  1. Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Staples and Victoria's Secret (when my wife gets a present from VS, I get a present in return )
  2. again, how would it have helped to have Walmart pay the MAXIMUM fine of $10,000? They paid a $7K fine and several millions towards helping the community and those involved.
  3. 6-cell $59 at amazon through tigerdirect.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DW988S/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001K56E4K&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=00P4GFSTJ9DPZ83YKWAT or you can search tigerdirect.com and other sites for the same OEM part. but they can be found for cheap
  4. Yes they would potentially have netbooks for $150 with decent specs. They would be considered loss leaders and the sales would be made up by adding the extra "necessities" employees would tell the public they "need" also, they wouldn't need a lot to get the hype up. BB has been known to do that with their "minimum 1 per store" and I've been to places where they REALLY only had 1! Plus, it wouldn't be too expensive to purchase a 6 or 9 cell battery replacement if needed and have the 3 cell as backup if someone needed it for lengthy periods over 3 hours.
  5. In several cases I would normally agree (especially when it comes to mobile/laptop processors) but I would NOT go back to a Celeron chip. I've had and tried several different units (5 years old to 2 months ago NEW) and they have been a pain to work with on many occasions. I don't think I was requiring too much of the CPU but apprently the chip did. If this was an AMD Sempron, I would ALSO agree with you. But it's an Athlon X2 Dual Core. Equivalent to the Intel Dual Core (not Core2Duo) processors typically. and for the extra $50, they give you a dedicated video card, 4GB ram and a dual-core chip. The RAM alone is worth it if you were to buy it separately :) But to each their own, I hope you end up getting the one you like most
  6. copy and paste this: ttp://www.compusa.com/applications/campaigns/campaigntemplate.asp?CampaignID=1137&SRCCODE=COMEM399MH&cm_mmc=EML-_-Main-_-COMEM399_-email add an "h" to the front :)
  7. Apparently, everyone is forgetting the laptop for sale this week @Walmart for $348. It has 4GB Ram, a Dual-Core AMD chip, 250GB hard drive, Dedicated Video Card (ATI Radeon I believe) 15.6" widescreen and Windows 7 Home Premium. it's in the ad for this week. see thread here:http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=155167
  8. If it had slightly better specs I would say it would be good for flashing Ubuntu or something similar onto it and get a cheap but much more usable netbook. I don't know if that would be possible with this however.
  9. If your walmart still has any, the Acer for $348 in this week's ad has better specs/hardware than the HP for $298. Check WM ad online and call around to see which store has any. HTH!
  10. http://www.leapfrog.com/en/landingpages/coupons.html A 2 second search brought up a $3 Q for the books. Books are $8.99 right now at Target so it's not too bad :) could be better I'm sure, but I haven't seen better than a $3 Q for TAG Jr books.
  11. I went ahead and purchased another TAG reader and a TAG Jr. I guess the current selling price set by Leapfrog is $39.99 so the $49.99 price is no longer valid (thus, no need to price match TRU) :) I tried using the $10 Q for each of the items (2 MFR and 2 Target) and it worked here too! Not a single beep to be concerned about :) I didn't need them for any more gifts/kids but my church is having a Family Literacy night and I thought these would be GREAT raffle prizes to kids who enter (they enter by finishing a book)
  12. Don't be misinformed.. A LAPTOP and a NOTEBOOK are the same thing. As said before, it's a fully functional computer. They're typically 12"-17" (screen size) and weigh between ~4.8 - 7.5 lbs. A NETBOOK is also a computer, but does not have a CD/DVD Drive and are powered by a lesser speed CPU (processor). They do all the same things as a laptop including going online, using MS Office, youtube, etc. but they SHOULD NOT be used to play any kind of intensive games. Yes you can write letters using a Word processing program (like MS Word) but you won't be comfortable using the small keyboard for hours on end. They also typically have smaller screens (7"-10.1") and weigh between 2 - 4 lbs. Hence, the portability! Are they for usable/useful? YES, VERY MUCH SO. Should they be depended on as a primary computer? Depends on what your needs are. But not typically.
  13. I personally think that Kmart is going to fool a lot of people with this "deal" The specs on this thing are no greater than a low end "smartphone" It has Windows CE, not XP nor 7. I believe it has a 2GB Hard drive and 128mb ram. Specs like those are unheard of these days!
  14. It's decent enough but in today's price battles, it's not worth $298. $249 would be good. This week's WM sale has a $348 laptop with an AMD X2 Dual Core, 4GB DDR2 RAM, and a dedicated video card. It's in their ad. The BF deal is better than this $298 deal, but not much better than the $348 one. (IMO)
  15. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showpost.php?p=1632613&postcount=34 for the Target Q. The Leapfrog one is here:http://www.leapfrog.com/etc/medialib/leapfrog/coupons/additional_coupons.Par.63631.File.tmp/10%20off%20Print%20Coupon%20For%20Tag.pdf
  16. Before you do this, be sure to take the TRU Big Toy Book with you to price match it to $39.99 THEN use your 2 Q's from Target and Leapfrog! $19.99 TAG!! :)
  17. It's kinda hard to read what you post with your avatar distracting us LOL:cheesy:
  18. I'm glad to see that they're finally making Toy Story Toddler bedding! I know it's due to Toy Story 3 coming out in the next year but my 9 year old wanted this when he was 3-4 and now my 4 year old is gonna get it :) It's not a steal in their ad, but I'm just grateful it's available!
  19. I like the kindle but I don't like that it doesn't have native pdf support. If you're looking specifically for the Sony, Toys R Us has it for $199 with a free $15 Sony Connect Card (look in the Big Toy Book for the details) My preference (when I save some $ to get it) would be the Barnes and Noble Nook
  20. #1 - "I told you GottaDeal would save us in the end!" #2 - "I'm SOOOOO glad I found these in my size! And in lace too!!" #3 - (Time for a PowerNAP...hours later...) "Whaddya mean Circuit City closed? I got the AD right here!"
  21. I'll have to go back..I just went last night and it was $2.98 for Mtn Dew yesterday still a good price but I would get more for that price. CRV kills me! (state deposit).
  22. It can actually be used more than once (because of the "everything" in the coupon) but just in case someone gives you grief, be sure to text "OPRAHSHOW" to 242424. The coupon code in the text is different than the pdf. Plus, they can't take your phone away :)
  23. I saw the TAG systems on sale just this week at TRU for $29.99 (new and old ones) but I didn't get any more as I already have them. The Big Toy Book lists them for $39.99 so I would go check the price in store before they might go up. (It might've been a local thing only so I could be wrong) I checked the Ontario store (the big one )
