A wedding venue..... Any chance those have BF deals? Our daughter just got engaged, so we have started the planning process. It is enough to make you I completely understand that running an event venue is massive work, but charging 1.50 per person to slice cake? Ooo... My DVR is loaded with Hallmark & Lifetime Christmas movies lol. It's the only time of year I watch Lifetime. Luckily, hubby doesn't mind. He really likes some of them, he deals with some and leaves for others. DD22 on the other had, cannot stand them. Go figure, she likes Bob's Burgers, or whatever it is. I downloaded the app for Hallmark and set reminders. She texted me while she was working because her calendar filled up lmao. I forgot our calendars were synched

We cut the cord several months ago, but I am not sure how much I like it. We have Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Prime, CBS (Gotta have Star Trek) via Firestick 4K. We have iPhones, iPads and Macbook Airs, an Echo Plus and Echo Dots.... and, I signed up for Disney+ We had the Apple TV as well, but it was an older version and it didn't have the apps for the services we used. I am curious about the service as there is one or two shows that look promising. The issue I am having, is that I can't see everything we watch in one place. I had to start a list of what show was on what service I guess I am just getting old lol.

We have started a digital collection, mostly 4K. I am hoping to really stock up this year, although, it may depend on how good Disney+ turns out. We love everything Marvel, Pixar and Disney. Can anyone advise the best place for digital? We have been using VUDU. Thanks!

I really love hanging fresh garland every year. Every year, we run into issues with it being so heavy that it won’t stay. I have tried many, many, many versions of hooks, nothing seems to work. I really don’t want to put nails in the walls... any suggestions? Thanks!

Countdown to Christmas

I was watching one of last year's movies last night and saw they have a free app with all of the movies listed that will send reminders. I figured what the heck, a little pop up on my phone would be nice. We use Sling and it only shows so many days out that I can't just set everything to record. About an hour after I downloaded the app, DD calls..... "Really mom? You added 40 Hallmark Christmas Movies to the family calendar?!?!?!????" I didn't realize it asked to add them to our shared iPhone calendar.... Oh well, now everyone will know I am busy

We have tons of movies on dvd & bluray but have started to watch them on Vudu with all of the digital codes. Does anyone know if there are any really good sales to purchase just the digital versions? Hubby is thinking about sending in some of our most watched to have them converted.... Thanks! Jenna

I don’t even go into the malls near us. If they did the VIP parking for a fee, I would totally go. Our malls are full of under 20’s on BF that think it’s a great day to cause trouble. As for extended family, we only buy for the kids in high school or younger, Grandparents, Godparents/Kids. Sometimes the rules get broken if we come across something that would be a really special gift. Instead, we spend extra time together, in the weekends before, preparing traditional foods from scratch. Teaching the younger generation to keep the recipes and family time going.

I would love to learn about this remote... We have a Harmony remote, but it barely controls the tv, apple tv, speakers, etc.... We have Wink, Nest Thermostat, a Schlage Lock on the front door and light bulbs. Can't wait to add more! I will be following this closely as I am no longer tech savvy and need all the help I can get. I recently did a search to find a local company that could network my house.... Not a one. The commercial ones in the area won't do residential.
