21. add this to it for additional 15% off :) (hopefully it'll work) http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/EmailJump?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&jumpId=MayBCC
  22. boys? or girls? If boys..I don't know a single one who hasn't wanted to play Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed (only the Wii version lets you play vs. other players) and reviews are HERE (for Tale of Despereaux)
  23. Just went in during lunch ###Guitar Hero Aerosmith with 2 Wireless Guitars for Wii $37.48 (was $149.99) ###Sony Blu-Ray Player BDP-S305 008-06-1050 $200.98 (was $299.99) I know it's been at this price for a while but I thought I'd mention it again since my Target just put out 12 more of these units (an entire endcap just for the Guitar Hero). The Blu-Ray was the only one there.
  24. Basic stuff...including listening to music, this can handle without an issue. If they're going to use this as a main computer (which is entirely possible) I would add a keyboard and external monitor for times when they'll view it for long periods of time (such as when creating HW papers). Then when they want to take it on the go, they just disconnect and go. Some might say that defeats the purpose of having a laptop/netbook but different people have different needs and this happens to be one solution to one of my needs. (Nice to see my 14.1" laptop on my 22" monitor at home then pick up and go)
