Snow melt, snow shovels, faucet covers, solar lights (small ones originally 2.00 each) 70% off clearance. Stationery and crayola items 30%-50% off. Patio getting set here too. Looks like they might actually have some decent sets this year. Yahoo for summer!!

My stores must be working much harder to find the holiday "floaters". This was the worst holiday clearance I've experienced with regard to finding random items. Easter should prove to be interesting.

Vday 90/70 in DFW.

Yesterday (2/17). Was very pleased, as I usually miss the bulk markdowns. Got laundry detergent (seventh generation 150 oz.) 50% off, dishwashing detergent (finish gel pacs/3 box pack) 30% off and toothpaste (colgate 3 pack) 30%.

Vday was 50% everything yesterday. Bulk markdowns have begun. 30%-50%. Laundry detergent, diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning supplies, some food (power bars, cereal) Lots of markdowns in domestics. 30%-70%. Rugs, linens, bath, wall art, furniture

Camping finally went down 70%. Got the Swiss Gear beach shelter for 14.98 and the Coleman canopy with sunshade for 29.08. Also found a double wide Swiss Gear sleeping bag for 23.98. I bought one of these last year and love it. Great for when my house is full of kids and they make "pallets" for crashing after a long day of baseball!! Saw the 10 person tent marked down 70% too along with lunch bags. Also found a lot of luggage marked down 70%. Got some Embark carry on rollers for 19.98 each (burnt orange and black) and saw some really nice rolling duffles too. A few toys moved to 70%. Picked up the Star Wars pinball machine for 5.xx (table top version). O'cedar's O'duster was marked down 50% along with the 20 packs of pads. Reviews are all over the place, but for 19.98, I'll try it out. If it helps keep up with the dog hair, I'll be a happy camper. Found a CK One perfume/lotion gift set for 8.xx and some Dunkin Donuts coffee marked down 50% (pumpkin spice, apple pie, salted caramel). Not a bad day at Target. Thought I would have missed the camping stuff, but they may have marked down today instead of yesterday.

Yesterday found baseball items marked down to 70% off. Camping still at 50% with the exception of the folding chairs that were marked down to 70%. Lots of bedding marked 30% and a scattering of toys marked 50% and 70%. Did find the hexbug warriors marked down to 5.xx from ~$20. Nerf water guns and some dive sticks were also in toys marked down 70%. Hard to think about swimming when it's 19 degrees outside!

Walmart 75% off and scored 2 carts full! Not usually a wally world fan, but so glad Target didn't have the dog food I needed and forced my trip to Walmart!! Found glad and ziploc containers for .68, Kleenex hand towels .71, 3 lb box of chocolates for 2.46, bath sets for 2.47, loads of other items that I can't remember. They also had the 3packs of Puffs tissues with lotion marked down to 1.98. That's 50% but if you have coupons, might be worth the trip.

On NYD it's usually 50% off and only on that day. They opened at 9:30am last year here in DFW area. Can't wait to read about the 2014 sale!

Food items moved to 50% (cartons of goldfish, boxed hershey chocolates, market pantry snacks, bagged candy were 30% with first markdown). Everything else stayed the same.

Albertsons is running a promo for every $100 in gift cards (selection at my store was mastercard, buffalo wild wings, itunes, applebees, lowes, kohls, toys r us, amc) get $20 off your next grocery purchase. I did this over the weekend and knocked out a good portion of my g/c list. The catch was the coupon issued was actually 2 coupons for $10 each to be redeemed, one per transaction/per person/per day. Not sure how strict they will be with this policy. Going to redeem mine today, so will be interesting. I didn't see that explained in fine print prior to my purchase, so a little bent. I may have to enlist the help of my boys to redeem in one trip. All in all, still a good deal for us since I shop there frequently.

Got 2 of the Scrabble and 2 of the Yahtzee (plenty on shelf). Sold out of Simon. Will check back later since sale runs thru the 16th. Clerk said they had restocked, so I guess that's why I was able to pick them up 3 days into the sale. Don't give up!

Anyone see 90% off Halloween yet?

Here, the bagged candy used to go down to 30%, but the rest (boxed candy, candy in tubs, cheezits, rice crispies, fruit by the foot, monster cereal snacks, etc) would all go 50%. Goldfish cartons have usually been excluded and put back on regular shelves. This year, anything food related was only 30% and I did scan the items I wanted to double check. Not too hopeful for the snacks making it to 50% since the weekend is upon us and I'm sure most will be sold. I will be checking just in case, and I'm sure the markdown schedule will keep me guessing.

All the Halloween candy/snacks/cereals/food 30% here in DFW. Bummed, as I usually stock up on the bulk snacks at 50%. Paper products 50% here too. Yup, I hope this isn't the last year we see 50% off on Nov 1st, but it doesn't look good. I did manage to get the disposable coffee cups, solo cups and kleenex. First time I've ever seen more than a couple people at store opening. There had to have been 8 or 9 women running to the clearance!! I guess my days of leisure shopping are over. One of the runners snagged all the paper towels and the other runners were a little vocal. I couldn't help but giggle a little. Why do I find that so amusing??

Lots of markdowns in electronics yesterday. Found headphones (skull candy, urbanears, etc) all 70% off. Ipod speakers (jensen, sony) 70% off. iphone and ipad accessories (screen film, cases) all 70% off. Jensen bluetooth wireless shower speakers 14.xx (70% off) - got these for under the tree filler. Some Christmas shopping just got marked off my to do list. Yahoo! Backpacks still 30% off here. All BTS gone. Some summer floating around (metal lanterns) for 70% and saw exercise accessories for 70% off. All waterguns/pool accessories gone.

Jackpot!! Lawn and Garden, BTS (with the exception of backpacks) 70%. Found Trapper Keepers for $3, 1 1/2" binders .70, boxes of glue sticks (30 count) $2, post it notes .30, gallon round up 4.xx, roundup multi use sprayer 5.xx, cooler carrier w/wheels, 5.xx. Saw hoses, planters, folding lawn chairs, umbrellas, bbq stuff, watering cans, off bug spray, clip on bug repellent, solar path lights all 70%. Also found 20 count Betty Crocker Scooby fruit snacks 2.48 (50% off) and loads of crayola items (sidewalk chalk packs, travel color sets w/lap desk) at 70% off too. Some stationery/party supplies marked 70%.

Lots of activity in lamps/domestics. Saw some serving platters, plastic cups (4pack) marked down 70%. Mostly summer looking stuff that didn't go down with the big 90%. BTS mostly 30% with a few scattered 50%. BBQ 50% Remaining summer patio type items all 50% (seems to be lasting 50% much longer than any previous year) Mens jeans marked down 50% along with a lot of champion athletic wear (if you get the register coupons, check them because last week I got $5 off $20 mens clothing, $5 off $20 champion purchase, $5 off $20 mens accessories including underwear) I can't keep track of the clearance schedule anymore. Very sporadic and I must be loosing interest, didn't even venture to toys today.

That's 50% off the original price and they were not marked.
