Dollar spot at 70%. Got hand warmers and foot warmers for .30 and 3 packs of travel tissues for .30. Expiration date on warmers was 2018.

Hallmark now 90% off. Got two huge bags of ornaments, note pads, wrapping paper, ribbon, candles, home decorations for under $25!! YMMV

Walmart and CVS 90% off here in North DFW. Not sure when either went. I saw CVS yesterday and Walmart today.

If you are a member of Sams Club, they have Outback gift card packs that contain 3 of the $25 gift cards plus a $10 gift card bonus for $71.98. So $85 worth of gift cards for $71.98. Also saw that they are putting up displays of many other gift card packs, but the Outback deal was by far the best . . . if you have folks to buy for who would enjoy Outback.

Gas cards seem to come in handy for some of my family, especially if they are traveling over the holiday break. I've also bought memberships to Sams Club and Costco for my parents. If some of your friends/relatives that are really hard to buy for have pets, you can pick up their dog/cat food. If they use a brand like Wellness Core, believe me, a large bag of dog food would be an awesome gift!! Good Luck! I struggle with this same issue every Christmas.

Lots of 70% off markdowns in bedding. Got 400 thread count sheet sets, king size for 17.xx. Also Fieldcrest bath sheets 5.xx and door mats from 2.xx to 3.xx. Had a coupon for $10 off $50 home purchase, so that helped too. Also, every time I've checked out, I've received a printed $5 off $30 purchase of home items. Saw a lot of markdowns in clothing. Several racks of 70% off in women's, mens, and kids. Mostly summer clothes.

Last year, some fab gottadealer (don't remember who) started a thread containing all the gift card promos for the holiday season. I have already started Christmas shopping and I am looking to get some gift cards for fillers and to knock out those tough-to-buy-for folks. Grills, patio umbrellas, and most remaining summer went 70% off today. Got a Char-broil gas grill for 29.98 (99.99 orig), some nice planters and solar yard lights for 70% off. Nerf water guns 70% off. Also picked up an hp printer for 49.xx on clearance for 50% off. Only the "little kid" backpacks were marked down 70%. The swiss army, transports, etc were only 30% and those were few and far between. Was hoping to pick up a few but doesn't look like promising. Lots of school stuff marked 70% off here too. Mostly things I don't need but did managed to find some Mead Trapper Keepers.

Also found the solid color folders (2 pockets w/o brads) for .01 each and the 2 pocket poly folders for .05 each. I don't remember the school stuff ever going 90%. Seems everything always had the red markdown stickers which only went down to 70%. Glad they had some items that went down on a seasonal scale. We go thru post it notes like water

Thanks for the post about the dollar spot. The giant tootsie rolls are included and so are the freezer pops. I picked up the tootsie rolls for my "big" trick or treaters!! These will be a hit. Also found some Frozen items that were 50% off too. Weird this time around . . . signs said "50% off items that have red dot on shelf". Not the usual "black dot" or "blue oval" specific. This made things a little trickier for me as the shelves were a MESS and I wasn't sure if the items were suppose to be on sale or not. Some of the descriptions on the shelves were vague, so did a lot of scanning. Mostly black triangle items.

Summer 70% and 90% in North DFW. Sparse selections. One store salvaged at 70%! First time I've seen this. Hope not a sign of things to come.

Got some great deals today. Lamps, chairs, side tables, wall art all marked down 70%!! A few of the patio sets were 70% today as well.

Markdowns in every department, or so it seemed. Patio 30-50% off, even the outdoor cushions, which usually get marked down later in the season (after the big 70% markdown). Bedding marked down 50%. Lots of markdowns in food, most at 50% off. Saw wine, pizza kits, canned northern beans, canned chili beans, simply balanced cereals and tons more at 50% off. Also charmin and bounty packs marked down 30%-50% off. If you've got coupons, this is a pretty good deal. I had some register coupons and paired them with manufacturers coupons to make the deal even better. Also found Duck Dynasty camo throws and comforters marked down 70%.

Saw markdowns in electronics. Ones I remember were PSP Pirates of Caribbean down 50%, lots of cases for phones/tablets 30%-70% off, electronic bracelet for storing medical info marked down 70%, mini speakers for ipods 50-70% off, some PS3 games, but can't remember which titles were 50% off. If you're already in store, might be worth a look. Picked up the Champion drawstring backpacks for 1.48 down from 5 bucks. These were a great find as my sons are always needing something lightweight to carry around a change of clothes/shoes from pool hopping or tournaments.
